We enjoyed everything the pool was even heated. my 5-year-old grandson loves tennis, and we had his tennis rackets with us, so he played a little indoor tennis We had 2 rooms 10 and 11, Rooms were very comfortable and enough space for our needs. Location only a couple of minutes' drive from Ballarat City and just 1 minute away from Sovereign Hill. We could not praise all the staff from the Sovereign Park Motor Inn and the restaurant highly enough.

We could not fault anything

Before and during our stay, the managers demonstrated great hospitality and friendliness. Despite bad weather, kids (and adults) were thoroughly entertained swimming and playing table tennis. The use of salt water in the swimming pool was a plus for my eczema prone kids. The modern room was impeccable with a good supply of tea and coffee, biscuits and chilled drinking water. The shampoo and conditioner were nice too. We'd definitely come back to stay here.

A suggestion is to install a shower curtain in the bathroom as the toilet is next to the shower with nothing inbetween. Inevitably, the toilet got wet after a shower. The floor dried fairly quickly though. However, since this was a disabled room, we totally understand if this was the suitable configuration for those with disabilities.

Must say I was surprised …… didn’t expect what I experienced . Cracker of a room and week presented , amazing games facilities for kids, great pool …… the boy loved it such a bonus …… location perfect…….. and look I’m in Hospo and the level of service for room service was very surprised ….. checked your order , checked on you , curtious, polite , and modifications to anything was easy…… definitely coming back .!

Menu choices , need to put some little simpler options ….. pizza options thought could be better ….. margarita has to be on there , then additions ontop . The room cards weren’t reliable .

Receptionist was so helpful and lovely as well as staff at the on-site restaurant with delicious food. Facilities so clean and games room with pickle ball, table tennis, pool, spa, sauna, etc so much fun. The decor, garden, timber, bricks and colour scheme made a cosy stay which was part of my reason for choosing here because I like the warm finishes. Spa in our bathroom was fantastic also. Whole place exceeded my expectations, thank you for a wonderful stay, highly recommended.

There was nothing I didn't like.

Loved how close to Sovereign Hill this accommodation was. Gave us plenty of time in the morning to enjoy the facilities (heated pool, sauna and table tennis) before breakfast at the restaurant on site. Large range of food options including plenty of allergy friendly choices (partner is coeliac) we were rather impressed with the meals we all had

Not much we didn't like, if I had to fault anything, our room was a bit echoey and we were literally the furthest room from the pool so the walk back in the cold wasnt fun however, there are change rooms at the pool, had we realised, we could have taken our clothes and gotten changed there

The indoor pool area is what got me in , and it was better than expected. Large pool, long enough to do decent laps, and it had a seperate shallow area for kids. There were 2 seperate spa bath sections, plus a sauna room. All comfortably warm, and the water a good temperature. Next to the pool area was a well appointed gymnasium, a volleyball court and pool tables. We had the King Spa room and it had a large spa bath, but we didn't get time to enjoy it as we only stayed one night. The room is contemporary in design, with a comfortable bed, a sofa and chaise, and a small table and chairs. Outside is a small table and 2 chairs with a privacy screen if you wanted to sit outside your room for a drink or coffee. The hotel is attached to a local pub/bistro called The Red Lion and you can just walk in a back door for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We had dined in the city but went into the pub for drinks and it is obviously a popular spot for locals. Hotel staff advised if you want to dine there then book a table as some nights it can get very busy. The meals we saw being taken to tables were huge, and there was a good range of meals on the menu. They had a childrens play area, and they have on tap Carlton Draught Tank Beer, which my husband had not heard of before but was happily educated on it and gave it a try. Good drop apparently. Hotel is close to the Sovereign Hill tourist park, but also only a couple of minutes drive up the road into Ballarat City itself. I will recommend this hotel to all my friends, and hope to return to the hotel some time in the future when visiting Ballarat again.

There were no negatives that I could see. If you have mobility issues, ask for a room on the ground floor as there were some first floor rooms which would require you to climb a staircase.

Firstly, we'll be back to this slice of comfortable heaven. We were driving a hire car on a road trip. Greeted by very friendly staff (lady when we arrived for 2 days and a man when we departed). They could not be more helpful. The rooms was beautiful, spacious, great air con, everything we could have wanted. A lovely bathroom, excellent tv options, mini kitchen area, separate toilet, lots of raised ottomans and suitcase stand areas. Comfy couch. Room service daily for extra towels, biscuits, milk, room tidy. Staff again so nice. Had a lovely outdoor seating area. Privacy screen on porch. Back car right to door on ground level. Room 39 we were. Excellent pub and or restaurant right next door.. Did not hear a single noise. Slept like babies. Heads of charging options. A writing desk. An inside table. And we really needed the free on-site laundry area to re- fresh clothes. Had an wonderful indoor spa and sauna. There was also an indoor games area and pool. Great for kids and older folk. Felt very clean and safe, not noisy. Had indoor mini tennis too - pickle ball court, pool tables, and a gym and a conference area and a photocopy and internet room! And we walked to Sovereign Hill Gold Mine Attraction. Thank you, perfect!! P.S. Car parking is off the street, right outside your room. Easy to park and turn your car. Lots of room and very safe. We will be back. Loved VIC and surrounding wheat fields, wineries and towns. Happy New Year. Angie and Michael

Everything was perfect.

It has great facilities for families! The pool was an excellent size for children with a safe enough depth. My children played for 2~3 hours! There is a main 1M depth pool, 2 spa pools, and a paddle pool. Also, there is a gaming room, gym and an indoor court. The room was clean and very comfortable, and I like to open the window for fresh air because 4 people sleeping in one room can make stuffy air. The bathroom had a drying line, which was great for drying wet swimming suits. We had a dinner in the restaurant. The meal was good, and the playground next to our table was so good; it was great for us. It is fantastic accommodation for families.

This is my go to accomodation in Ballarat. It’s always very comfy and clean and the staff are the friendliest I’ve even encountered. They are always willing to go above and beyond. The restaurant is lovely, we had room service during our stay and it was fantastic. The pool is lovely and so nice to relax in when it is quiet.

The pool does get a bit over crowded as it is probably a bit small in comparison to how many guests are usually at the accomodation. However if you do get to the pool when it is quiet it is amazing. The cocktail I got for room service was terrible.

Fantastic location, very close to shops and attractions. Super comfortable beds, great air con / heater, and the kids loved the pool and spas which were a perfect temperature. There is also an indoor tennis court, gym, table tennis, pool tables and a Sauna. The on-site restaurant had excellent food, with great options for kids and included a playground. Would definitely stay again. We loved it!

Nothing really - One little thing that's probably more our fault than theirs - we couldn't get a booking in the restaurant on the first night as they were booked out. I would suggest booking early.
