Kristy was very friendly and happy to order or cancel taxi. TAXIS WERE NOT EXPENSIVE. Kristy always had a welcoming smile and we( four of us and two rooms) were very comfortable. I had requested ground floor rooms and Kristy sent me an email saying this was done. When we checked PARAP we were amazed at everything that was close by. The coffee cafe, supermarket and Indian restaurant owners were ever so friendly. Even the local residents.

We realise that They are trying to update the rooms. The swimming pool was in the front and we had to walk through the reception. Lucky we were the only ones who used the pool and no one was around. Lucky we had our own drink bottles. Only Kings Canyon Resort provided us with 2 bottles of water each.

The man who owns and operates the hotel (from the 1970's) is so nice, comes from the days when someone can't do enough for you. A really genuine person. The rooms are beautiful, all done up. Safe and secure with a pristine pool and safe off street parking, in a very nice neighbourhood, close to shops, markets, the airport and the City. We loved our stay in Darwin. Thank you, we'll be back!

It was convenient to the places I wanted to visit in the CBD. Room was clean, bed comfortable and the shower a good size so the shower curtain didn't stick to you. :) The little balcony was a pleasant place to have a morning coffee or relax after sightseeing.

Just a suggestion - a small bottle of detergent to be able to wash up any cups/plates used.

From the moment I arrived the staff were friendly and very helpful. There are a lot of extras you can ask them for (pool towels, hairdryer, microwave, local knowledge) plus a laundry and community kitchen. My room was older style fittings with a huge shower, two huge double built in cupboards and a verandah with a table and chairs. The bed was very comfortable and the linens clean and modern, with good blockout curtains. The foyer and room folder have heaps of tourist activity brochures. It was a pleasant 15 minute flat walk to Mindil sunset markets and a 10 minute flat walk to a bakery and various cuisine, and the big red tourist bus stop. Or there seems to be orange electric scooters everywhere in Darwin that you can use cheaply. You can checkin or checkout after hours if needed for flights and it's not too close or far from the airport, costing about $20-25 by taxi. Would definitely stay again.

I guess some people wouldn't like the older style, but it was very well presented, fitted out and spacious.

Paravista Motel is in a great location, walking distance to the Mindil Beach Market, Parap Market, Museum, Racecourse, Fanny Bay, Darwin Sailing and Trailer Boat clubs and only 10 mins drive to the City.

The Motel is a little 'shabby' and not sparkly, but is definite value for money. Unfortunately, there is no elevator for taking heavy bags up to the third floor.

Excellent Location, close to everything we wanted to see and do. The pool was great and the rooms comfortable. The staff were friendly and accomodating.

The property is a little 'tired' but still very functional. The walk up 3 floors with heavy gear was ok for us, but may be an issue for people not so fit???

We enjoyed out stay as the room had everything that we needed for our stay. The air conditioning worked well as it was still very hot even in early june. The rooms and bathroom decor are dated but its clean and the beds are comfortable and so it was a great place to stay at a good price. Off street car parking is good and its not far to travel by car to the main points of interest around darwin. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The wifi is patchy in your room but they warn you that this is the case

Paravista has an amazing position...Parap is a lovely neighbourhood with everything we needed and is quite close to cool spots (Art Gallery, East point). Easy to get to by public transport. The staff was very helpful and super friendly.

Super friendly and helpfull staff. Check-in process was well communicated. Basic clean room in a quiet neighbourhood. Comfortabel bed and warm shower. Close to the museum , mindil beach and parap market

Rooms are a bit outdated, need to ensure basic maintenance is kept up.

Well located in the inner suburbs if Darwin near attractions 10 minutes by bus from the CBD. Kitchen available; cool water pool. Our upper floor room had a balcony surrounded by tall trees.

Doors to rooms had a very flimsy closure and reception was unattended much of the time. The front entry was sometimes left unlocked by other guests. Room AC was noisy.
