The rooms are small but good for short stays. The hotel is ideally situated in Palmer Street, near a number of restaurants. Special thanks to the two young women at reception who were exceptionally helpful as we were caught up in the Optus outage. Would happily stay here again for a overnight or a day or two. Excellent dinner across the road at Masala.

Nothing in particular. As I said, the rooms are small but good value and the hotel is in an excellent position.

Everything good, they are perhaps the only CBD hotel that advertise that Booking in closes 00:00, many other hotels close checkin at 10 PM, Greyhound bus delayed by flooding so I got there late about 11:30 and phoned number on door and Receptionist from Rydges diagonally opposite gave me my key so everything worked, clean room, clean carpet, I don't smoke and my sense of smell is keen and the room was clean, bed was very comfortable, coffee, milk, biscuits and water much appreciated and one of the great civilizers a box of tissues for cleaning any small spills. Reception chairs very comfortable in the morning and meal from the restaurant there delicious.

I couldn't see the WIFI password on the website, I scanned the QRCode and searched your website, either I was tired, intellectually challenged or blind, I do have gradual lenses, I was told it is there and I was shown the Password on the Reception counter in the morning but I didn't checkin at the Reception. I was going to book an onward leg of the journey, no other complaints at all

We were up for a Cowboys game, and the location was within walking distance of the Stadium. There are also plenty of cafes and resaurants on Palmer Street, so very easy to find somewhere to eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The beds were extremely comfortable, which is important to us, and the staff were very helpful, they speedily and happily assisted us when we got locked out of our room! It was good to have the 2 options for breakfast between the Palmer and Rydges, the children loved the buffet breakfast over at Rydges.

The Hotel could benefit from a bigger, better equipped gym, but it was good to have at least a small gym to work out in. There was a lack of parking on the busy weekend we visited, but the staff were helpful in showing us where else to find secure parking nearby.

There was a technical issue with the swipe key on my door (technical issues happen from time to time), however the staff quickly rectified the issue by changing my room which was much appreciated. The beds at the Palmer Collective are super comfortable in my opinion. I also found the hotel room to be very clean with housekeeping knocking on the door each day to ask if I wanted my room serviced / had enough of everything (e.g. towels). The hotel is also in a great location right near the restaurants on Palmer Street as well as being walking distance to the city and other attractions such as the Strand, Castle Hill and the ferries to Magnetic Island.

The one thing I did not like (but not exclusive to this hotel) was no ability to open or the window. I love fresh air and this was a little bit disappointing. However there is air conditioning so it wasn't a huge issue. Such a small issue and isn't make or break for me as I would book again when I am next in Townsville.

Cleanliness of the room was fabtastic. I was actually surprised how comfortable the bedding was! Made for a great nights sleep. Lovely facilities. With 2x chairs, a reasonable sized desk and hanging space. Quite a large TV also. Coin operated laundry available too if needed. Staff were brilliant. Fantastic restaurants right at the bottom of the hotel. Buffet breakfast at their sister hotel the Rydges across the road was lovely too.

The aircon was centrally monitored, so there was no availability to de-humidify the room. Or make it less cool at night. Also a bit disappointing that the windows were sealed, and staring at the roofing. Limited free parking. But $4 for 24hrs wasn't too bad.

Fresh air integrated professional Aircon (no cheap split unit). Compact style room but very good value for money. We loved eating at the restaurant inside the hotel (recommend doing this). Parking lot pool was closed :) and we were offered to use the nice pool of their sister hotel on the opposite side of the street # great solution. The hotel is located on a street with lots of places to visit , much better than we expected of Townsville. We stayed 3 nights, it was worth spending some more time here.

Nothing, maybe update the parking lot with a solar parking canopy could be a win win , shaded car park and solar energy for the aircons of the hotel.

Good location (to QLD stadium and pubs/restaurants) and quiet in room (apart from someone shouting in the corridor on Friday night after the football match) But it got quiet before I actually went to sleep. Also nice to have a safe place to park my car.

It was a bit expensive but that’s all about ‘location’ and amenities, I understand, because there is a restaurant onsite, gym and a pool, secure parking etc, I get it.

Really clean rooms, comfy bed Smart TV with Netflix etc. Staff were extremely helpful & accommodating (I wasn’t feeling well and they let me stay in the room for an hour past checkout time, also let us sit in the lobby all day until our night flight due to heavy rain) Toiletries in the bathroom Tea & coffee (although would be good to have actual milk rather than creamer for the Brits!)

Nothing in particular, breakfast included would make it a 10 for me

- room was modern having been recently renovated. - location was good. The street is quiet during the day but comes alive at night with restaurants. - bed was really comfy - convinience store across the road. - free onsite parking - within easy walking distance to the CBD - staff were great - free water bottles - room servicing and the ability to opt out - the brewery next door was cool - rooms were well sound proofed - although we didn't use it, it was good that they had a gym on site

- there aren't always enough carparks for the amount of guests. We had to park on the back street on our last night. It was still free but it was in a back street that doesn't get much traffic - the bathroom had some renovations done but the silicone/grout in shower looked dated and in need of redoing

Peter and Janette kindly offered a lift to the airport when there were no taxis available in Townsville due to a race meeting event. This was a generous act and typical of their approach to ensure that all guests are happy and have everything they want to enjoy the hotel. The rooms facing the street are the best and I was lucky enough to get one overlooking the beautiful building opposite.

A few maps and brochures of the area and daytrips would be useful for guests. But the main thing would be some plants or bamboo screen between the pool and the car park to make the pool so much more attractive for guests.
