The inn is situated within walking distance of Lake Wendouree with beautiful homes and food establishments nearby also. Ballarat CBD is an easy drive away but could also be walked to along the tree-lined streets. The room was well presented, spacious and clean and the bed was comfortable. There were also sufficient items to be "self-contained", e.g. microwave and cleaning products. We were welcomed cheerfully and offered helpful advice upon arrival.

Location very convenient to Event. Close to Lake, cafes, etc & reasonably quiet. Staff were friendly, informative & helpful. Bed very comfortable. Ironing board provided. Room was fairly spacious. Spa bath was generous size. Fresh towels were provided on request. On-site parking.

Towels were a bit thin. Restaurant was closed for refurb.

The room was spacious, with a well equipped kitchenette and efficient heating. Quiet. The bed had an electric blanket which was much appreciated for the cold nights we experienced. We were very close to Lake Wendouree, which made it good for walking around the lake. We found good cafes nearby for breakfast.

I woke up with back pain on the second night. The bed may have been a little too soft for me. We came on a Victorian Government Travel Voucher and needed a receipt marked PAID to claim. We had to request a receipt but were only given a tax invoice asking for our remittance. This may still be a problem for us.

Friendly greeting on arrival. Dinner at the Adjacent City Oval restaurant & bar. Location is excellent so close to the Lake.

Sound insulation between adjacent rooms was inadequate - I awoke at about 4 AM from someone snoring loudly in an adjacent room. This is almost certainly poor design - there needs to be more insulation between the sheet rock and the block-work walls on both sides.

The room was spacious, the bedding was soft and comfortable, clean, and smelled fresh, the bathroom was clean, well presented with linen and toiletries available, and the shower had great pressure to wash the body. The carers and workers were professionally helpful, warm and welcoming.

I really enjoyed being able to walk to Lake Wendoree and go to a couple of wonderful restaurants close by. It was very comfortable and great to come back to after a long day out with family and freinds. Managed to stream a movie as well. Highly recommend 😎

Close proximity to the lake and town centre, both within easy walking distance. There was no street noise andd the room was generously sized, (way better than most motel rooms we've stayed in).

Whilst the room was, more than adequate in size, cleanliness.........., there was little natural light and no views to speak of, except for the car parking area. But then, we weren't expecting to see the Hanging Gardens of Babylon when we glanced through the window.

Spacious, clean rooms. Nothing fancy, but a handy location. Plenty of car parking. Grateful to get a room on the ground floor (rather than having to carry luggage upstairs). Lovely couple/family running the hotel. Not the cheapest option, but the rooms are large, there is off street parking, airconditioning and very close to the lake and a supermarket.

BEST THING was after I left, I driven only 1 block before they phoned to say I'd left a bag in my room. Spacious, clean room, good facilities, mini-bar, good bath, several plugs at hand height so no bending down, pub next door did take-away, breakfasts were good. Lady on reception was very friendly.

Nitpick: I wish there had been more tea bags of each type. There were only 3 English Breakfast tea bags per day. There were no Earl Grey tea bags.

Loved the Size of the Room... & the outlook on Mair St. LOVED the Size of the Shower. LOVELY Location...

Would have liked to be able to Order/Eat Breakfast IN the Pub. We Don't Ever Eat in our Room... There wasn't a Beer on Tap that my husband would drink.... so we went Elsewhere... The WESTERN Hotel & the Lake View Inn & Aunty Jacks!
