I liked that the check-in process was quick and efficient. Free coffee and tea are offered at the lobby.

The breakfast buffet area was too small to accommodate the big crowds on that day. When I called a few times asking for an early check-in, I was told by different agents that it was not feasible. Depending on who I spoke with, the reasons varied from "we don't offer early check-in" to "try the day of the checking-in" to "the hotel is fully occupied to accommodate." However, upon arrival, it was awesome, and I received early check-in as an IHG member, which made me very happy.

The location is great, I walked to the main sights. I stayed in the Standard room, which is very nice and comfortable. A Keurig coffee machine, microwave, and fridge are convenient in the room. The bed is very comfortable and the TV is conveniently large. The bathroom is nice as well, and for travels, handwash, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are very welcome. My room faced the K ST, which gets some traffic even through the night. Near the hotel, there are various restaurants and shops. A 7-Eleven or Safeway is less than 5 minutes by foot. The staff is friendly and helpful, WiFi works without any issues.

Light sleepers may have issues with rooms facing K ST. Complimentary breakfast is welcome, but there is place for improvement. Also, the coffee could use some more coffee beans. But this may be a US thing, speaking as a central European.

The front desk agent was exceptional! She was extremely helpful, courteous, and professional 👏. She went above and beyond her profession. Give her a raise. Breakfast was par excellent!👌 a plethora of foods, fruits, hot breakfast, even cold cereals to choose from. An assortment of muffins, danishes, fruit juices, yogurts, you name it, it was there for you to eat! Very clean hotel, and I love the fragrance of the lobby! Thank you Holiday Inn Express Washington DC!

The room was nice and it accommodated as stated for 5. The room was comfortable and it came with a fridge , microwave and coffee maker. The staff at the front desk was nice and the lobby had a lot of seating with coffee and tea available. The hotel also had free breakfast which was pretty descent offering a lot of different options.

I noticed one elevator was working the day of checkout but it didn’t damper the mood and my room didn’t have an iron which I made known but advised one could be delivered to the room. The stay was overall great:)

This was a fantastic stay for the facilities, location and price! We were actually kind of shocked at how much it hit all the points for our family. Room had mini fridge and microwave which helped a ton. We used the laundry and work out room with no problems. We left a ton of stuff in our room as we toured the area and came back to a clean room with all our things where we left them. Valet was also great.

There was no pool, but honestly who has time for that while in DC!

Breakfast was good and tasty, try to go earlier otherwise there can be bigger lines later in the morning. Hotel is located at the walking distance from the Capitol and Supreme Court. There are stores and places to eat nearby as well. We travelled for work and everything was fine really. Staff were super helpful and very professional.

Nothing to complain, but a minor remark, as I was travelling for work, the ironing board could have been bigger and more comfortable to use, and the Iron itself had some stain on it, which I saw a bit late, but it did not ruin the shirt, so everything fine in the end.

Guy at desk yelled at me on the phone when I rang to ask about parking, was pretty unpleasant when I was asking if the $ 49 was for a whole day or if there was an hourly rate... name was Ritchie, all other staff were lovely. Didn't like cardb0ard plates etc.... we are from the UK... this is what you would get in the cheapest of hotels... plus all the waste from not using proper plates...yuk When I checked out I saw I'd been charged for parking every day when we had only parked a car for 8 hours out of the 3 days... when I questioned this the receptionist girl said... oh I always do that.... lucky I noticed... that left a sour tone

We loved this hotel! we had a beautiful corner room on the 8th floor with an amazing view. The room was super clean and a spacious. It had both a microwave and refrigerator. The bed was super comfortable!!! Also in a great location for walking to get to the food. Staff was from and the free breakfast was good and the price was great for. Short notice stay.

Parking was not great. Luckily we were able to find street parking right in front of the hotel.

Very clean hotel, in a nice area. The front desk staff were really helpful and nice. We needed additional sheets and blankets for pullout couch. With a simple phone call to front desk, they had sheets delivered very quickly. Great service!

Beware the fellow tending the breakfast area. He was very mean to people just trying to get some food. He yelled at my son for not using tongs to remove his toast from the toaster - this was completely unnecessary. I then observed him express similar behavior towards other guests. It was a very bizarre experience...part of me thought this must be some elaborate joke (Seinfeld Soup Nazi episode came to mind). In hindsight, it has definitely made for a funny story about our trip. Other than that, the hotel was great, and other staff were great.

Located in a beautiful neighborhood, walking distance to the nation's mall and tourist attractions. Two really comfortable beds and very nice breakfast service. You can also grab a free cup of coffee anytime in the lobby. Enjoyed a lot my stay there.

Minor, odd detail: the bathroom light is automated with presence detector and for some reason it kept turned on overnight! Easy solution found was keeping door closed.
