It is beautiful, the renovations are awesome, the new rooms and reception are great and we can’t wait to see the completion of the adjacent building / rooms. The hotel food and drinks were fantastic. The staff were all lovely

One tiny detail, we got a bit warm during the night and also we love the sound of the sea …. Unfortunately with the balcony doors and curtains open the light from the balcony lights up the whole room just a bit too much. Maybe we could bring an eye mask next time

We loved that our balcony overlooked the ocean 😊 The room was also very lovely and I felt an immediate sense of calmness and relaxation upon arrival. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and the bathroom was beautifully done. I loved being able to open the doors and step out onto the balcony. It was also nice being able to have the screen doors shut but the hard doors open as we slept. The restaurant/bar downstairs was also fantastic! We had a delicious lamb dish 😋 The vibe was great on a Friday night and the beers are all made on the premises, which is awesome. We enjoyed everything about our stay!

I loved the modern rooms with our ocean view. and I really liked that the motel was family friendly, and that it was quiet, considering it was attached to a hotel. The staff were super friendly. I love that we could walk out of our motel room, and only a short distance away was the beautiful pub with live music, nice food, the humpback brewery, and fantastic views of the ocean. I love the renovation, where the old and the new merged perfectly together.

The hotel renovations are terrific with great decks and plenty of room for those who are covid shy. Both of our meals (grilled sole) were exceptional and would do justice to any first class restaurant. Great choice of beers on tap.

Motel accommodation a little tired but still good value for money. Was however clean and had nice water views from a deck overlooking the ocean. This will probably be the next renovation project but will probably incur a sharp increase in cost.

All staff personnel wonderful, friendly, helpful and efficient. The pub meals were delicious and thank you for catering for vegetarians. Location beautiful. We so enjoyed the live music too.

The floor drains in our bathroom were very pungent and made the entire room stink like sewerage! We had to keep both windows open in the bathroom at all times and put towels over the floor drains to stop the stench from rising. The accomodation is very "tired" and needs a serious upgrade. Oh, and the hot water tap swivelled so hard to turn off.

Fabulous location, view and atmosphere. Loved the decor. A great mix of modern and historic features.

Bathroom was lovely and spacious but could do with more bench or shelf space so we didn't have to place all our toiletries etc on the floor. Also could do with a couple of extra towel rails or hooks.

The location is exceptional. We were bikepacking for the four previous days and the bed and view from the motel was amazing. The condition of the motel is average and is showing its age but you aren’t paying for the motel, but rather the location and view.

The motel rooms are in need of a bit of a freshen up. But, I still love staying at the place!

Room was large with opening windows. Lovely balcony. Bathroom was large and bright. No charge for carparking. Dining room was excellent. The views from both sides was amazing.

No bench space in the bathroom. Had to move a small coffee table in to place toiletries on. Also no breakfast available in the dining room.

This is a perfect location if you like the sound of waves crashing at the foot of the cliff below. Also if you want a great family pub right next door for meals, music etc. These motel rooms at the back of the pub are quiet, clean, large and light filled. They sit on the edge of a cliff with views and are also handy for a walk to the wharf. The boutique pub next door, with its large decking, is a ripper + you don't hear noise from it in the motel rooms. They are the usual pretty basic, dated in layout, style etc., as are most old motel rooms, but they also have a certain uplifting charm too, unlike some similar age motel rooms. Great bed. Great value for money. We loved upstairs Room 8 and 9 the best. Would stay here again. Maybe even try the new rooms currently being built at the back of the hotel. The hosts were also lovely, easy going people, which we appreciated.

Our TV connection was broken - but hopefully it's fixed now. We didn't really care at the time if we had TV anyway.

Affordable accommodation, great location. bed was comfortable. Basic but clean and great for those on a budget.

This is only very minor but the WiFi wasn’t amazing and it could be nice to have a microwave in each room.
