The facilities were great. Staff very kind and courteous. The location was in the middle of everything you need while visiting Norfolk, even walking distance. Room very spacious. Showers were big and water pressure was great. I liked that the complimentary water was available on each floor. Every place should do that.

There was smell of smoke on our floor. The bed post blocked the TV view. We didn't have a real place to eat inside the room. There's seating but no table or movable chair. Should have multiple valet. Our guy was running every time we came back.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean and comfortable with a trendy uptown vibe. The location was fantastic for walking to restaurants, etc

My only gripe was the parking garage situation and the upcharge from the hotel. I realize parking is limited, but the garage is not connected to or affiliated with the hotel and walking there with luggage wasnt ideal. That said, had we planned better and brought more cash, we would have taken advantage of the valet service. Since we did not come and go during our stay, the parking upcharge was kinda ridiculous... only a few dollars, but we work hard for all of them.

I didn't like the fact that booking.com did not reach back out to me regarding why the hotel charged my card 450.35 before I even arrived. Booking said they couldn't call(reach someone) however I called and spoke to the front desk...then they took almost $2000 dollars when the room only cost $1425 on top of that they said they would refund it back on my debit card then said well it has to go on the card you payed for the rest of the balance with...everything was an headache especially when booking.com told me no money was due until we arrived (that was not true....

The rooms were very clean and modern. The sink had a glass bowl and light that was pretty. The curtains were good at blocking light for sleeping in. The bed was very comfortable, and the shower had a cool extra shower head thing. The glass gallery was pretty too.

The rooms feeling was not exactly "warm/welcoming" and had a rocking chair that seemed to be designed more for looks than comfort. The parking was supposedly validated for the stay, but we were charged leaving the garage the next day.

This hotel was wonderful on every level from amazing staff, the high end/luxurious rooms and wonderful location. Every employee gave top notch customer service. The shower was beautiful and the bedding was so comfortable. The room was large with 2 beds, table with 2 chairs and chaise lounger for additional seating. The free water and fruit on every floor was an extra bonus. The view was beautiful and many things to do within a 5 minute walk. I would definitely stay here again!

I wish I would have known to request an in room microwave. This was the only thing I was missing.

Breakfast was not included, but I ordered snd it was delicious. Staff at the front desk and the restaurant was very friendly! Parking was available. But the most I liked the glass exhibition!

There was no view from the window, I think higher level with a view to the city, particularly to the water, would be wonderful. Mine was looking into the “hole” of the hotel square. It’s a hollow square hotel.

The room and decor was very nice! The staff was very accommodating and attentive. We went for dinner but was a few minutes too late. Everyone seemed to be enjoying dinner. I would definitely stay again.

Definitely wasn't a deal breaker I just noticed that there was no ventilation in the bathroom and we loved the view of the city street but the windows needed cleaning. The entrance sidewalk needs yellow paint or reflectors as it's a tripping hazard. I actually fell as I didn't notice the step up...but I was OK just a little sore. Everything seemed to close so early there.

Didn't try the breakfast - hubby thought too expensive. But PERFECT location/walking distance to the function we were attending and also to restaurants and the mall. We loved this and the hotel's environment. Our stay was not long so did not have the opportunity enjoy all areas of the hotel.

We attended the Jazz festival this past weekend for the 1st time and had a great time. So that means a return trip for next year. Wanted to stay here again but the price is above what we wanted to spend so we reserved @ another hotel.

Beautiful and unique property, great location. The room I had was twice as big as I expected and the views were awesome. We really enjoyed the glass art gallery and it was convenient having a bar and restaurant in the hotel. The check-in process was very quick and the staff was friendly.

I needed to check in at 4 and I stated that at the time that I booked the room. Then the day that I needed to check in I was told it would not be ready at 4. I wasn't able to check in until after 5 and I had a meeting at 6 and then event at 7 it gave me very little time to prepare for that. Also, the parking options only gave me self-park And yet when I drove through the garage I had to drive up three levels before I can find a spot that was not saved for the valet. I was never offered a valet or given any information about a valet.

Breakfast was excellent. There are several Good options in the area as well, but if you feel like staying in or eating in the restaurant I’d highly recommend. Love location- very walkable to waterfront great restaurants, and theatre area.

You have to pay extra to park $19 per day. Not horrible but would have been nice if included by hotel.
