The hotel has a very unique design across the board and bedrooms in particular have been thoughtfully designed with a keen eye for detail and a careful use of space and interesting furniture. There is a jacuzzi in the balcony as well and a mini bar included in the price. The bed is extremely comfortable and huge. The rooms are kept very clean!!! I loved that they provide filtered water in glass bottles and you can get as many as you need. They do seem to be making an effort towards the environment. The location worked very well for me- convenient to walk to all the main sites in HCM city, and also be picked up for a tour. Many great places to eat just a few mins walk away. I managed to secure what was apparently a discounted price on booking.com and even then going by the general prices I was paying for accommodation in other parts of Vietnam was significantly cheaper. However, I don’t think it’s possible to compare as what this hotel offers is very different. The roof top bar is worth a visit too- cocktails are made without skimping on the alcohol. The staff are welcoming and helpful.

I didn’t have breakfast or any meals at the hotel so I cannot comment about the food.

We decided on a little bit of luxury after 5 weeks in Viet Nam. The Myst offered rooms with balconies and a mixture of modern and traditional decor. The rooftop pool is a great place to relax during the heat of the day. High tea is a daily ritual not to be missed.

Rooms - More exactly the fact there are no proper hangers for towels.. Especially for hand and face towels.. The hanger on the bathroom door is very poor and because of it our towels were always falling on the floor. The rooms are pretty smalll, if we wouldn't do an upgrade the view of the room would have been awful, more exactly you could see a big wall in front of you and nothing else. The noise in the room .. You could hear everything from outside.. Especially the traffic noise. Breakfast - Generally good breakfast but there was always a problem in communication. I want to hard boiled eggs - I was getting soft eggs I want two hot Vietnamese white coffee - I was getting iced coffee

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Myst Dong Khoi in Ho Chi Minh City, and I have to say, it exceeded my expectations in nearly every way. The standout feature of this hotel is undoubtedly its Indochina-inspired decor. From the moment you step into the lobby, you're transported to a different era, with a seamless blend of vintage traditional Vietnamese elements. The rich colors, intricate woodwork, and thoughtful design details truly set the tone for an unforgettable experience. The service was also exceptional, with one staff member in particular, Nhi, making a lasting impression. Nhi went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was as comfortable as possible. Whether offering restaurant recommendations or assisting with local directions, her warmth and attentiveness made us feel genuinely cared for. Overall, Myst Dong Khoi is a beautiful hotel with top-notch service and an ambiance that truly immerses you in the history and culture of the region. I’d highly recommend it, especially if you appreciate design with a story and excellent hospitality.

However, there was a slight hiccup upon arrival: the bidet in our room had a broken seat. It wasn’t a major issue, but it was a small inconvenience that we hadn’t expected. Thankfully, it didn’t take away from our overall experience.

Great boutique hotel with a great location and decor. Very friendly staff for check in, with drinks and snacks on arrival. Awesome rooftop pool and bar (bit funky to get to, but hey that's boutique for you). Great range of food for buffet breakfast. Close to apartment cafes and great shopping areas. 10min walk to Saigon Mall. Free minibar (but only drinks and fruit, excluding alcohol.

Definitely on the older side, with some cracks in bathroom walls and balcony spa bath. They tried to say room deposit was 2million dong when my booking on here said 1million for deposit (didn't have 2million in cash due to this). They were hesitant but did 1million, just need booking clarity. I went to eat at the rooftop restaurant, they sat me down and then no one came to take my order they just ignored me for 10min so I left, such a shame.

Location is amazing, nice & creative boutique hotel that feels like a fresh breeze in the busy District 1 area. Great breakfast.

Avoid rooms on the 14th floor (incl. the suite which we had booked), because it is very loud even during weekdays (the rooftop bar and pool is on the 15th floor). There is constant noise incl. pool water swishing around, and tables and chairs being moved late into the night, plus constant noises from staff using the metal stairs outside. So better opt for a cheaper room category, the suites seem to be a waste of money because you won’t sleep well.

The location is fantastic in an upper market area of HCMC. The staff are extremely attentive and there is plenty of them. The view was nice from the 14th floor. The bed was comfortable and room amenties nice. The roof top swimming pool was amazing.

The aircon should of been on before arrival as it was hard to cool the room and we arrived late at night, I feel this would of felt more welcoming than the hot and stuffy room. Once the cooling had a chance to work the room was very cold. I personally didn’t like that smoking was allowed at the rooftop pool inside and outside. I know this is a cultural thing, but I struggled with the smell inside the bar/restaurant on the top floor. Was very glad Is was only allowed in that location.

A very central and wonderfully decorated human-sized hotel offering all the amenities one can ask for for a city break. The pool area and small bar are gorgeous and we cannot forget the buffet breakfast. The food and drink manager is the loveliest staff ever and even wrote down some tips as to what spots we should visit in town. The room was beautiful and the jacuzzi bath fantastic for relaxing. Our laundry was also perfectly managed by the front of house staff and items were returned in top state by following our instructions. We wish we could come back soon !

Nothing much really. It was near perfect :) Only perhaps the lovely gigantic beds were on the softer sides with an over mattress that may not have been needed.

The whole pool area was booked out for one afternoon for a private function. When we complained about it the staff did their best to try and make up for it, but it was very disappointing that the hotel would even think about locking their paying guests out of the pool for a private function. The staff handled things rather well under the circumstances and did their best to help…but what was surprising was that they didn’t seem to realise there was a private function until we told them. I felt that this was not good enough, especially for the price.

Hotel stuff and location make this hotel outstanding. My son turned 16 during our stay and they got a cake and a candle for him. They made sure we are back from our tour to give him the cake. Hotel is really unique. The design, architecture and materials it was made from makes it very interesting and beautiful, specially roof top bar, pool area and the lobby. Breakfast was awesome ( we stayed in 5 different hotels during our stay, all 5-4 stars and every time breakfast buffet was just amazing)

The only thing I didn’t like was the room layout. There was no separate washroom/ bathroom space. Toilet and shower were but sink was in the open space between. There was no privacy to change or even dry after shower. That is no problem if you share the room with your partner but it is problematic if you share the room with your teenage son. But the room was spacious and the bed was comfortable.
