Super friendly hosts Gabriela and her family who runs the hotel was the highlight for us. Climb up to Guva mangalem is not too bad thought its the last hotel on top. Me my wife and 2 little kids managed it easily. The hotel is character-some, nice decorated and the views from the terrace is awesome of Berat. Rooftop terrace has service for food and drinks, great place to spend the evening. We loved the stay here. Special mention goes to Gabriela who made us feel so welcome. She even trekked up the hill with me when I managed to get my mini drone stuck in a tree on the hill beside the terrace. :) Highly recommend Gabriela's hotel Guva Mangalem.

Fabulous views of a beautiful city. Situated perfectly amongst restaurants (Lili, right next door, is an exceptional not to be missed dining experience) and above the main avenue. The hostess works around the clock to assure that guests get everything that they need. She deserves a medal

Be aware that if you are walking up from the main avenue (there is no way to drive) especially with suitcases. the climb can be difficult

It was a great pleasure for us to spend some nights in this very beautiful historic hotel. You can really feel with how much love the owners of the hotel have furnished and maintain their hotel. It's a must to spend some time there if you are in Berat! We can also recommend the restaurant - especially the restaurant terrace with the view over the valley! Brilliant!

Fantastic restaurant and view of the city.

Hotel is on the top of the hill, so have this in mind if travelling with lots of luggage (that was my case). Also, my room had 2 glass windows on the roof that cannot be covered so from 5am sunlight just lit up our whole room.

The hotel is the highest spot hotel on the hill, so one has the old town in the palm of its hand. The hotel is very cozy, landlord nice and views fabulous.

Parking of the car may be little bit tricky since the main road is full of parked cars. Also carrying all the big bags up to the hotel was quite bodybuilding.

From the terrace you had a really great view over the city. The owner was so friendly, offered us cold water every day and asked multiple times if we needed anything. The breakfast was also delicious, especially the omelett, homecooked and fresh from the pan! Very reccomendable!

We have seen from the other side of the river a beautiful spot at the top of the hill and we decided to stay there for the night ! Everything was just perfect... we slept with a great view in a good bed (a bit short for my 2 meters though) but everything magical ... we had a nice good simple dinner with an amazing view and also an amazing wine from the hood !! Our body was really nice and we had an amazing breakfast the next day!

- the bathroom was very small - it’s a bit of a hike to get up to the hotel and the path is under construction (not the hotel’s fault)

marvellous location for excellent view, having a drink on the terrace is the best experience at Berat. Also in house restaurant is excellent, one good thing is after nice dinner, you don’t need to climb the steps back to the room.

We've arrived in Berat,we didn't know that the hotel it was upstairs 😳, we was worried for the luggage but they arranged everything for our arrival. The room was beautiful and clean but the best part of our staying it was the view and the food. Splendid view ,splendid food 😍.Homemade,amazing. The owners absolutely the best 100%.The recommendations and indications that they gives us count a lot for a better experience in Berat. We loved to be in Berat but that's thank to the owners from Guva. Thank you so much guys!!!See you next year!
