The room had everything we needed, with a generous kitchen area for a motel room price. A hairdryer, tissues, extra blanket, the little things others sometimes miss. Also an EV CHARGER was a big plus

Nothing we didn’t like

-clean space -friendly and responsive owners -bathroom was nice with large benchspace and a hairdryer and a glassed shower. We got the newly renovated bathroom. -netflix included, didn't have to sign into your own account. This was so good! -they even have a sport channel on tv. -wifi was good. -location was central in merimbula -mini fridge and microwave -tissue box provided Overall i would recommend this place!

-pillow was a little high and firm -mattress was a little on the soft side around i'd say a 6.5/10 in firmness. -no kitchen sponge to wash dishes but they had a cloth. -can hear foot stomps on upper level so sound insulation not the greatest i guess but it wasn't too bad.

I like the contactless check in and check out used at this property. It’s an old fashioned/retro style family motel and it’s great for that. The room is big, and has a kitchenette (microwave, plates, cups, cutlery etc) as well as the usual mini fridge and kettle. You could stay a few days and self cater if you want. Bathroom has been renovated/modernised and is nice. Walking distance to town. Quiet location.

The pool wasn’t fully clean, so did not look enticing. To be fair, it was windy, so maybe the debris was freshly blown into the pool.

Loved everything about this stay. The owners have provided quality fittings, furniture, facilities & room accessories for everything a traveller could need. The decor is stylish & so very comfortable. Our request for a downstairs room with walk-in shower facilities for a disabled family member were heeded & appreciated. Communication was exceptional. Owners so very accommodating & friendly. I would never stay anywhere else in Merimbula.

Excellent value for money for a motel so close to the centre of town. We did a survey, and were upgraded to a larger room, which was nice. There are plenty of restaurants within easy walking distance.

We had to go out for breakfast. Motels are not what they used to be. On the plus side, we found a nice restaurant down by the harbour which had freshly squeezed orange juice. Their eggs Benedict was pretty good too.

Great hotel, we love it. The room was very clean, the room and facilities inside was very organized, we very much enjoyed our stay there. The staff working there are kind and friendly. Location is great, in the middle , city center and walking distance to everything. I highly recommend this hotel, clean, and comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Nice pool too. Thanks.

We appreciated the king size bed and the newly refurbished bathroom. Great shower! Also, unlike many standard motels, the rooms at Summerhill have a kitchenette, large flat screen TV and double sofa. These are extremely functional rooms for motel accommodation. Very central to town.

The carpark seemed a little on the tight side; close parking when it’s a full house.

A great place to stay, these little self-contained rooms are very clean and tidy. It has all the creature comforts for a lovely overnight stay and walking distance to the centre of Merimbula. It was easy self check in and out with reception unmanned. We would definitely stay again.

Being on the first floor, hubby had to carry the luggage up the stairs as it had been raining. The stairs were a little slippery.

Clean. Good bathroom. Great hair dryer. Good bed. Tea maker, instant coffee, microwave, fridge. Small pool for kids. Solid choice for old school, reasonably priced motel. Seems very well run.

Could use a little updating in the room, but everything is functional and clean. Not fancy, but my wife liked it just fine. She would prefer a Marriott or Four Seasons but this is adequate. I think that is actually high praise. 😁

We were upgraded to the king room with water views, free of charge. The gentleman running this accommodation was super friendly, polite and obliging. The ceiling fan was very pleasant and the room was spotless. The bed was large and comfy. We were within walking distance to all shops and cafes. There was adequate parking too.

The decor seemed dated and we had to climb 3 flights of stairs to get to the premium room. Request a ground floor room if you have mobility issues. I understand that it is peak season but we still thought the price was a bit high for what it was. I would also have liked a disposable shower cap and fresh milk to have with a cup of tea would have been a nice touch, given the price.
