The breakfast was a typical hotel buffet style continental breakfast. It was a small selection, but everything was hot or fresh. The location was convenient to two main highways, making it easy to get anywhere in Waco quickly and had shopping, restaurants and entertainment within walking distance. We were able to pull up our Netflix account on the TV and relax when we got back to our room after a long day of sightseeing. It was hot outside, but we had complete control of our room temperature and the AC worked great. Tru had the 3 C's covered - clean, comfortable, and convenient. We have used Tru by Hilton in several locations. They have been consistently excellent for us.

The only negative was that we could not check in before 3:00 on the dot. We were there early, so we went to the shopping center around the corner and wasted some time (and money) waiting to check in. Had we used the app, it would have probably have been a little quicker.

The front desk staff was very nice and attentive! Anytime we came in, they had smiles and warm welcomes and if we needed extra towels, they were fast to replinish our supply. Very nice hotel.

The cook / server for breakfast was very grumpy and bossy. When the area ran out of napkins, I let the guy at the front desk know and she was sitting at a table barking out instructions for him to go look for more. He had a front desk to run and had to resupply the items for breakfast. Doesn't seem right and she really had a sour look on her face the whole time we were there....even fussed at a patron while she was using the toaster. There's a way to approach people and this woman really needs lessons on how to smile and interact with people.

Our second time staying here and it was another good experience. It was clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff was friendly and efficient at both check-in and checkout. The location was excellent and parking was easy. Overall, a good value for the money.

Overall everything was fine but there were several very minor things of note. The breakfast was adequate but nothing special. The shower door did not close completely leaving about 1/2 inch gap allowing some water on the floor. The bathroom had only one wash cloth. Some might complain about no in-room coffee maker but coffee is available in the lobby.

We really enjoyed this hotel with its bright decor and colors. The deco was very modern and lively. The bedding was very soft and mattresses extremely comfortable. It was in the perfect location to stay a couple nights. Pricing was very good for a newer and very comfortable hotel.

The size of the room was a little smaller than normal, but with all the other positive attributes of the hotel, it really didn’t matter. Breakfast was okay, but could have used a healthy dry cereal instead of all sweet ones oriented towards the kids.

The location was excellent both for shopping, dining, etc., and my personal requirements. The rooms are efficient and spacious and the property is simple, clean and has most of the amenities a traveler needs. Great value compared to other properties in the area.

A group of teenagers came to the hotel and were a bit loud. To their or the hotel's credit, the noise went down at 10:00pm and only a few individuals making noise after that. I had a quiet room until they put one of the groups next door and the walls are too thin to prevent the noise, music, talking, etc. from being heard loudly.

The breakfast was great every morning, the bed was comfortable, and the staff were very nice. This seems like more of a business class hotel, and it's perfect for that. When we weren't going to area attractions, we were comfortable staying in our room.

We don't travel often, so the cost of the room seemed a bit high. We were quoted $380 on Booking.com, so it was a surprise when they charged $490 to my credit card. The lady who checked us in explained it well, but it still would have been good to know ahead of time that the cost would be $50 extra. The only other thing I suggest would be daily trash pickup from the rooms. The trash cans are small.

It was clean and spacious and since I'm in a wheelchair due to the amputation of my right leg they really accommodated us very well. The shower bench was terrific and already in the bathroom and attached to the bathtub very quickly and with ease! All the bars in the bathroom were awesome and the shower was amazing! The welcome on the TV screen sent it over the top of more than a 10! Thank you for a very nice stay! We were here for a viewing and funeral of my cousin who died suddenly and your staff was great about it. Your breakfast was delicious as well! We will definitely be back and stay at more TRU hotels!

There was nothing we didn't like

I loved the location relative to restaurants and shops and the facilities and rooms were great. Everything was very clean and the room was terrific. The bed was very comfortable and the window shade kept out the light. The tv was big and the lamp had a dimmer, which was a great idea. Would definitely stay again.

If I had to be picky, I would say the lobby area isn’t very inviting. That area is a bit dark and while the decor and furniture is fun the setup is a bit awkward. The placement of the front desk being centrally located is a nice idea, but it kind of feels like the staff member who works there in the midst of everyone’s conversations, especially since there is no background noise of any kind (like music or a tv). The water pressure in the shower was quite poor.

The breakfast was very good! Good choices, good presentation and plenty of options! All staff members were friendly and helpful! We stayed here 3 nights and will stay again if we return to Waco! This was a great location for restaurants, shopping and all things magnolia!

This is absolutely not the fault of the hotel but many people chose to not clean up after their dogs. I don’t understand that because the hotel had clean up bags and a place to put them.

Everything was clean and smelled really nice! Loved the board by the elevator with local things to do/places to go! The staff was SO friendly and welcoming. Very very happy with every aspect of this stay! So much so, I booked a second night! The gym was clean and sanitized as well. All the staff greeted me throughout the hotel. LOVE this place!

Absolutely NO complaints. Wish they had a pool, but everything was FANTASTIC!
