The receptionist was lovely and extremely helpful. We had been there before and found her exceptionally welcoming on both occasions.

We had breakfast in the restaurant on our first morning only. It was more expensive than equivalent meals in Torquay and was served cold or lukewarm at best. They had obviously been sitting for some time before being served. It was eatable, although disappointing for the $24 each breakfast cost. It basically put us off having breakfast there on the following 3 mornings. I will add the waitress was very apologetic and offered to make both of them again but we declined as we had run out of time and had to leave to meet our appointments.

The lift wasn’t working to our unit and advised to use the stairs instead REALLY Strange smell emanating from the drains A lot of fluffy dust on surfaces Long black hair folded into the clean towel. Eating facilities at the property were either closed or not open after 5pm, which we were not advised about until after we had booked and paid

Love the location, the facilities and Netflix is fantastic. The beds super comfortable and the shower is amazing. When we arrived which was dinner time the staff said if we hadn’t had dinner yet that the restaurant was open for service. We declined as we didn’t like our experience last time they explained that they had a new chef since our last visit and that we might be pleasantly surprised. So we gave it a go and so glad we did the food was delish the service was friendly. We would now happily eat there and recommend it to others. Upon leaving staff asked where we were off to next we explained that we thought we may visit some of the local wineries on the way home. The staff said that the sands was floating the idea of a winery tour from the hotel. We thought that it was a brilliant idea. If the sands decides to offer this in the future please let us know!

Everything was great

Friendly, helpful staff and absolutely amazing facilities (huge gym with every possible piece of equipment and 25m heated indoor pool), restaurant serving breakfast and dinner. Clean, tidy and large rooms. Plenty of parking.

The walls / door were super thin, it meant we heard every single person coming and going into their rooms, at one point I even heard the room above us clearly use the toilet. We stayed at the same time as quite a few friends (for a wedding), we all paid the same price for our rooms but some rooms were randomly allocated golf course facing rooms while others were allocated car park facing rooms. Those unlucky enough to face the car park had constant lights shining into their room (in between the blinds), additional noise and less privacy.

Everyone was friendly and down to earth - from the front desk to the Golf Shop to the restaurant. Meals at the restaurant (Bunkers) were really enjoyable. No in room dining, however you're able to order your meal +drinks and take it back to your room. Generous sized room. TV w/ Netflix, Stan, Kayo, Disney+ apps in addition to Foxtel and Free to Air. Good gym facilities. Overall, would happily stay again.

A small thing really - pool is also used for swimming lessons so during this time there is only 1 lane available (out of 3) for non lap, recreation swimming. Swim outside of lesson time and this isn't an issue.

From check in staff lovely to the young lass in the gym he was super keen to help & show us around the gym(unfortunately I have just had back surgery so did not use pool or gym) Our room was fresh modern clean, coastal feel , didn’t use balcony due to rain and cold, the shower grout has a small amount of mould that could be easily cleaned with steam or bleach & a small amount of dust on light fixtures I get hayfever & noticed no one else would over all our one night stay was lovely ☺️

I see you’ve used lighting in corridors as a feature however some beautiful golf ⛳️ range photography or even beach shots along the walls would elevate the corridors ☺️

Having to move rooms late at night due to the horrible humming/ vibrating noise in room 123. Hope the management rectify this.before letting it again. Hats off to Tatania the night receptionist who came up, listened, agreed it was unacceptable and within 20 minutes had prepared another room and moved us. Top-class customer service from Tatania. Food in the restaurant Saturday evening was ordinary, it appeared to be pre-prepared, warmed-up with a few added garnishes- hardly home- cooked as advertised.

The staff were the standout of the property. So friendly and always with a genuine smile and willingness to help. The beds were amazing and the grounds and view from our room were divine.. We used the tennis and basketball court every day and loved the breakfast and restaurant too.

There is nothing that we didn’t like. Perhaps a table tennis or pool table for indoor play when the weather isn’t so kind; is the only suggestion I can think of.

Misrepresentation of the room. It stated a balcony, however I was on ground that didn’t have a balcony but a sliding door that opened up onto a paved area with 2 chairs with the carpark as the view. I didn’t feel safe to leave the door open as anyone can access. I asked for a room with a balcony but was told they were full. I would definitely stay again, but I will be more specific about my room request.

The staff went over and above and were incredibly friendly and helpful. There was a mixup when I arrived so I was upgraded and stayed in a beautiful suite. Everybody was so friendly and helpful and Mark, who works at the golf course, took me on a tour in the morning to see kangaroos! The pillows was so comfortable which is quite rare in hotels these days! That is a stunning walk to do along the beach. The salty sea dog is a Fantastic Café full of happy dogs and it absolutely made my morning .

I wish hotels would not turn on the air-conditioning before your arrival. The room was really cold and I hate air conditioning, especially when it is absolutely not needed.. It's also a shocking waste of energy with climate change on our doorstep and Australia being threatened with fires. The last thing we need is energy being used when people aren't even in their rooms. It is a terrible policy to waste energy this way.
