Deluxe lower level, one bed apartment. Room is dark, so good for sleeping if you need a dark room. Spa bath and good size shampoo, conditioner and soap available. Fresh linens and towels after seven nights. Convenience of being in the heart of town is the reason I chose this hotel and it’s in walking distance of the marina and restaurants. Reasonably quiet. Pool is heated to a comfortable temperature and very nice after a hot day. Port Douglas does not disappoint its a wonderful Aussie town.

Be aware that property has construction going on next door our “view“ was of the levelled building site. Truck, digger and roller noise all day for part of our stay. Hopefully the noisy part of the build is completed quickly.

Centre of Main Street so easy to walk everywhere. The pool is small but lovely to potter around in and perfect temperature. The kitchen has everything you need. The bathroom products were really lovely. Overall a really good place to stay and I will return.

The only problem was that major work was being done behind the property so from 0700-3:00 very noisy but that will end at some point and nothing to do with The Pavilions!

The Reception staff were very helpful and knowlegeable. My wife lost her reading glasses and Jen at reception really tried to help us locate them. We also booked a river cruise through reception which all went smoothly. The beds were very comfortable. The off street parking is a bonus, we arrived on market day where parking was next to impossible, this plus the building location made our arrival and transporting our suitcases very easy.

The rooms are showing their age somewhat, tap fitttings are looking tired and our toilet cistern would take ages to fill, not good in the dead of night silence! There is an onsite swimming pool but no pool towels are in the room. Our first day was a Sunday and the reception hours are shorter, we could not get pool towels until Monday afternoon, They were given to us with no hessitation when we were able to speak to a reception staff member.

After arriving later than we had advised, the lovely Manager Shannon met us with a cheery smile and was only too happy to provide us with all the information we needed on the property, including carparking etc. Shannon and her sister Crystal appear to have recently taken over the management of the Pavilions, which is now a member of the Silkari brand and appear very keen to improve the property and all it has to offer. We received plenty of useful information on activities in the area (including advice on the local crocodile spotting areas near the town) and also had bookings arranged at a great price. We cannot speak more highly of the service and the property itself. Our 1 BR apartment, located on the lower carpark level was so easy to access and super quiet at the rear. Being our first visit to Port Douglas, the great experience we had from the staff made it such a great holiday. The location of the property, being positioned on the main street between Four Mile Beach and the wharf area made it ideal to explore on foot.

Nothing. Everything was terrific.

Apart from the location being excellent, The on-site managers Shannon and Crystal were unbelievable and I was just astounded with the amount of work that these two young ladies have to do all by themselves. They welcomed us and made our stay very enjoyable. They are a real credit and great asset to Silkari The Pavilions we look forward to our next stay and would definitely recommend staying here.

That we didn’t stay longer

The location in the middle of town was great, walking distance to pubs, restaurants, wharf, shops, everything! Spacious room, air con and comfortable bed.

Construction site out the back door!! Was not aware of this at all. It wasn't advised. Workmen literally could see into our room until some netting went up on day 2. Carpark is small and very tight and not suitable for any 4WDs. Street parking can usually be found tho.

Fantastic location right in the centre of town and the staff were great. Easy walking distance to shops, cafes and restaurants.

There was construction work behind the property which we were warned about before we went but some of the units, including ours, faced the construction zone and the noise was early and loud some days.

Right in the middle of Port Douglas - great location with off street parking. Didn't really have any dealings with Reception. Large room with very dark patio which we didn't use. Bed large and comfortable in a separate area which had sliding doors. Living area large and well appointed. Air conditioning. There was a swimming pool which we used twice. Plenty of shops, restaurants, shops and bars about. Would use again.

More stairs than we anticipated!! Down to our room (though it was beside the underground carpark. As mentioned above , very dark patio area which was very overgrown and not inviting.

The staff were fantastic. Friendly and helpful. They booked our bus transfers to and from the airport. Booked our tours, recommended things to do and see. Absolutely lovely

The tv didn’t work. Didn’t bother me but my husband was upset. In saying that he didn’t go and talk to staff about it so his own fault 🤣 I could think of better things to do than watch tv 🤔

Just off Main Street, the room was at the back with a balcony and a pleasant view. Pool was small and I didn't use it, but not far from patrolled area on the sea. Also very quiet and had good internet and a great tv.

Cooking facilities were limited and no dishwasher. Everything else was fine. I also stayed at the lagoon which had a really good 3 bed flat, outside tub and better pools - but a short ride to the centre. Both very good.
