Hotel Berati is incredible value for money, located very close to everything worth seeing in Berat. The interior is gorgeous with a traditional design and the rooms have that rustic traditional vibe while also being spotless. The rooms are spacious, and I had a large private balcony looking out toward the mosque and orthodox church. Breakfast was basic but varied with enough fuel to do a lot of walking around the city. The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful whenever I had questions; her level of English was high.

The toilet would occasionally run at night, which could be annoying if you don't have earplugs (I did). The traffic noise can be loud outside the hotel, but that is beyond their control. It did not offset the positives for me.

Basic but comfortable room, soft mattress, decent bathroom, great balcony. Good location. Recommend.

Close to main street so can be noisy in early night, gets quieter later at night. Shower curtain not effective at keeping the water inside, makes a mess. Front desk a bit disorganised about bookings and other matters, patience solves everything. Breakfast, although a varied spread, doesn't feel worth the money (costs 30% of a night's stay). Nearest laundry place not so close.

The rooms are so cute and we'll decorated. Everything was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They let us drop our bags early and when we had an early check out the next day, they prepared a breakfast package for us to take on the road. Very kind! The location is great making walking all around the city easy and enjoyable. It is quiet despite being so central and every detail has been thought about. Highly recommend!

The hotel is good value in Berat. It is located just outside of the old town with the castle, restaurants, shops, etc. all close to the hotel. The optional breakfast was very good. The room was simple, but the a/c worked and as noted it is more than adequate given the reasonable cost. I would recommend it as a budget option.

Quite near to the local bus stop and sights, quite a few restaurants and shops nearby. I had a room with a balcony overlooking the street/entrance. It was quite during the night. The room and toilet were neat and clean. Bathroom slippers were provided. When I reached my room wasn't ready and they kept my bag while I went sightseeing.

I had a great stay here. The owner is very friendly. And the location is perfect for me since I'm very lazy, hate slope and stairs. Just easy walk to all the attractions, restaurants, bus stop, supermarket. I paid such less money but it's 5 stars enjoyment. Definitely will come back again.

It would be wonderful to have shower curtain for international tourist.

Amazing location in the middle of the national park. The owner is super kind and nice. Meals are served from local products, everything is fresh and homemade. The house and its decorations are quite traditional and do make you feel like you are staying in the house of a typical albanian family.

One of the shared bathrooms was a small one with no separation between shower and toilet area.

I stayed in Hotel Berati only for 1 night. The location was right in the center of Berat, close to everything. The hotel has beautiful stone features and the rooms are very spacious, comfortable, and clean. Excellent wifi and room has air conditioning, which is such a relief after walking around Berat under the July summer heat. Breakfast came with the room booking but unfortunately, I left too early so I wasn't able to try it. But I always appreciate when breakfast is included as it helps for an easier start to the day. The staff is also very friendly & helpful. The night staff didn't speak English well so he called his colleague, who checked me in in the morning, to help me figure out bus schedules. Overall, I had a great stay & I would've enjoyed staying longer at this hotel.

Authentic ambiance, helpful staff, wonderful breakfast, convenient parking. Even though a short stay, and would have loved to absorb more of the local culture, I really enjoyed the common areas with the typical seating arrangements, carpets and art work.

If I have to look for improvements then perhaps a pair of slippers would have been nice.

Excellent customer service. Breakfast was delicious. Food was good and the table was beautifully set. Attention was paid to details. Location was extraordinary. The balcony had a view of the city. Rooms decor was also beautiful. Lobby was uniquely decorated.

Shower had weak pressure. High window had to stay opened.
