During check in, the check in staff was professional and welcoming. She was training a new hire and was doing excellent in performing both tasks. The pool is the selling point we look for. We live a short drive away and like to get away for quick weekend trips. With weather hotter we opted for an outdoor pool and it did not disappoint! It was gorgeous and different than the typical square shape. The beds were comfy and plenty of space in the room. The bathroom was spacious the toilet had a wall separating it which was a nice change also. Overall, this weekend getaway was awesome.

I get disappointed when I see the Euro pillows in hotels. They’re cute but I truly love the big fluffy pillows and think Euro pillows should be left for decor.

Loved the ceiling fan in the room! And the movable magnifying mirror. The breakfast was good. Community Coffee is the best!

The curtains in our room were messed up, but we didn't realize it until we were getting in the bed, late at night. Only half of the window was covered by the curtain and there was no track or rod to pull it across to cover the entire window and block the lights from the parking lot. We improvised and pulled them to cover as much as we could, and held it in place with a chair. Fortunately, the light did not shine on our pillows while sleeping.

It could have been a bit cleaner but overall cleanliness was okay and would still recommend for family and friends. Lots of repairs are needed in many of the rooms. I would love to do these repairs and am willing to help maintain rooms... JS! Things like loose tiles on bathroom floor, the balcony had pieces of rock literally taped with duck tape to keep it on the wall and occasional touch ups of new paint would be nice or skim coating all ways for an updated look.. just some suggestions! Would like to have a few free nights sometimes. There doesn't appear to be a way to earn any free stays m

I liked everything! We stayed in 3 different La Quinta hotels within a week of our travel. This Lubbock location was the best! We enjoyed everything: the staff was very professional, efficient, went far and beyond. We arrived late at night and everything was closed, but the staff found the way to provide us with hot water for tea. Rooms were exceptional, breakfast was very good as well as the breakfast area. We were very pleased with our stay

Manager was very nice and accommodating to our requests. Breakfast was good, enjoyed hot food. Location good, nice part of Lubbock.

Issues: 1st room, ceiling damage. 2nd room: Needs paint touchups/curtain reset on rod. Hand-written please tip note on a can in the serving area. During breakfast a preteen girl was laying down on the sofa in the dining area with her phone playing loudly. Have no idea where parents were unless she was an employee's daughter. A messy cluttered cart sat to the side at reception desk including a Clorox cleaner bottlle also there the next day. IMO, It should be behind the wall not in front of guests. There appeared to be a broken down black car parked at the entrance just outside the portico. It was there the entire time of our stay.

It is a decent and quiet hotel at a reasonable price, the staff is very unfriendly, the beds are big but the mattresses are very hard, I woke up with back pain, I went to have breakfast at 7:00 am, I came back to sleep for a while longer but for me Bad luck, my room was on the first floor right next to the housekeeper and cleaning room, I heard a lot of noise from 9:00 am, a lot of people talking loudly about the housekeeper, I couldn't sleep further. The room is spacious and clean but the bathroom did not seem to be clean, mainly the toilet had limescale around it, the breakfast they serve is good but simple, even though the breakfast area is very spacious, the gym area is small, they have a mini shop to buy snacks and drinks, I would probably return to this hotel if the reception staff could be friendlier and improve the cleanliness of the bathroom

Staff in front of the desk are not friendly and are not bilingual, the bathroom was not clean, it had tartar around it, the mattress was very hard.

Clean room with plenty of space, nice shower, nice size bathroom, comfortable beds.staff was friendly and helpful. Included Breakfast was very decent as well.

Blackout curtain installed wrong — was blocking wall and didn’t slide to actually block light from window. We had an ice chest and bags and 4th floor rooms…. The elevators were broken - which made getting our stuff to the rooms and back than pleasant. This seems to be an intermittent problem here based on other reviews.

We stayed at La Quinta for our wedding and we have really enjoyed it. The staff was very nice and even upgraded us for a Suite with a couch, so we had more space for our luggage. The room was clean and the beds were really comfortable. We would definitely stay there again!

The pool area could have a little update with the chairs. The breakfast was standard american. As an European you are not used to have plastic plates and plastic silverware.

We were on a 3 week vacay stayed everywhere from the Riverwalk to beach front Galveston and Corpus Cristi This was by far the cleanest well maintained hotel we stayed in the whole trip. The decor very nice! Alot of little surprises like the upgraded ceiling fan to the water fixtures and choice of bathtub or shower TV was great bed was comfortable I will definitely stay here on next years vacay.

The check in girl was not to friendly I didn't get her name because she was not impressive at all. She was eating and on the computer at the breakfeast area not at the front desk I felt like I interrupted her.

The staff was very accommodating and helpful. The breakfast was hot and plentiful. The room was comfortable with very good temperature control.

The hot water control in the first floor accessible room (room #1030) took a LONG TIME to reach a desirable/usable temperature. It took upwards of 6-7 minutes before a hint of warmth came from the shower faucet.
