The staff were all really lovely and sociable, whilst still maintaining a more laidback approach which I really appreciated. Facilities are really great, and the vibes were good! It was really convenient having a restaurant right next to the pool, especially on the hotter days where drinks are necessary.

I think the soundproofing needs to be better, especially for the rooms that boarder the lift/stairs/restaurant area. I was staying in room 4 on the third level, and I was able to hear entire conversations of other guests from inside my room.

The location is perfect, short stroll down to The Strand and plenty of food options available. for those seeking night life entertainment, your in the thick of it with here. Pool area in the middle of all of the rooms made it easy to go grab a quick swim several times a day, however there are plenty of areas and facilities around the pool for you to be able to settle yourself in there for several hours. We had a family apartment which was a little set back so really quiet. Rooms were spacious enough for us all and bathrooms were great. Loved the rain showers. On site parking was helpful to have. Staff were really helpful and nice to deal with.

be careful of the bar fridge it can freeze what you have in there depending on the positioning, over 5 days still didn't manage to find the right balance on it when adjusting temps.

Wasn’t sure what to expect knowing it was a backpackers hotel in a past life. But wow! What a fantastic hotel. Rooms are comfortable with good sized beds. The pool and restaurant are located on the same level as the rooms which made the stay so easy especially travelling with children. The staff from the front desk to the bar/restaurant were so friendly and accommodating. Great selection of meals available from the restaurant and if you prefer room service they would bring it to your room without a charge or fee. The meals were great value and well priced. I would stay at this hotel again when in Townsville next.

An Awesome stay made even better by the service I received after fracturing my leg and ending up on crutches. The service I received from all staff from reception to bar/ restaurant was exceptional. Reception messaging , Room Service if required, Bar and Restaurant Staff/ Service , Room Servicing . Nothing was an issue. Highly recommended for a long stay for business or pleasure as everything you need is on site for you. Great Food ! Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner with nightly specials. Full Bar and Cabana areas around the pool great for chilling out. Once again, I would love to thank all of you for your help during my challenging week and look forward to seeing you for a week same time next year. Cheers Monty

Very nice rooms, great pool, comfy bed, couple of onsite places for food and drinks which deliver to the room. Great location.

Lots of the washing machines/ dryers were out of order during our stay and the charge 5 dollars in coins. Bit of a hassle if you’re someone who doesn’t routinely carry change. Had a connectivity problem with the television but we didn’t ask them to sort it out so it wasn’t a problem, the channels were working. Directions to the parking facilities could be clearer prior to arrival - happy to concede I may not have seen these directions and that would be an oversight on my part.

The staffs were very friendly especially the Filipino staffs. They were so approachable. Foods were good and affordable. Amazing view as well. Location was so great. We had so much fun during our stay.

The air conditioner wasn’t working properly. It wasn’t cooling the room. My husband couldn’t concentrate well on his review due to it. We needed to move and change room three times. We were happy since staffs had given us immediate response on our concern but it was just hassle to move our things. The air conditioning in the final room we ended up in wasn't as cold as we had hoped or expected, but it was better than the other two rooms. We are hoping they will change and upgrade their air conditioners since still we want to stay in there if we go to Townsville again.

It was clean and nicely decorated for what is obviously an older hotel. They have done well to modernise it as best they can within the rooms. The poolside bar on the top floor, is a great place to hang out in the evening and very close to the rooms. Underground car parking was free. Liked the free drink and coffee voucher but you do have to purchase a meal in order to get either of these.

The location is in the CBD of Townsville which is really a dead zone apart from nightclubs on the weekend. No fault of the hotel at all but good to know for visitors. There was a free coffee voucher but you have to purchase a breakfast with it. I don't eat breakfast and there are NO other coffee places open in the morning nearby. Also the cafe didn't open until 7am so the nearest coffee place was a drive to the Strand. I don't know if the rooms near the pool would be noisy in the evening as they are next to the bar and people were swimming every time I passed the pool.

Went for Christmas 3 course lunch and stayed the night. The deserts were delicious. The 1st course was underwhelming and I thought should of been free at the end of the meal. 2cnd course was hit and miss. Potatoes and carrot and chicken were delicious. But happy overall. The wood fire pizza for dinner was delicious.The bed was comfortable and felt clean. Wifi connected easily.

There was no milk in the fridge for coffees. I really hate having to chase up staff to get a few little milk packets. It would be nice if it was just there in the fridge. At $200 a night for the king suite, I dont think that's too much to ask.

Loved a lot of things but especially the comfy pillows :D The location was perfect for what we needed as our daughter was singing at the Cotters Markets the next morning so just a short walk/drive down the road. The food was great! The cocktails were amazing! The staff were friendly & efficient and the fact that the rooms, pool and food and bar area are right there together made for an enjoyable family weekend away.

Pretty much loved everything about the stay apart from the fact that we had to remove the card/key to turn off the bathroom lights at night which then also turned the air-conditioning off which meant that each time someone got up to go to the bathroom we would have to restart the air-conditioning when we would remove the key/card to turn the lights back off. Would be great if we could still have a light switch to just turn off the light instead of removing the key.

4 BEDROOM VILLA #3. The rooms were clean and fresh. The pool and bar area were fantastic. Breakfast each morning downstairs was delicious and great value. All the staff were very friendly and helpful

It stated serviced daily but the used towels were never collected although we received fresh towels on the kitchen table each day. Not a big issue but just something to be mindful of. We didn't expect linen to be changed but had an absolute pile of used towels under the basin by the time we left. No cutlery in the kitchen at all
