We felt very welcome when we arrived at Royal Hotel Tenterfield, check in was easy and friendly. Sharon gave us fresh milk and homemade biscuits, what a nice touch. Large clean cups and clean glasses all are cleaned in the dishwasher. (dirty kitchen ware is a pet hate of mine in accommodation) Our room was clean and comfortable and very quiet as we were not on the main road. Motel Tenterfield is a beautifully and lovingly restored property. Fabulous and generous meals are available at the bar area or the Restuarant.

Room was clean and comfortable. Good lighting in all areas. Table and chairs to dine at but also 2 lounge chairs, sooo comfortable, see photo. Parking directly in front of room, carport with side panels for privacy. Good extra parking spaces Well equipped kitchenette with microwave. Fresh milk supplied. Large bathroom. Good shower water flow. Attached pub to hotel had beautiful charm with a restaurant. Good selection of meals, Lovely friendly staff. Interactive. Good supply of tourist information and guides/maps for those who want paper form

You cant see the motel rooms from the street. Signage is there, but smallish Fillet steak was a bit dry.

The staff: welcomed and orientated to the motel / hotel. Jug milk and homemade Anzac biscuit offered on arrival. When I mentioned the beautiful heritage hotel building which houses reception and the dining rooms, I was given a short tour and history of the building, before being shown the dining room and the way to get to my accommodation. I was also offered a room in the recently renovated upstairs part of the building instead of the room I booked. This would have been amazing but I prefer ground floor. The motel is behind the hotel. This building looks more mid-century but has been nicely maintained with individual car ports with probably screens at each door. Terrazzo step into the small it comfortable room with kitchenette and dining table. Ample power points, especially around bed. The bathrooms are fully renovated and beautiful. Attention to detail in everything. Welcome pack included instructions for air con, wifi, etc and included the menu for the dining room at the hotel. It also included the other dining and take-away options in town as well as a list of the local cafes for your morning coffee or breakfast. This was in the original heritage part of the hotel. Restored lovingly.

I like that the Motel is close to sightseeing places, shops, cafes, and restaurants. The staff are nice and friendly. The motel itself is spotless. It has basic appliances and furniture. The beds are comfortable, and extra blankets are available in case needed. Upon arrival, we were given a small jar of fresh milk and cookies. There's a voucher to get a free doughnut from Bad Manners Cafe, which I enjoyed eating with a great tasting coffee.

The air-conditioning was a little noisy at night. I had to turn it off to be able to go to sleep well. Anyway the temperature was nice. The lighting outside was a bit bright at night. The blackout curtain could have been close to the window to block the light completely. Overall, it's good, and we'll be back next time.

Location was great, straight across the road from the Tenterfield saddler! Room was quite comfortable and very good value for money. We ended up eating at the royal hotel (front of the complex/connected) at their munro’s bar and kitchen, we had a few beers, and shared a couple of entrees as we weren’t too hungry, food was lovely, and the women working the bar was super friendly! We loved our one night visit to Tenterfield, I enjoyed a brisk, cold walk around town early to get the day started, beautiful town to walk around and take in the country charm.

The only criticism would be the aircon was noisy as it turn on and off throughout the night, I’m a light sleeper, so this woke me several times. But wasn’t terrible! Just noisy as it ramped up.

The decor of the old hotel has been restored providing an experience with polished timber walls and crackling open fires. There are quiet corners and a happy main bar hosting both locals and visitors. The newly refurbished rooms were warm and quiet. We dined in both the restaurant and the bar during our stay. Both meals were very enjoyable including an offering of local wines and beers. The hotel is not currently offering breakfast, however several excellent cafes provide this service within easy walking distance of the hotel.

The proximity. Close to everything. The room was very comfortable and clean and welcoming. It was nice to also have a selection of hot chocolate and coffee mixes to drink and not just tea and coffee. Also the added touch of home-made Anzac biscuits on arrival was a welcoming touch

The air-conditioning was very loud and continually interrupted our sleep. We needed it on as it was very cold. Also the light from the carports came through making the room quite light at night so maybe some pelmets to minimise this would help. The bed was a little soft.

This Motel has recently been refurbished and was a wonderful surprise. The bathroom is modern with a rain shower. All furnishings were new and the bed was very comfortable. The room was very well presented and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The only thing that we could ask for is another bedside table, however that was on order and the room that we had was only finished last month. The fan in the bathroom was a little noisy- not sure if that could be fixed as everything was new.

Heritage pub has been carefully restored. They have done a great job. Cosy comfortable rooms with good facilities. Evening meal ( home style)beside a raging fire was certainly welcome on a cold night after a long day of travel.. Very friendly staff, great welcome and showed us around so we could make a choice of room . Very central to town and Tenterfield Sadler is across the road - main street around corner.. Would certainly come back when travelling in the area.

Room 12 was exceptionally quiet with undercover parking right outside our accommodation and what a surprise when we walked into our accommodation, FABULOUS spotless and the bed so so comfortable. Would recommend this accommodation to all travellers to Tenterfield and close to Main Street. Enjoyed our dinner in the Hotel Restaurant, again fabulous. A credit to the owners and super friendly staff.
