Love this accom so much. It was our 3rd stay. Yamba is the sweetest little town, and this hotel is a whole destination in itself. We booked Christmas week, with our young adult children and just wanted to enjoy some quiet time and show them around. Unfortunately, you can’t control who you are staying along side of, and we had the rudest, large family stay at the same time. They weren’t all guests of the surf. However, they came from other rentals to use the amenities, and took over almost every rec space they could. Which hampered the stay of everyone else there. I felt that they should have been scolded by management a little more. Unfortunately, money doesn’t buy class or manners and people will usually disappoint, and it really put a dampener on our trip. Especially Christmas Day.

I LOVED staying at The Surf, Yamba! The property has truly thought of everything to make your stay unforgettable. The solar-heated rooftop pool has breathtaking views and is just a stone's throw from the main beach. I loved the freedom to bring my own drinks or food to the rooftop lounge area. Also appreciated the complimentary Byron Bay cookies and fresh apples. The bedroom was a stylish oasis, complete with an ultra-comfy bed and was very quiet. The front desk manager, Gary, was an absolute gem – friendly, helpful, and always ready with a smile. I can't wait until I can return to The Surf, Yamba. I highly recommend this incredible property to anyone an unforgettable getaway.

The Surf Yamba was exceptionally luxe!! From when you walk in the smell makes you take a breath in then an exhale into relaxation. Our room was beautiful, clean and well styled. We had a big balcony with greenery and table and chairs to chill out. The pool on the roof was so amazing with a view more stunning than I can describe in words. On the other side of the roof is an area with tea and coffee making facilities, games, lounges and the perfect spot to watch the sun rise. A short walk down to the kiosk on the beach was the perfect spot for breakfast. Overall there is not one thing I could fault, it was so beautiful and we loved our stay here.

Our welcome was warm and helpful. The parking was very convenient. We were delighted with the cleanliness and thoughtfully laid out room in what was obviously a new building. It had been well designed to ensure every comfort, with excellent provision for placement of luggage and very good lighting. Our room had sea views and a pleasant terrace, it was possible to open the sliding doors and get good fresh air inside. The terrace upstairs was very well provided with food choices and great sea views, we enjoyed dining there on a very generous platter which we pre-ordered. We saw the Harvest Moon rise over the sea, big and red, which was an unexpected side benefit. Checking out was easy and as we packed the car in the parking under the building the cleaners brought me something I had inadvertently left in the room, which was most appreciated!

We liked everything about the room and its layout, but a warning strip to indicate that there is a small step down into the shower area would have been helpful, I tripped and nearly fell because I wasn't expecting a difference in floor level.

This little boutique hotel is probably one of my favourite stays I've ever had. My sister and I both stayed here and we kept remarking about the small touches that made it so wonderful. From the lounge area with tea, coffee and biscuits always on hand, to thoughtful beach towels and bags to use, to the complimentary daily snacks in room - it was a truly luxurious experience. And the location is amazing!

I can't think of a single thing I would change about this experience and would happily send anyone here

• Ridiculously amazing views • You can’t help but appreciate the architecture and design that went into this place, down to the finishings, I mean even walking down the stairwell is stunning haha. Just wow. • Walking distance to everything you need (Sandbar Restaurant next door is 5 Star) • The Pippi deck had a fantastic coffee machine, Sonos and plenty of space to chill • Great pool • Clean rooms with comfortable bed (and plenty of pillows) • The bath is big! • They use good quality shampoo/conditioner/wash, not just little bottles of cheap ones like every hotel does - Go for a walk to the Lighthouse! It’s only a few minutes! - The 11am checkout makes a big difference

Beautifully designed building and rooms. Incredible upper level to hang on with pool and multiple lounges and chairs. Love there aren’t signs up everywhere telling you don’t do this or that. Could take our little dog and got made feel very welcome. Surround by gorgeous sheltered beaches. 10 min walk to town centre. Lovely touches in room like slippers and robe and some complimentary snacks.

Every beach said no dogs so we didn’t go to the one with the life guards directly out front if the building. Walked 5 min to the next beach where even though the sign says no dogs people have there dogs. Hilly to walk around it didn’t bother us as good to burn off all the food.

Great location and fantastic view of the beach and ocean from the pool deck. The property is new and has all the mod cons, including a great selection of TV stations and we were surprised by the very nice local beers and drinks that were included in the bar fridge. The staff were very friendly and ensured we had an under cover car park. Will definitely return for another short holiday. PS the French restaurant a few doors away was very good.

The attention to detail in this Hotel is second to none. The place is absolutely spotless. If you like to watch TV after a day at the beach you have every channel you like. If you like a coffee there is a jura coffee machine in an amazing common room with ice machine. Could go on and on , just perfect.

The room was light and airy with an amazing view. The bathroom was a great size with lots of quality bath products. It felt like a home away from home with the extras it provided. It had a rooftop section with a coffee machine, tea and fruit and nibbles, all complimentary. There were lounges to sit on and admire the view, board games, books and a plunge pool. The location was fantastic and the staff welcoming and friendly.

It was all lovely. Nothing to complain about.
