Most important, I felt safe staying here, as a solo female traveler. Management on staff and close by 24/7. Door have modern locks Spacious clean quiet rooms with comfy beds and soft fluffy towels. I prefer these renovated motorcourts, so I can park directly in front of my room. It can be glorious in the Pacific NW and the windows in the rooms open. Theresa nice view of Mt Baker from the lobby and from courtyard. The breakfast set up in the lobby is above the normal grab and go, but no hot options. Very friendly staff, including Jayden and manager Mary. Easy walking distance to several parks, the waterfront, downtown and a couple of nice breweries and restaurants. There are cheaper options of chain hotels near the freeway, but that’s not my vibe. Good writing/computer desk with lighting and outlets. Room comes with Roku/YouTube TV. Property clean and well Maintained. And….theres a bike wash station!
WiFi was adequate,a bit slow at times. Fire pit in courtyard was off limits due to county wide burn ban, which was too bad on such nice evenings. A propane fire pit would’ve served as well and been legal

Great motel! We loved the location - there were beautiful treed streets close by for dog walking and we could walk to the downtown in 20 minutes or so. The room was very comfortable and we enjoyed sitting outside to have our coffee in the lovely green space . All rooms are dog friendly and I really appreciated this! The hotel I used to stay in had only certain rooms as dog friendly rooms. Sometimes I would book on booking.com and note that I was bringing a dog only to get there and find the room they had assigned for me was not dog friendly.

The location, the friendly and helpful staff. The very comfortable bed, the spacious room. The restoration of an old motel was done well and the reuse instead of tearing it down is very appreciated.
Bed side lighting is too bright/harsh. A dimmable bulb would improve that. The shower tile is slippery when wet and the shower curtain doesn’t fit fully creating a puddle of water on the floor. Mildew in the shower grout is starting to take hold. A kitchen towel of some sort would have been useful.

This is a cute and cozy spot. We were in town visiting a friend and this was close to her place. Love the style of this place and the vintage memorabilia. The staff was great and super helpful.
Parking can be a little snug and it’s dark/hard to see in some areas on the side of the building. The bathroom was a bit humid and may ah e had some surface mold from that. We didn’t feel unwell or anything like that but we noticed it.

The rooms were bigger than expected, really clean, and thoughtfully appointed with rooms themed after Cascade mountains. Beds were comfy and the bathroom was spacious. We booked a two room, shared bathroom suite as we were a larger family party and it worked out really well, with an additional shared mudroom area with cubbies and hooks for storage.
The location is a bit on the far side from downtown Bellingham so we drove in.

The bed was super comfy, and the staff was really wonderful. The outdoor amenities were really cute - and would be fun to partake in with kids, pals or a partner (I was sadly in town for work and didn't get a chance). The cozy and lobby were a pleasure to grab coffee in - loved the stoked fire every morning! The rooms look just like the photos - no surprises :)
The neighbours to the back of the hotel were having a moment one night (and one night only), and that was kinda loud - but nothing some earplugs couldn't solve.

The room had a very comfortable bed and clean design. I liked using a code to access the room. The location was walking distance from the downtown area which was really nice.
I didn't like the very tight parking spaces. The bathroom smelled a little moldy and had black spots on the ceiling above the shower. It looks like they could be cleaned off easily and for a 2 nights stay it was fine.

it was a cool modernized vintage motel. my room was huge. parking was assigned and just outside my door.
although it was nice to have assigned parking right outside my door, my room was literally surrounded by cars (I had room 18- Mount baker) I had a sitting room with sliding doors and there was a van parked outside it, so with the shades open I stared at a car while I worked on my computer there was no way to make coffee inside my room. (but a good excuse to walk a block down the street to a good coffee shop)

Bed was so comfortable...the room was spotless! The TV had Netflix and was clear...sound was good. The hotel receptionist was so friendly and helpful and super empathetic when she heard that we had just lost our dog due to old age. She could not have been kinder.
There was nothing we did not like.

The hotel is retro and stylish, VERY clean, with some fun touches, like a blackboard in the room where you can record discoveries during your stay. The bed is cozy and comfortable, and the grounds are beautiful. The surrounding neighborhood is charming and quiet, with many heritage homes to delight the eye. There is the lovely Elizabeth Park only a couple of blocks away. The staff are friendly and helpful.
The shower was great, but the floor felt a little slippery, so tread carefully. I felt there were too many rules for dogs, but to be fair, perhaps it’s the result of trial and error.
