Bed & pillows were comfortable so i slept well for the 3 nights despite the busy sound from the streets Staff were quite helpful when being asked for recommendations The ambience of the hotel and room was soft despite its busy surroundings Located close to some nice places of eatery and St Joseph cathedral so good to be able to walk

Water pressure for the shower was quite low hence hard to control the Hot temperature Lighting in the bathroom was a bit too dim especially when applying for make-up I booked a 'Junior suite' room but the room looks the same as an ordinary room, difference was the balcony Breakfast can be improved in terms of its quality and offerings eg should stick to what the chefs are more comfortable making

I have never rated a hotel as exceptional before, but this one really is. This boutique hotel is beautifully & tastefully decorated throughout & is conveniently situated in the old town of hanoi, with sights within walking distance. The dining room is on the 11th floor, which has panoramic views of the city- in the mornings the most amazing breakfast buffet is provided here which caters for every taste - there is also a call-order menu too at no extra charge. The service is first class & all the staff are so friendly helpful. However 2 staff members really stood out: the first was Bee on reception, who spoke fluent English & really went the extra mile ensuring that my every request was met with a smile. The second was Tracy, the tour manager, who went above & beyond to ensure that my bucket list of places to visit was completely taken care of. If your budget will stretch, I would recommend a balcony room at the front of the hotel as these are a little larger than a standard room have views of the streets below, though can be a little noisy during the daytime but I didn’t find it a problem.

Great location to explore old quarter, lots of restaurants close by with a nice gym in proximity. The staff is very nice and attentive to our needs, when we had early check out for Sa Pa, they had prepared us breakfast and coffees - excellent service beyond our expectations, such as constantly opening the door for us when arriving or leaving the hotel. Despite the room being small (like everywhere in Hanoi old quarter for that matter), the beds were very fluffy and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with a great variety to please everyone’s taste. Definitively a very good value for the price. I recommend strongly staying at Peridot Gallery Classic Hotel for your next stay in Hanoi ! Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to check out the rooftop, but i’m sure it’s also great.

Fantastic welcome from a very hectic Hanoi. I arrived super early from a 11 hour flight and was able to sit on the roof terrace with a fresh coffee overlooking Hanoi. Staff were faultless - from the porter to the receptionist - kind, helpful, and interested. Room was clean, tidy and spacious. Breakfast options were fab - I had a bowl of pho but lots of western options available. Would definitely stay again. I had a flight recovery massage at the sister hotel which was also fantatsic.

The pool was a bit smaller than the pictures suggested.

I was blown away by my experience at the Peridot Classic. The location was perfect - I kept finding myself exactly where I wanted to be, it was easy to drop my things off midday because it was a convenient location. The staff was excellent and so helpful and kind, and their care felt personalized. The breakfast buffet was delicious and open during enough hours. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was clean and private.

The pool was a little disappointing, as it was mostly a large hottub. I got the photos confused with the Peridot Grand, which is very close. I think this is because some of the reviews have the photos mixed up.

We had a wonderful stay as a couple at this hotel, booking the ‘King Room with Balcony.’ The room was exceptionally clean and featured a spacious glass shower in the bathroom with instant hot water. The bed was enormous and extremely comfortable, with extra pillows provided in the wardrobe. The room also included a small balcony and a seating area, complete with a sofa, desk, and TV. The rooftop featured a large hot tub and a seating area, with an additional seating space on the very top level of the hotel. Just below this was the bar. It’s worth noting that these top three floors are only accessible by stairs, as the lift stops at floor 11(?) the restaurant. The staff were incredibly attentive and welcoming throughout our stay. Breakfast, which was included, offered a nice selection of Western options, with eggs cooked to order. The bar and restaurant had the charm of a 1920s old-world hotel, with matching décor and a fitting ambient soundtrack. The hotel felt very safety-conscious, with a doorman and receptionist always on duty. Additionally, personal breathing masks and torches were provided in the wardrobe in case of fire. For the level of service and quality of accommodation, the value for money far exceeds what you would find in comparable Western hotels.

Only a very minor this is that in our bathroom the towels are stored above the toilet, there are hooks on the back of the door for after use.

The review system is rather dysfunctional in Hanoi, with the reviews seemingly being to support the hotel providers rather than the consumer. There is high pressure to provide top reviews rather than honest ones to help consumers choose. That said, this hotel goes beyond the system and really is an elegant, charming residence with outstanding staff, attractive design, good breakfast and an appropriate price-to-service ratio. I stayed in 6 different hotels during my trip to Vietnam and this was one of my favourites. If I find myself in Hanoi again, I will stay here. Recommended!

Loved this hotel, the decor was beautiful with great attention to detail. The location was excellent, very close walk to major landmarks and beautiful old town. Staff could not have been better, very attentive and friendly. Breakfast included was very tasty with lots of options. Especially liked the vegetable omelette. We loved the rooftop and jacuzzi, beautiful views and a great addition to the hotel. Beds were extremely comfortable

Would be great if Netflix could be added to TV in rooms. Room was on the smaller side. (Understand this is typical to capital cities)

From the moment the door was opened by staff and we were given our drink and hand towels I knew we were in for a treat. Amazing hotel close to everything in Old Quarter, walking distance to lake and shopping areas. The staff went above and beyond for our family. They were so kind and willing/wanting to help/serve us in whatever was they could. We were travelling with our sons who have autism (mentioned this in case other fellow travellers who have sensory consideration) and they ensured a quiet room. Buffet breakfast on the top floor was sensational with a wide range of vietnamese and western foods. The chef cooks for you from the main menu also. Heated spa on the rooftop with bar was stunning. I am very picky so take this feedback in confidence that we would highly recommend. Cannot thank the staff enough for helping make our first Vietnam stop/hotel so memorable.
