The room was very comfortable and the reverse cycle heating worked well. The en-suite was adequate and the hot water in the shower was excellent. The kitchen was well equipped and the lounge room was very comfortable. We would definitely stay again.

The room was small but would have been fine if there had been a couple of shelves for clothes and a few hooks to hang some up. Living out of a port in a small room is not convenient. I suggested some hooks to the management who seemed to like the idea.

Good location, sufficient for what we need, a bed to have good sleep & a nice shower after 3 days of long travels from Perth. Good staff, super helpful and good value for money

It’s not the hotel’s fault as they cannot control what guest does, but they’re kids running around screaming when you are trying to get a good a good nights sleep it is quite difficult especially when we had another 12 hrs of drive ahead of us

great location with great rate. had a small private car park at rear. clean, Queen Studio well provisioned room, very clean, good mattress and bedding. had a good split system A/C and good size TV. good shared cooking and social area. pool small but good. staff friendly and helpful.

was a bit of a warren with corridors and rooms. car park was not secure. double bed was small for two. room was small but OK.

Friendly staff, comfy beds, modern clean bathroom. Great way to meet people. Very close to town.

Initial impressions were not good. This is a hostel with over 30 tiny rooms. The building is old, but our room was newly renovated and ended up being completely adequate for our stay. Kitchen was easy to use.

Very comfortable bed. All on ground floor. Reception staff friendly

Room smelt musty on arrival. Sprayed it with eucalyptus. Cleaners grumpy, one in particular who hmphed every time she saw me over the 2 days i was there. Could do with using a scrubbing brushes for the floors in toilet as concrete uneven and dirt is building up along these lines. Fridges smell, need baking soda and vanilla.

Didn't realise that this was a backpackers lodge. The kitchen was extremely handy, situated in the middle of the establishment. My room had its own ensuite and was everything you would find in a four star hotel

My only criticism was that my door was hard to open and may need a woodworking plane across the bottom of the door.....

I like this lodge and it was the second time that I stayed there. I recommend it as it gives you that taste of the outback lifestyle. It’s very cheap, centrally positioned, has heaps of free-of-charge street parking and you always meet some interesting guests in the communal area. It has a swimming pool as well !

I couldn’t get the gas BBQ going and I was really looking forward to that. Also couldn’t connect to wifi but luckily Telstra has 5G signal in Broken Hill.

The room was comfortable, with ensuite & good TV.

Never met any staff, just spoke once on phone. Mattress was a bit soft. Tourist Lodge is mostly good for backpackers however no one around day or night in case any questions or requirements - on reception.

The location its across the alley way from the bus stop for N S W Trainlink as for the lodge itself i found it very comfortable and Quiet bed was good

The stove in the kitchen did not know how to start it because you had to press buttons using your fingers

Great value and whilst the whole facility was obviously being renovated our room was finished and very tidy and clean. Don't expect a 4 star hotel experience though

The kitchen being communal was a bit feral with no usable pots but that's the nature of shared kitchen unfortunately
