Very comfortable bed, quiet and clean. Staff gave me check-in details and I found and accessed my room easily (ground floor). Everything I needed for a cosy budget stay close to Sovereign Hill. It is dated in appearance but that's the charm of budget Ballarat motels, the bedding and bathroom were excellent and I will keep staying here for future trips to Ballarat. Fair walk to the train station but there are bus stops nearby too. Pub and some food options within walking distance, couple of servos and parks around, not too far from the city centre on foot if the weather is nice, part of the walk is along Canadian Creek. Great option for solo travellers, budget travellers, those not fussed on modern looks and those wanting to stay close to Sovereign Hill, definitely recommend.

No real complaints!

When booking in we tried to book at their office but the chap told us its easier to use booking.com as its less work for him. We were at the office earlier than check in time and mentioned we were travelling to an area outside ballarat for the afternoon and there would be no phone reception. He told us we would receive a phone call from him, then an sms with the code to get into the unit. We were just luck to have a bar on the phone to receive his call. What would have happened if he couldn't contacts us we don't know.

Spacious room with TV, Microwave, fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. Sitting area. Air conditioning. Iron, ironing board, hairdryer - all of which I made use of. Beds were very comfortable. The room was very quiet - we slept very well. LOVED the pool.

Only something small - there were no plates or bowls, forks, knives etc. I'm sure if we'd asked we would have been supplied with these items.

I was offered an upgrade for free. It was lovely and spacious. The owners were very friendly and very helpful. The bed was super comfortable and the electric blanket was wonderful.

The split system was old and I couldn’t get it working to warm the room. The curtains were old and crumpled but clean.

The room we had was quiet and comfortable. The bed was not too hard nor too soft. Very handy if you are going to Sovereign Hill. The pool was really handy as it was a long hot day and it was really refreshing to take a dip in the afternoon. Great value for money. We would definitely come back again.

There was nothing that we didn't like.

Excellent location. walking distance to Sovereign Hill. on site restaurant but also other eating options nearby (Red Lion Hotel for example) bed's super comfy. air con fabulous indoor pool was great not too hot or cold. very relaxing

if you're after a fancy or super hot pool this isn't for you Parking can be a tight squeeze

It was very well located, and there was heaps of room in our family room! The staff were very helpful in providing me with instructions for our late check in. The beds were nice and comfy, and did everything we needed to do. We'll stay there again next time we're in Ballarat. Cheers!

Liked the location, the pool, the size of the room, and all amenities

The only fault we had was the need for more towels as we went swimming in your pool and when we requested more towels we were refused. If not for this, we would have given you a ten out of ten.

Room was located in quiet area of Motel - excellent and relaxing. Two interconnecting rooms with each own TV, plus air conditioning worked for both areas - perfect for 5 people with comfy beds Pool was absolutely perfect which included a soccer ball & swimming noodles for visitors to use. Had additional items in room - bath tub - if you have small kids, hair dryer and iron / ironing board.

Very comfortable bed, big TV, good heating with split system aircon.

I found it frustrating that reception office was closed when needed to book out, leaving me not knowing what to do with the door key-card so I had to just leave it in the room leaving door open.
