So you’ve made the decision to stay in a hotel at Brisbane Airport to minimise the travel time on your overseas trip, but which hotel should you stay at, the Pullman or the Ibis? Let’s identify the basics first, the Pullman and Ibis are next door to each other so location is not an issue. Both are within walking distance of the Domestic Airport or you can take the hotel shuttle for around $8 per person. It’s an overnight stay, with probably an early morning start, so the fundamental requirements are a hot shower, a comfortable bed and an evening meal. We have now stayed at both hotels and both pass the shower and bed benchmarks. The main difference is the bathroom and bedroom in the Pullman are more spacious, so if you crave space, then you will need an extra $60+ for your Pullman space. You have two options for an evening meal, the busy, noisy, family “Cribb Island Beach Club” at the Ibis or the more tranquil “Apron Restaurant & Bar” in the Pullman. Tranquillity does come at a cost. The menu at the Cribb is surf club style, limited but very tasty and the servings are generous. Unless you go for the steak, a main course is around $30. On this trip, as the Cribb deserts were limited, we had desert in the Apron and a second glass of wine, both a bit more expensive than the Cribb, but the inclination to linger is greater. So in summary, it’s the Pullman if space is your thing. Alternatively you could walk to and from the Domestic terminal, stay at the Ibis and treat yourself to dinner and tranquility at the Pullman with your savings. Endless choices, so you are now probably even more confused!
Hard to fault. Great location, large comfortable room and quiet, pleasing restaurant.

The staff were sooo friendly and helpful!!! They made our stay with our small kids very enjoyable and stress free.
The location needs to be better explained from the international airport. Make sure you get the blue bus outside the international terminal or a taxi if you have lots of luggage or young children. It's a mission of on-off buses lugging everything otherwise.

We had a large quiet room overlooking the road. Very handy to the airport and the shuttle was easy to book through reception. The staff were very helpful with assisting taking our bags to the room which was very appreciated with small children in tow. The restaurant at the Ibis next door was very handy, good food and price.
The pillows were too soft for us but everyone has their own preference there. There was (I believe) a long narrow window, covered by a blind between the two beds, when it started raining, you could hear the rain dripping on the windowsill. A tad annoying but some might find it soothing?

The room met my expectations for the short stay. Everything was neat and tidy and comfortable. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Prices a little expensive for what they were.
To access the hotel was a trek from the airport and the directions were poor. There was no clear signage and I had to ask for directions several times. Yes it was a building site and a lot going on, but this was poorly catered for. Improved signage at the very least giving directions. If not a small shuttle catering for guests to the two hotels close by to cart luggage and customers would have been hugely beneficial and appreciated. I'm not unfit and walk many kms' daily. Others would have definitely struggled with this.

Bedroom was immaculately clean, staff were incredibly helpful, very close to airport, very good ammenities.
No microwave to heat up our dinner but the staff were helpful and heat it up for us in their restaurant. Bed was a little tough, could do with a memory foam mattress topper, could also do with more than one chair in a room, we didn’t really know where to sit to eat. The pool looked absolutely splendid but we couldn’t use it due to other guests having an incident and it was closed for maintenance but to the hotels defence the staff were very helpful in recommendations to other local pools.

The superior twin room was spacious and well appointed. The bathroom was large with a good shower and separate toilet. The beds were very comfortable and there is a pillow menu if required. We used the room service and this was prompt and the meals delicious. The pool is an added bonus with lots of loungers and fresh towels. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful with check in and check out fast and efficient.
There is a shuttle available to the airport in the morning and there is a charge of $8 per person for this. I think this shuttle could be complimentary for guests who are travelling on.

We had to take a taxi from the international arrivals to the hotel. The next day we were able to walk to our rental car which is in the domestic arrivals building, so no taxi necessary.
We were in a room with a large barrier free bathroom, which was really just too big. I felt like I was in a hospital room. There was no lid on the toilet! There was no room to put anything on the sink, the shelf is about 3-4 meters across the room. It wasn't a proper shower, no doors, no curtain, so the water was all over the floor. The bed was okay, but the pillows were terrible. I slept without the hard, high pillow. A week later we stayed at the Ibis which is right next door, and it was definitely better.

Everything was great, breakfast was a bit pricey, but a big portion, I opted for a la carte. The only negative thing was when I booked the shuttle they told me the wrong time and I missed it and had to pay more than double and they didnt take it off my bill even though they said they would but I had to reach out. They didnt seem apologetic about it.

I had a fantastic stay at the Pullman Brisbane Airport! The location is unbeatable for convenience, especially for early flights. The rooms were modern, clean, and exceptionally comfortable, with great attention to detail. The staff were friendly and professional, making the check-in and check-out process seamless. The on-site restaurant served delicious meals, and the overall atmosphere was calm and relaxing despite being so close to the airport. It’s a little pricier, but well worth it for the convenience and quality. Highly recommend for travelers!
Nothing particularly stands out as having disliked. It is a little pricey to stay here but I suppose you are paying for the convenience of the location.

Our junior suite, on the top floor (10th) was perfect for aircraft watching plus even better we had access to the executive lounge to plane watch from the other side of the building. The complimentary non alcoholic refreshments were lovely. Loved our comfortable spacious suite with floor to ceiling windows, a wet bar, lounge area and a massive bathroom with shower and separate bath tub. Terrific location with a ten minute walk to the domestic airport. The swimming pool was very refreshing and well maintained. All staff were lovely from concierge, reception, bar and restaurant.
The lack of comms from the hotel eg no welcome email or text etc with what to expect on the Christmas Day and Boxing Day public holidays, and info about restaurant bookings etc.
