This is easily the best hotel I've stayed in the whole of Asia. Rose (should be the owner) is the most kind, most generous and most responsive host I've ever encountered in my 30 years of travel. She literally ensures everything is on time and right for you as her guest. I am most impressed. Her staff, Anna is another great host. Her concern for your well being there is genuine. These 2 are responsible and super duper helpful in all kinds of way. They literally make our stay there most enjoyable. The hotel itself is beautiful and charming, rooms were big and beautiful. Aircon was cold, shower facilities all working well. Balcony was also spacious and had great views to see the ongoing Vietnamese lifestyle. Thrilled. Location was perfect, smack in the middle of the old quarters with food everywhere and all sorts. There was a blackout in my kids rooms on the 2nd night and they immediately switched them to another room without delay. Most impressed. This is a hotel that is definitely worth staying in, either for the place, location, breakfast or people. Especially the people. They can make or break your day. These folks made our day and I am just glad we decided on the Hanoi CHIC Boutique hotel. Go ahead and book.

Nothing at all, absolutely. Everything was perfect. Superb place to stay. They epitomises the word Service.

The location of the hotel was great, in the heart of the old quarter with easy walkable access to lots of good attractions/bars/restaurants. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and offered laundry service which was very reasonable and completed very professionally!

The breakfast was a bit basic, and the restaurant was very small - we often had to share tables and I expect some guests would need to wait to eat if the room was full - there wasn’t enough room for all guests at the same time. The hotel was also quite noisy, I think some renovation of rooms was ongoing as we were staying and this was clearly audible from our room at certain parts of the day. Could do with a bit of a modernisation overall.

Staff was very friendly (almost too friendly) and very useful. I was able to book other services with them, such as pickup / drop from airport as well as some day-trips. They allowed use of a restroom and A/C to freshen up upon arriving and before leaving despite being before check-in/after check-out time. They also sold local SIM cards and made sure they worked on my phone. The person in charge was Anna and I am very happy with her.

They sometimes pressure you to book too many things with them, but that's normal culture in Vietnam, where everyone is trying to sell you something and you have to firmly say no. But they are very polite and gentle about it, so I don't have any issues with that, just an FYI for people who are not used to the culture.

The staffs were amazing Ann , Rose & David , the hotel was located near to weekend night market and very near to train street and many other places. For Indians there is a restaurant called Raza behind the hotel which serves North Indian food and Annam restaurant little away which serves South Indian food . Also tadka which near train street serves North Indian food . All these restaurants are near to chich boutique But the breakfast is not friendly for Indians so make sure u book without breakfast. You should stay here because the staffs provide an amazing service and are extremely helpful and friendly.

The staff were exceptional and excellent.. must commend Ann & Rose for their fabulous service. We were made to feel a warm welcome from the very start. They were were helpful and gave us detailed information on nearly attractions and also day trips to Halong Bay. They also provided us with maps. They were swift to resolve issues with our room as well. Big thanks to the staff.

The room was very small and a bit shabby. The AC was broken and we had to change room. Staff were super helpful. Second room had a funny smell. There were no windows in the room which was not really highlighted in the booking page. Breakfast area was small and breakfast options were limited. Only the location and the staff were the positives of the hotel.

Staff: The hotel staff, including Ann and Waski (apologies if misspelled), are exceptionally friendly, helpful, and attentive. They demonstrate extensive knowledge and willingly provide suggestions on attractions, restaurants, and transportation options upon guests' arrival. The hotel offers a comfortable and enjoyable stay for guests. The staff's exceptional service contributes to a pleasant experience throughout the stay. If you are interested, they also offer various day tours, including the Halong Bay Cruise, Sapa tour, etc. These tours provide detailed information and address any doubts you may have before making your decision on which one to join. Location: The hotel is ideally located in the heart of the old quarter, just a 25-minute walk from Bus Stop No.86 (Long Bien). Additionally, it provides convenient access to the weekend night markets and other attractions in the area, all within 5 - 20 minutes walking distance. Room: The room is satisfactory and equipped with essential amenities such as a kettle, hairdryer, toiletries, and hangers. It is a standard hotel room without a view.

Breakfast is served daily on the top floor (6/F), starting from 6:30 am. While the food variety is slightly limited, you have the option to order main dishes from the provided menu, such as omelettes, pho, pancakes, etc. The remaining options are available in a buffet style. However, the dining area is relatively small, which means you may not have the opportunity to enjoy your breakfast at your own pace. If you see other guests waiting for seats, you leave promptly for the next as soon as you finish.

Our rooms were great, quite large and spacious, with nice details. The balconies were cute, and we could see over the street which was enjoyable. Breakfast had nice choices, all the cooked breakfasts were fabulous! We think they made the best omelettes. The location was great, right in the heart of the Old Quarter and plenty of places to eat near by. Anna was very helpful with organising everything and anything we needed, and she booked our train from Ninh Binh to Hue without any problems. Anna also offered her help at any point during our month long trip around Vietnam, which was very lovely and comforting.

While showering the hot water ran out quickly.

There are a lot of small hotels in the Old Quarter of Hanoi and I spent a lot of time deciding which one to pick. In the end I'm really glad I picked this one because of the staff. Anna was absolutely great ! She helped me pick the tours, advised me as to which ones are the best value for money and was generally over the top helpful. A lot of rooms in Hanoi don't have windows, so I made sure I picked one that had natural light to try and get over the jetlag and into the rhythm. The bed was huge and comfy and the rooms was nicely decorated. The hotel is on one of the quieter streets in the old town. However, don't expect to be shielded completely from the traffic noise. The honking stops at night but picks up early morning where it left off. Breakfast is freshly made on the spot and you have quite a few options to chose from, but don't expect anything fancy.

Most hotels in the old quarter have thin walls so it can get noisy during the day. I'm a light sleeper and had to use earplugs. It's pretty quiet at night but the traffic starts very early morning. So if you really can't sleep and don't mind staying further away from the action, i would recommend hotels outside the old quarter. The bathroom maybe needed some renovating, but other than that had everything necessary.

The hotel staff was great, they are great guys, all the difficulties were solved by them successfully. I would like to separately note the breakfast, it was cooked to order and it was excellent, not all hotels have this, plus the staff at breakfast were very positive.

The minus of the hotel is its condition - hot air came in through the window (the window is on the air conditioners, heating the air at the exit, a very strange solution). And the most important thing - if you wake up later than 6:30-7:00 hours, then you will not be able to sleep, because there is no soundproofing in the corridors, we lived on the floor under the restaurant and there every day from 6:00 they threw dishes or furniture on the floor loudly, this is a significant minus for those who would like to live according to their own schedule (if not for this, I would not go to breakfast and live a happy life) ...

The hotel staff went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. From their warm and friendly demeanor to their utmost professionalism, every interaction was a delight. The room was impeccably clean and the spacious layout was just perfect. We stayed on the top floor, and our room was located opposite the hotel restaurant where we had our breakfast. It was easily accessible, and the service was great.

We're located on the top floor, and unfortunately, the noise from the lift is affecting our sleep as we are quite sensitive to noise. Upon contacting the staff for assistance, we were impressed by their professionalism and their willingness to accommodate us with available options.
