This is our second stay at Gardenview and we were very happy with the facilities. The breakfast included in the price is definitely value for money. It is a little further from the shops than some of the motels but we prefer the space around the property so it suits us perfectly. We found it very quiet. Chemist Warehouse is across the road which is very handy if you have forgotten something (as we did!). All in all we would certainly recommend Gardenview to others.

There were guests who were drinking from bottles and smoking in the pool area which was not very pleasant or safe. There needs to be some signage regarding rules when using the pool. Think we would choose another room next time as the villas get quite hot (they have aircon but this takes a while to kick in on really hot days).

Excellent value for money. Complimentary breakfast with some reasonably healthy options, eg grain bread for toast. Pleasant breakfast room. Only 5 min drive from city centre. Front and rear entry to my room with seating at each door. The cemetery over the road well worth a visit - grab the self guided walk brochure, and your hat, and go for a stroll!

Bathroom old fashioned and poky, but still functional and remember the excellent value for money. Perhaps a bit of a lack of shade, but heavy curtains prevented the room from heating up during the day.

Very cheap room, very clean, the bed was comfortable and had a blanket as well as a quilt and throw. The towels were soft and fluffy there seemed to be a plentiful supply of hot water and there was a hairdryer. The room had a heater and an air conditioner jug, fridge and microwave. There was a light breakfast offered but we decided to splurge and go to a cafe instead. Good place to stay if you are on a budget.

For such a cheap room there was nothing to complain about,one of the windows wouldn't lock, bathroom very basic but genuine retro cute, wifi seemed a tad slow I didn't persist as we were tired and needed sleep.

Nice cabin with kitchenette, which is great so you don't have to go out & buy every meal. Basic breakfast provided, which was much appreciated (toast/cereal/fruit). Comfortable bed and a nice sized bathroom. Car space right next to cabin. Not a bad location on the edge of town. The cemetery close by was interesting to visit - some very old graves there.

Waited a while to check out (they were on a personal phone call), we were just left standing there. And for goodness sake - don't even think of taking more than ONE complimentary lolly (Mentos) that are on the desk. When I grabbed some (maybe 3 all up, as it was going to be a 3 hour drive ahead of me), I was glared at like I was stealing from the collection plate at church! I put them back after receiving the 'death stare'!

We had a budget room so not unexpectedly it was old and tired, particularly the bathroom, but it was exceptionally clean. The room had a good fridge, microwave, tv, crockery and cutlery etc and an efficient, quiet air conditioner. The bed was comfortable with crisp, fresh linen. The free continental breakfast was great. The garden and surroundings make for a pleasant and relaxing stay.

The bathroom could do with a makeover - even a new hand-basin and mirror would give a better impression.

The staff (Sharon, Cathy, Kaylene) were friendly and very accommodating.💜💜 The Continental breakfast was a bonus, definitely value for money. Wifi was excellent.

The rooms and bathrooms (Rooms 17,18,19) were old and outdated but they were functional and clean. We understand they have newer units on the property. The location is away from the town centre with limited eateries within walking distance, so transport is needed or plan ahead.

The room was small but comfortable, bathroom very small but ok, hot water a bit low on flow and pressure and at one stage it went very cold (maybe due to another guest opening the hot water tap in their unit. Breakfast was excellent however dinning room cold due to heater not working correctly. Good location lots of space.

My friend and I recently stayed on our way to Tasmania from Queensland and we're so glad we did. What a beautiful place. We stayed in the executive cabin and we were so impressed with everything. The surroundings are stunning. The cabin was so clean and comfortable. We both really loved the fact that we had 4 pillows on our bed's and they were all different, from squishy all the way to firm. We had a perfect night's sleep thanks to that little detail of thoughtfulness. We have been telling everyone how impressed we were by Garden View Wangaratta. The only regret we have is that we only got to spend one night there. Do yourself a favour and check this place out. It really is very lovely 😍

The accomodation was beautiful and clean , the beds were super comfy . The staff were so lovely and accomodating, although there’s not much to do in Wangaratta we did a lot of days trips to wineries and cheese factory . The pool was cleaned every morning so it was nice to go in for a quick dip

We did not use the BBQ area as we had taken our own but it looked like it needed som TLC .

My 'room' at this motel was a self-contained stand alone cabin with parking right at my door. It had everything I needed for a comfortable stay and was in a very quiet location down the Melbourne end of Wangaratta. Being hot summer weather, I enjoyed a cool off in the pool and also appreciated the air-con which quickly cooled down a hot room. I especially liked the white bed linen as well as white crockery which gave the room a very fresh feel.

There were some minor cosmetic defects in the room/fittings but they did not prevent me enjoying my stay here and would not put me off staying here again.
