The room was big, clean and comfortable with all the amenities one would expect of a 5 star hotel. Location is fantastic, on a quiet street, walking distance to all the main sights and landmarks.

Quite pretentious. Also, when I was checking out I was not allowed to leave the hotel until my room had been checked - in all the hotels I have stayed in this was a first! I had a room only booking and was not allowed to add on breakfast at check in, I was told to deal directly with the restaurant. I could not keep a card on file for charges. I ordered room service which could not be added to the room so I had to pay when the meal was delivered. I would have preferred to have my card on file and charge room service or if there were any issues with the room to the card. A shame to leave a beautiful hotel feeling like I was not valued and could not be trusted, and as a result unlikely I would return or recommend.

An unbelievable experience. From check-in to check-out every moment was catered for. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Rooms were spotless, pool and spa was sensational and food was delicious. I highly recommend the breakfast, the buffet selection was worldclass with everything from handmade sushi to french patisserie. The housekeeping were also wonderful, offering late night cookies and keeping the minibar and amenities stocked. Thank you everyone at Mai House.

Nothing, it exceeded my expectations tenfold.

A beautiful hotel in an ideal location for exploring the main sites of Ho Chi Minh on foot. The staff were very helpful and provided lots of useful information, both prior to and during our stay. The property is spotlessly clean throughout with lovely facilities. There is an extensive and high quality buffet breakfast and the spa was wonderful and very good value, especially as there was a promotion on during our stay. The free taxi from the airport was also a nice touch.

Nothing really, but a couple minor points could easily be addressed. The hot drink service at breakfast was a little slow, and whilst very lovely, the Club Lounge's food and drink choices were a bit limited, especially during the afternoon, when only biscuits were available. A nice slice of cake or a couple of light bites would have been good rather than just the small jar of cookies.

Fabulous stay! From the minute I arrived the staff made me feel like I didn’t have to worry about a thing. Took my cases immediately to be delivered to my room and check in was fast and easy. The room was luxurious and bed comfortable, especially the bathroom. I didn’t have breakfast but did order room service several times and it was very tasty. The pool area was relaxing although bar staff were a little slow, but very hospitable. It’s slightly outside the main centre but around a 20-30 minute walk to the main attractions. Grab taxis are extremely cheap so it wasn’t a problem. The decor was stunning, the lobby really felt like an extremely high-end hotel. Compared to the price of 5* hotels in Europe this felt like a bargain. I wouldn’t normally repeat hotels but I couldn’t see myself staying anywhere else in Ho Chi Minh on return.

This is a good comfortable city centre hotel with excellent facilities. We enjoyed the swimming pool and the rooftop Mai bar is a lovely place to spend an evening with great city views. Breakfasts were good. It’s a calm oasis in a very humid busy city. Some good local restaurants within walking distance. Also an easy walk to major city attractions like the War Remnants Museum and Independence Palace within walking and others being only a short taxi ride away.

The bedroom air conditioning is fierce and we couldn’t find a way of controlling the temperature. Bizarrely despite the coldness our room failed to air properly so that our clothes sodden wet from walking in high humidity remained dampish throughout our stay. Our bedroom always felt clammy but overall this was a very good hotel stay.

Beautiful hotel, very efficient and friendly staff, and good food = great value for money. We highly recommend to take the Club option, a beautiful salon where you can hang around drinking tea all day long and drinks after 5h30 pm. The Club team was the most professional and kind, especially the very knowledgeable Kevin. The hotel is also in a great location, at walking distance of the main tourist sites (although frankly there is little of interest for tourists in Ho Chi Ming). Everything in the room is top quality. Great pressing service also.

The spa. We went twice to have some of the packages explained to us but nobody spoke English, which frankly is weak considering that only tourists go to the spa. At one point, they call a colleague from the bar for translation!. We gave up and when shopping.

The lobby of the hotel is gorgeous, the room is lovely, good choice at breakfast. Despite the impression that the building is huge, once you exist within the hotel you have an impression it is quite small and private. It is not high end 5-star, but the quality is definitely there. The area around is nice: although it is not exact city center, but there’s a lot of good bars and restaurants around. Special thanks to the administration for the attention to my daughter’s birthday.

The receptionist in a 5-star hotel could speak a better English (especially that the guys who deal with luggage and taxi they do speak good English). The room is absolutely lovely (100% corresponds to photos), but storage is very limited in case you prefer not to keep you things in the suitcase.

The property is stunning from the minute you walk in you feel like you are somewhere really special and it is so relaxing in the lobby listening to the pianist and people watching. The sky bar is a brilliant place to have drinks and look out at the skyline. The pool area is a lovely place to relax after a trip. The rooms are beautifully designed.The food is lovely with so much choice.

It wasn’t t in the best area and we had to walk or take taxis. the staff in the restaurant were not as good at understanding as at other hotels in Vietnam they found it hard to communicate and got lots of thing’s wrong and could come across rude. For instance we were eating our dinner and during our meal the manager asked how we were going to pay bearing in mind we weee residents and they had our credit card details and it’s a strange thing to ask as your eating your meal. The toiletries could have been better but I’m being picky because we’ve stayed in so many amazing hotels within our 3 weeks trip of Vietnam.

Best hotel experience in Saigon!! We stayed in a more expensive 5 star hotel when we first arrived in Saigon … but that was a mistake, as this was a much more impressive hotel. Although the hotel had a nice ‘colonial’ feel, it was also more modern and very tastefully decorated. A very spacious room with a stunning bathroom and a so comfortable bed! The hotel staff were exceptional, with the concierge team going out of their way to make sure we were being well looked after. And so friendly and helpful. … and fantastic cocktails in the sky bar was just the perfect way to end a tiring, exhausting and fun day in Saigon!

Nothing … other than we should have booked to stay there when we first arrived!
