My stay at the Waldorf Astoria was simply delightful. From the moment I stepped into the elegant lobby, I was treated with utmost hospitality. The room exuded a cozy and luxurious ambiance, ensuring a restful night's sleep after a day of travel. Furthermore, the hotel's central location provided easy access to local attractions and dining options, making my trip effortlessly enjoyable. I was particularly impressed with the attentive staff, who went above and beyond to cater to my needs and ensure a seamless experience. I would highly recommend the Waldorf Astoria to any traveler seeking a blend of comfort and convenience.

While I found my stay at the Waldorf Astoria to be the best in comparison to other US accommodations, I noticed a cultural difference in cleanliness standards that may be noteworthy for fellow German travelers. Although the hotel was tidy by American standards, there were minor details that did not quite meet the meticulous cleanliness we are accustomed to in Germany. However, it's essential to appreciate the varying standards globally and acknowledge the exceptional service provided by the hotel within its cultural context. I still wholeheartedly recommend the Waldorf Astoria for providing the best experience possible within their means.

This was perhaps the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in. I am wracking my brains for one I have considered as beautiful and impressive as this hotel and I cannot. The ceilings are 4m high, the rooms are large, the bathrooms have chandeliers, everyone was kind and professional... The two restaurants are amazing. The location is superb....

As always it would be nice if it cost a little less... but it's amazing. So it costs money, and we pay money for it.

Location and room

We arrived around 1 a.m. All doors were locked, and there was no one to be seen. It took us almost 20 minutes to get inside—never experienced anything like it. Install a cheap Ring doorbell or something, seriously. At the entrance, there was a steep staircase where we had to haul our luggage up. I walk with a crutch, so that was quite a challenge. The receptionist apologized and offered us some credits, and a few days later, we received a note with a small treat, which was a nice gesture. However, if you have mobility issues, that entrance with the stairs is brutal.

Perfect location. Responsive staff and friendliest front door staff! Save a cash tip for them, but they are amazing even if you forgot your cash. The Bazaar DC restaurant upstairs is amazing! Get a reservation, AND KEEP IT. You will thank me later.

Excellent service and accommodations will cost a pretty penny. The downstairs bar lounge is categorically slow and unresponsive EVERY time we have been there. (5+ stays now). We keep trying, and they keep disappointing (when busy and not busy). The historic lobby, "chill factor, and aesthetic are just stunning so we keep giving it a try if Bazaar is booked up. FYI, the bar in the lobby has NOTHING to do at all with Bazaar restaurant upstairs.

My room was spotless. The front door and front desk attendants were exceptional

The bartender provided our drinks and never returned She spent a large part of the hour talking with a waitress that seemed to have personal matters Eventually another server noted we had finished our cocktail and provided our check. We were never offered another drink , snacks or food We decided to sit in the restaurant area to complete our evening and birthday celebration I am in my 60s and am not impatient I found your hospitality is extraordinary, and one individual can change the dynamic and perception of your hotel quickly. If this occurred on the first evening of my stay I may not have rated my experience as a 10 for the most part.

The ease to get around with Uber . It’s best to just leave your car in the valet parking and go around DC in an Uber .

The breakfast from the Peacock was not great , took forever to be served and then the food came out almost cold . But the Hot chocolate drink was lovely .

When you book to stay at a luxury hotel the Waldorf in DC is what you expect. The facade, the lobby, the rooms... All best in class. Great room size with excellent furnishings. There isn't a single compliant I can register. In the heart of DC no better place to stay.

Sorry nothing I can add here...

All of the staff made us aware that they were completely available without being obtrusive. The Observatory on top was like the cherry on top 🍒 and honestly one of the best places we went on our trip! A view without rival, the interesting history, and the ride up/down ❤️
