We were travelling in the area and needed last minute accommodation. The booking site gave a number of options. We chose the cheapest. Arrived at the premises before the online booking showed up on the hotel's system! The staff member, Roco(?) was very pleasant. Once confirmed we were shown to our two rooms and had the facilities pointed out. We ate at the hotel, upstairs on the veranda. The food was delicious and service friendly and organised. The beds in the twin & double rooms were comfortable. Location was right in the town centre.

There was no problem at all, however I can imagine some guests might find the historical building and facilities not as modern as they prefer or expect. I call it "character" and loved the rustic ambience!

We liked the friendly staff who were happy to help with requests such as extra blankets. Loved the live music in the bar. Everyone was singing along and dancing. The food was delicious.

A bigger sink in the ladies toilet. Thought the little one was vey retro. A safe electric wall heater in the room. I was worried our bedding could fall on the fan heater. More power points in the room. The one PowerPoint had 2 power boards operating from it. It didn’t look very safe.

I liked the fact staff asked if I needed help with luggage That assisted with meals and adapted to eating Arriving and checking out times started too Very nice for what I needed bed was very comfortable Enjoyed night light to use, and had good heating znd overall lighting too Meals very nice and had a good range

The car parking area Toilet and shower weren't sure when someone was using these Only one toilet had a light working though adapted

It was a great place the staff were great, the food was great, prices were ok, nice looking building in and out,great location,nice size room, very large,loved it.Had a great time at the bar,met a few nice people, had a blast.

Would off liked to check-inn earlyer but was closed until mid afternoon,Would of liked a aircon in room,it was a very hot day,and when we tried to sleep with window open, could hear the coolroom conpressor ,so had to close window,but Over-all was a great stay.Room was very nice.

Great location, apartment very spacious, comfortable bed. Food at pub was very nice, and staff very friendly. It's an old hotel, so don't expect modern bathroom...but it was clean and well organised.

We hadn't thought about the fact that the music from the pub would be booming til midnight. Our fault, not theirs...but it was still pretty annoying.

Central to town and easy to get around. Staff were lovely. Apartment was really spacious and clean. We were warm. Yea, coffee and sugar provided but no milk. Microwave and a fridge in room.

Apartment is right over main bar so when a band is playing or on weekend it is very noisy in the room. Quietens off around 11pm- 12am. So if you have a kids maybe not the room for you.

Simply Wonderful: A genuinely warm greeting welcoming us on arrival. After check in we enjoyed a last minute dinner booking, a cosy, delicious, dinner & drinks in the front bar with a warmly, talented jazz guitarist playing in the back ground. Locals and visitors enjoyed the two fireplaces on during dinner and it all made our ‘one room with King bed & shared amenities’, simple family adventure, pub-stay a brilliant, super cheap, gorgeous old heritage building, last minute stay away, simply fantastic. Cold outside, warm inside due to friendly staff advice on arrival to turn on the heater and toasty-warm electric blankets in our room. A look from the Balcony outside our upstairs window gave us a lovely sunset too. Simple shared bathrooms, that you just need socks or slippers for in the cold weather, were clean and nostalgic. It’s been the Queens birthday weekend here, so how gorgeous it was seeing the Hotels’ massive printed correspondence from Queen Elizabeth her self, a 2013 acknowledgement of the Hotel’s centennial birthday 🎂. A perfect night and stay, thanks to all the staff.

Forgot to check, but there was no tv in the bed room, not a bad thing for me but family would have liked it.

Staff were very good & welcoming. Room met all expectations - clean, comfortable & warm. Dining facilities were lovely and the food was great.

Lot of stairs, obsolete bathroom Too small bed side tables and no armchair or chair in the corner , enough space for it and not for rubbish bin

I was on the ground floor and late at night it was really noisy I couldn’t pin point the noise I put it down to maybe the spa bath was being used upstairs whatever it was it lasted a good couple of hours. It happened only on the first night.
