Loved the fact this is a new family run gorgeous boutique hotel. It is located just outside of the main section of Berat old town. It’s the other side of the river near the first footbridge which enables the feel of a lord authentic vibe to prosper as well as being away from all the noise and tourist traffic! Beautiful hotel with lovely bathroom facilities

We loved everything!

The stay at Kapllani was excellent.one could probably not beat the location. We were renting a vehicle and access to the public parking (50 meters from the accommodation was convenient and leaving and returning was excellent. The hotel was spotless, it was loaded with character and above all, the staff were excellent. Klea was wonderful and assisted us in finding a winery to visit and a shoe repair as well. Her smile was worth the stay. I’d be remiss in not mentioning Klea’s Dad and Uncle as well as her cousin. We spent an evening exchanging stories and laughs even though we had to rely on Klea’s cousin for translation. We spent 6 great days in Berat and in our exploring, did not find a place that we would have preferred over Kapllani. Breakfasts were good and the traditional Albanian meals were great. Thanks Klea and staff. You made us feel at home in Albania.

Hotel Kapllani is an excellent and good value choice in Berat. The hotel is nicely decorated and has a lovely location right on the river. The balcony for an evening drink or meal is wonderful. However, it was the service that took this property to another level. Not only did Klea's husband give us a ride to the bus station first thing in the morning, but when we discovered that the direct bus to our next location had already left, he sped down the highway to catch up with the bus so that we could catch it outside of town. Amazing customer service that put us in a great mood for the rest of the day!

We changed hotel in the last minute, and we didnt regret it for a second. We arrived to Berat in the evening, in rain and thunderstorms and it was just soooo nice to arrive to this beautiful, cozy, warm place. The owner lady welcomed us with a free room upgrade. Although the restaurant was busy with guests we got a table and enjoyed a very nice dinner. There is also a nice cocktails bar next to the hotel, where we had a drink afterwards on the roofed terrace watching the last drops of the rain. Berat is fantastic city, we woke up the next day to sunshine, the hotel balcony has som incredible views of the city. The breakfast was very tasty, I personally loved the homemade fig jam. We would love to return.

Great location, walking distance to all the sightseeing places (uphill walking to the castle). Clean towels every day, spacious room with the bend roof (but still knocking our head too many times to the beams). When asked to fix the shower, it was done immediately. When asked for other things, they were helpful all the time. Beds slept good, dark room, we did use ear plugs just in case for all nights so cannot say anything about noice.

Breakfast was served without asking what you wanted. There was no fruit served either. Same jam every day also.

Great hotel located close to the old bridge and a short walk to the old town. Built in stone, with loads of traditional detailing makes the building really charming. Parking was fantastic no space issues even in June when other places were busy. The rooftop is a great place to have food (we did not eat in) and drinks. The staff were lovely making you feel at home as soon as you arrive! Good breakfast. would thoroughly recommend it. EXCELLENT value for money

Our key was a bit tricky and once in the room the bathroom window was straight onto the side path but I never saw anyone walk past. really minor things to be honest it would not stop me staying again.

Very nice hotel located close to the old bridge and a short walk to old town. The hotel has this "medieval" charm, built in stone, with detailed ceiling - it was adorable! It is close to a public parking place, so parking was easy (in June). The bedroom is comfortable. The hotel has a restaurant in the roof top that was both lovely, overlooking the bridge, and delicious! Good breakfast - but it was not a buffet style, there was a selection of food and drinks that were brought to your table.

The bathroom could be bigger. The hotel only has 2 floors (and we stayed on the 2nd floor), but I am guessing the ground floor rooms might be a bit noisier, due to the reception and eating area close by.

The atmosphere was fantastic, every staff member so polite and helpful. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Great location to walk the town. The terrace restaurant was beautiful, the food was traditional Albanian and so tasty we didn’t need to search any further. The breakfast plentiful and tasty, good coffee to start the day. The bar next door was a great spot in the afternoon to have a refreshing drink. We cat fault this experience, we would definitely return. 😊😊 Thanks Klee and family.

Friendly reception on arrival, we dropped our cases at the hotel and were directed to a secure car park about 100m away. We had the castle view room. This is a bit of a misnomer; it wasn't really visible without some effort and the room was quite dark because of wooden shutters. That said, the room was fitted out with quality furnishings and for the price paid was remarkable value. Bathroom similarly well fitted out with great shower. Breakfast was good. We had omelette with tomato, cucumber, bread jam juice and water. Lunch and dinner here also very good.

No fresh fruit or hot drinks offered at breakfast but they do provide a drink if asked.

Gorgeous hotel. Perfect location - 5 minutes walk from the centre, on the river side. Friendly, helpful staff. Spacious room, comfortable bed. Powerful shower, all mod cons thought of.

No lift in the building and 3 floors. Staff helped with our luggage on check in, we carried either end of the bag on check out! Breakfast could be more accommodating, given the bus timetables. The bus was at 8am (one of only 2 the entire day to Saranda) and breakfast started at 8am. Staff were helpful and allowed early check out but we had to ask twice for a packed breakfast, it was agreed on check in then forgotten in the morning. As a positive criticism, it would benefit the hotel to offer packed breakfasts as standard, or allow to book the room without the breakfast included.
