The best part about this hotel I guess is its central location, walking distance from Union Train Station and the US Capitol building. All of DC's main attractions including the many cool museums are walking distance from the hotel. I arrived at Union Station late in the evening and in less than 5 mins of walking I was already checking in at the hotel. Union station itself has lots of dining options so if you need food you can easily walk here from the hotel. The hotel offers free hot drinks on the second floor, there's gym at the basement, and there's a classic style restaurant that offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner a la carte. The staff were all nice and accommodating. The room itself was very spacious and the bathroom provided free toiletries that you can use. Both wifi and satellite TV worked perfectly during my stay.

The 100 usd security deposit payable only through card. The bottled water in the room should be complimentary at no extra cost too, in my opinion.

good location, close to the train station comfortable bed, great shower

I don't like paying a "facility fee," though this is now standard in the hotel industry; there's really no reason it should be. I didn't use any of the facilities except for the coffee machine. But are a few cups of coffee worth a $32 daily fee? I don't think so. Another thing that's an industry standard is that hotel rooms and rates are set up for two people, not one person. As a solo traveler, I resent having to pay double. In Europe, a solo traveler pays for a single room and is charged a lower rate. Traveling in the U.S. is not cost-effective for a single person.

The staff were exceptionally helpful and kind, going above and beyond to make our stay memorable. As a lovely gesture for our anniversary, they even gifted us a bottle of wine, which was a thoughtful touch. The building itself is both historic and beautiful, offering a charming atmosphere. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and cozy, making it the perfect retreat. The value for money was outstanding, and we felt it was an excellent choice. A standout feature was the unlimited coffee and chocolate bar, which was especially appreciated during our winter visit. Additionally, the hotel offers laundry service at no charge, which was a wonderful bonus. The location is also ideal – right in front of the train station, with easy access to bus and metro services. This made it incredibly convenient for traveling and served as a great point of reference during our stay.

To be honest... nothing. It was perfect.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cozy and comfortable hotel! We want to highlight the cleanliness, as well as the politeness and professionalism of the staff. The hotel is in an excellent location, within walking distance of the main attractions. Additionally, there is a nearby train station, which made it convenient for us to travel to our next destination. We felt comfortable and safe both inside the hotel and in the surrounding area, which seemed clean and secure. We also appreciated the complimentary coffee included in our stay, which we enjoyed every morning. A special 10 out of 10 goes to the exceptionally large and incredibly comfortable bed!

As for minor points that didn’t affect our overall experience, we would note the rather small bathroom and the view from the window, which faced the wall of a neighboring building. Additionally, there was a strong smell of food from the restaurant in the elevator and lobby area on the first floor.

The hotel is excellent situated, just a short walk from the Capitol and next to Union Station. Room was spacious, mattress and pillows comfies. Personnel reasonably polite. Shops around and an attached restaurant present. Nice neighborhood. Easily accessible by public transportation (subway station inside the Union Station). Wi-fi working well. Bath convenient.

Need a little improvement on cleaning. I personally dislike carpets that are more difficult to clean, look tired or filthy and attract microorganisms that can cause allergy or other diseases. I think it would be more cost efficient and better for the hotel to remove those carpets.

The bed was the second most comfortable I've ever slept in, and the pillows are exactly what I've been searching for. I am shopping for the same mattress because I am sleeping worse at home than I did at the hotel! Location was great, and we could catch the Circulator bus easily. The proximity to Union Station is amazing, especially since we took the train in. It's also nice to have the food court close by because DC restaurants are pricey!! All the employees were very kind and helpful.

Almost everything was great, but when we ordered takeout from the Dubliner, my husband's burger was not medium well....it was almost rare. By the time he decided to eat and checked his food, it was too late to take it back to get fixed. I did tell him he should have checked his food immediately. One out of 2 small elevators broken during our entire 5 night stay.

The location is excellent close to Union Station and in walking distance of Capitol Hill. We had connecting rooms which were not large (especially the bathroom) but good and had excellent beds. It was to the backside of the building with the privilege of being quiet (even with window open at night). Several restaurants in walking distance and Irish Pub Dubliners inhouse. Corner Bakery next door is a superb deli for breakfast.

Nothing big to complain. Window was not working properly in one of the rooms. The Dubliners pub is very busy and almost too loud for conversations. The drinks were good, however the food nothing special and limited menu options.

The location was perfect for us, as we arrived and departed from Union Station. The street where the hotel is located offers a stunning view of the Capitol. The staff was friendly and luckily our room was ready early, so they allowed us to check in ahead of time, which was fantastic. The hotel lobby was cozy. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the shower was perfect, and the room was very spacious. On the second floor, there’s a station where you can get coffee, tea, or water 24/7, which is great for warming up after a long day. I usually book hotels that include breakfast, but this one didn’t offer that option on Booking. I think they serve breakfast in the hotel’s attached restaurant, but we ended up going to a nearby café instead.

The woman at the front desk who helped us out was exceedingly nice and helpful. Also, the room was literally twice the size I was expecting and more comfortable. We also dined at the lobbies restaurant The Dubliner which was good my meal was good and the live music was great and inspired.

Besides the main woman who helped us, all the other staff we met were a bit unattentive. Also, the bathroom was pretty small. However, I would sacrifice a medium to large bathroom on a bigger bedroom anyway, so I didn't mind it at all. My only complaint about The Dubliner I have is the waitress we got was EXTREMELY inattentive. She took our order, and we did not see her AT ALL til she came with the bill. All other staff, however, looked friendly and attentive.

We chose this hotel primarily for its location and indeed it is great, as is public transport availability. Ideal if you wan't to see the sight around National Mall. The staff were always nice, although we did not interact with them much. The in house Dubliner Irish Pub and Restaurant was also good with live music most nights. Our room was also nice and clean, with the usual features. The daily complimentary hot drinks were appreciated. We would book this hotel again when going back to DC.

Our room was on the 6th floor with the window facing the inner courtyard where the main AC unit was which meant there was a constant slight buzzing sound, but other than that it was a quite place. The table in the room was a bit too small, a longer one would still fit, but the room in general could have been more spacious.
