This is the first accommodation that provides me a pillow that I can shape to support my neck comfortably. The firmness of the bed is just as I would have like it. The bathroom sink is big enough for me to fill the kettle, the vanity cupboard has ample space for me to put my own toiletries, the position of the toilet rolls is not at an awkward position (not all motels are so attentive to the needs of the customer and that gets my goat). The heater is working well and is quiet. The whole place is clean. I love everything about this motel except for certain things.

The fridge is making some noise and I have to unplug the fridge to get a good night sleep. The trucks were speeding by throughout the early morning of the weekdays. I would still book this motel but I will bring my ear plugs along.

This place has an old school motel, it has the basics, and everything you need for a couple of nights. The kids loved jumping on the bed, our room had a small fridge, microwave, air conditioning and a TV. Easy entry, parking and exit, even a little spot to relax. We walked to the IGA, pub and cafes, and there are two petrol stations in town and it’s only 14 minutes to Katoomba. Would we stay there again, the wife says yes, so yes I would 😁👍

No negatives, it’s a motel, provings a good service in a good location.

Friendly obliging staff, comfortable bed, good heating system. I appreciated having a guest's kitchen nearby. It was conveniently sited for eating places, shops and public transport. Even with no private transport I was still able to access some excellent hiking trails nearby.

The outdoor seating areas connected to the rooms weren't sited to get sunshine during the day, but that was probably a seasonal issue. Being close to a busy road and hearing noisy night guests socialising didnt bother me but it might for a light sleeper.

This is an older motel but they have updated the bathroom etc and everything was so clean and fresh! great value for money for a family and within walking distance of parks, cafes, groceries. The cleaners knocked on our door the second day we were there and asked if we needed any fresh towels or anything which was very appreciated and I noticed they air the rooms out after people leave and they have thoroughly cleaned.

Honestly can't fault it for a motel.

I loved having a toaster and the tea and coffee making facilities plus microwave. The room was very clean. Loved the outdoor BBQ area, although this wasn't used.

The TV could have come with better instructions - also the antenna was not attached to the TV so I wasn't sure if I should have plugged this in or not so a lot of mucking around at first but got there in the end. Bathroom windows dirty.

Nice quiet room with fully renovated bathroom. Location of the motel is great for a family as you are going to be a walking distance from several playgrounds, IGA, town centre with coffee shops, bakeries and takeaway places. The owners of the motel are happy to help out plan itinerary. They even prepared the list of 90 reasons to visit and come back to Blackheath and Blue Mountains which we found very helpful.

Rooms were clean and well equipped. Staff were friendly and helpful Nice hot water in shower comfortable bed.

The rooms are SO small and I felt cramped There wasn't adequate parking because some rooms didn't have designated parking spots. Also other large cars parked us in as we were in a corner room.

The rooms are not big and two people with two big bags would be tight. It is a great place to crash for a night or two but if you are staying in the mountains for a number of days then you might want somewhere with a bigger room. It is great value for the price. Staff were super friendly and the rooms very clean with good amenities. Bathrooms and shower were both clean and good. I would stay again.

Rooms are a little small but still good value for money. Most important feature of a clean and comfortable bed and good bathroom offsetting small room. Room size less of an issue if it hadn't been raining during the whole stay.

I was sceptical about staying at a motel however, High Mountains Motor Inn exceeded my expectations. It was cozy, clean and had everything I needed (iron, kettle, fridge, etc). I was pleasantly surprised when I saw they had electric blankets - perfect for the weather we had. It was great for the overnight stay we needed.

We all loved the motel. The people were friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and stylish with modern decor in an older building. Very modern bathroom. Everything they could think of was done. It was obvious at every turn they had thought of the guests comfort. Nothing had been overlooked. I could write pages of all the thoughtful details but suffice it to say we were blown away with the value and will definitely return. Thanks for a great stay!
