The room was spacious and comfortable, with good lighting and a beautiful view of Thomas Circle. The gym was well equipped, clean, and included a Peloton. The location was excellent, walkable to museums, the Mall, and restaurants.

There was an extra $30 daily fee to use the gym, internet and pool, but the outdoor pool was close due to the weather. Due to the glass wall between the shower and bedroom, when the bathroom light was on, it shone brightly into the bedroom, an annoyance if someone else is trying to sleep.

Very spacious, modern and well equipped room. We loved the quirky décor, especially in the lobby! The room was clean and well maintained with all the usual facilities. The hotel bar /restaurant was great with good food and a very reasonable price (especially for DC) The staff were very helpful and friendly - nothing was too much trouble. We really appreciated that several staff responded to specific requests quickly. The location of the hotel was perfect for walking to local landmarks and also for accessing the metro.

The safe in our room malfunctioned but the maintenance staff did respond quickly to resolve the issue.

State of the art hotel with a beautiful rooftop pool. Spacious and very clean room, good shower and bed. Great location, DC metro is just a few blocks away. Bus 80 brings you easaly to Union Station and busses 54 and 52 to The Mall (52 even directly to The Wharf where you can eat very well).

The hotel charges a resort fee of $ 30 plus tax per day per room for the use of internet, pool and so on. Unfortunately, this seems to become more and more common in the US: offering a 'cheap' rate per room per night and add a mandatory 'resort fee' for extra services you may even not use. Note: this 'resort fee' is (so far) not mentioned under the Booking.com hotel information.

The hotel was in a great location and walking distance from a lot of attractions while not being directly in the middle of it all. The hotel had some great features. Selfie corner allowed for great pictures and tiktoks with the crew.

The pool was not as expected as it was very crowded as it felt like an oversize community bathtub. When we first arrived our room desk fell on us from the wall and we had to change rooms. The new room was not nearly as nice as the original for celebrating a Bride on her bachelorette weekend. The hotel management was accommodating to this issue right away. Shower plumbing was of concern. Stopped up sinks and showers were annoying.

Traveled with my mother, my husband, and three children in two rooms. This hotel was very supportive of my family vacation. There is a pool table and huge "lite-brite" wall which was so much fun for the kids in the lobby. I loved all of the femenist artwork. The best part of the experience was the generosity and attentiveness of the staff. I cannot overstate how pleasant and kind everyone was, particularly the valet team. I don't think I've ever felt so "at home" in a hotel before. DC is an exhausting family vacation, and Zena was a perfect spot to rest and recharge. Can't wait to come back!

Great location and reasonable walking distance from many desirable attractions. A couple of blocks from Metro and metro bus stops. Well appointed, but no microwave. Comfortable bedding, good lighting, and good control over window shades for exterior views and daylighting. Good sized TV with ability to adjust position and angles. Plenty of electrical plugs and outlets types. Safe, refrigerator, iron and ironing board and lighted closet with ample space for most short term (one week or less) stay. Able to connect to TV using Chromecast. Overhead and handheld shower option and good towel selections.

WiFi very intermittent and spotty. Connection to Chromecast for TV only fair. TV channels only partially viewable due to bad connection. Nice quality pocket door to bath not adjusted properly so a little difficult to operate and noisy. Shower very nice, but had crack in pre-molded shower flooring and no place to hold on to which would have been nice and safer. Exhaust from bath could have functioned better or been more effective. Food selections very limited for brunch, lunch, or dinner - breakfast options better. No ice machines on individual floors. Parking close by, but only by Valet and expensive.

Pretty nice place to stay in the center of DC. Sitting on a corner of Mass and 14th NW it has a very convenient location for almost anything you'll need in DC. I've got a nice one bedroom suite, properly equipped. Very good bed. Both shower and a separate tub (which is very nicely shaped and sized). Very clean. Decent breakfast options and generally nice stuff.

All those nitty-gtritty details that distinguish good and great... I've stayed on the 12th floor and the ceiling was just too low... Also, I've asked for a quiet room. I was given a nice suite rather far from the elevator, but... the windows looked at a big and powerful exhaust fan on the roof and it was f&*$ng very noisy, even despite the windows were non-openable... There was a coffee-maker in the room, but it made an awful coffee... The staff... generally attentive, but I had to wait for my car several times cause the valet was... having breakfast or busy with whatever else. And the parking price is pretty outrageous...

I liked that the property was very clean! That is something that is very important to me when traveling making sure the rooms are always clean! The staff came every morning to clean & if you were still sleeping they came back later.

I traveled with my spouse, he didn’t like that the room didn’t have a microwave. He felt that with the price of the room there should’ve been a microwave. I didn’t mind. Be that was his least favorite thing and the size of the room he thought it was small.

Convenient location near Thomas Circle just three blocks from McPherson Square Metrorail. Bed was on the soft side which was even better than your standard hotel experience. Friendly staff and nice room.

This was a three-city vacation and this hotel being priced similar to Brooklyn was a little eyebrow raising. The hotel's marketing strategy looks to be very pro-female, which is wonderful, but ends up looking a little money-grabbing when you get to the details like the artistic RBG throw pillow on the chair that is available for the low low price of $120 if you feel especially inspired. No indication whatsoever that those funds go to any deserving women's cause or any cause whatsoever.

Hotel Zena is a trendy little hotel with a modern feel and "female power" vibe. I enjoyed the artwork throughout the property. My room had a great view of DC and the shower was in an interesting spiral enclosure. Since the resort fee they charge included a bike rental, I took advantage of it. The bed was comfortable, and the rooftop pool has great views!

I really wish they had a microwave somewhere for the guests to use. I know they are trying to sell you their food, but the selection is very small. I found this inconvenient. Also, the electric plugs on my desk did not work which was a real pain. Also, the first day I went to rent the bike, I needed to be out early in the morning, and although I checked with the front desk the night before that it would be available, when I went to rent it, the front desk lady did not seem very willing.
