Our stay was EXCEPTIONAL! It exceeded all of our expectations; from the staff, to the room, to the view - it was all far beyond amazing. Ferenz and Lukas were so incredibly helpful when it came to every aspect of our stay. They helped us carry our luggage, provided us with treats from the bakery downstairs and were overall very welcoming and made us feel like family. The room was very spacious; the front bedroom had a cute balcony overlooking the front streets and was a great place to sit out in the morning with a cup of coffee before all of the tourist charter busses arrived late morning. The back bedroom window looked down on a stream running between the buildings; really relaxing to fall asleep to! Kitchen was stocked with some coffee and tea which was a nice touch. Would recommend staying here if you are interested at all in visiting Hallstatt; it is well-located and very authentic! The amazing staff are just the cherry on top of all the existing wonderful amenities.

The only small detail that the staff did not make us previously aware of before arriving was where to park our car. We drove in from Munich and when we arrived to Hallstatt, the road our GPS told us to turn up to get to the hotel was blocked off. Apparently only shuttle vans are allowed thru - the main road is incredibly busy and we did not know where to park our car. For anyone driving in, you can purchase a parking pass for Lot 1 and a Hallstatt shuttle van will pick you up in the front of the parking lot and drive you up the hill. Our shuttle driver was also incredibly friendly!

It is a place with heritage, cosy, warm and peaceful. Our room was spacious for three of us and with a great view of the lake, next door to the ferry and straight in the centre of Hallstatt. The host is brilliant, very friendly and accommodating, we had everything we needed. Great place in a great location. Many thanks

We wish we stayed longer

-Excellent location: 5 min walk from the ferry station and very easy to find; also just behind the town center and about 15 min walk to the salt mine funicular station. Basically close to everywhere we’d love to visit; -Franz is so kind and helpful that offered us all the info. we needed and helped us carry the luggages up/downstairs; -I had been a bit concerned about the shared bathroom before checking in, but it worked super well that not for a single instant I felt disturbed or upset, besides the bathroom has been clean all the time just like no one has ever used; -Wonderful balcony view and beautifully decorated rooms; -Quiet at night so that we had a very good rest.

We had a lovely stay at Pension Leopoldine. Even from before we arrived, they were really responsive and answered all of our questions. The staff were very helpful when we arrived. We were given a map of Hallstatt and recommendations for restaurants and things to do. They also insisted on helping to carry our (very heavy) suitcases up the stairs to our room which we very much appreciated. The room itself was really nice and comfortable. Would definitely recommend! The accommodation is centrally located and close to the ferry wharf and all tourist sites which made it very convenient.

Easy to find, the owners are very helpful and friendly Very very clean bathroom. Had a pretty high quality sleep with barely any noise at night.

There was a bit of strange smell at the top floor Light was a bit dimmed Price a bit high but considering everything is a bit overpriced in Hallstatt it is reasonable. Everything else is perfect

The location is EXCELLENT and Leopoldine is relatively affordable. They were up front to expect steep stairs to walk up - but management helped us up to our room. Bathrooms shared, but management was thoughtful about booking rooms so that we ended up with the floor (and bathrooms) to ourselves! View from our balcony was incredible. Management was not communicative prior to our arrival, but as soon as we arrived in town, there were signs to P1 & P2 parking, and the lots were well marked to help us call for the hotel shuttle, so don't worry about that ahead of time. Once we found the hotel, management was very friendly, helpful and welcoming. I would stay here again.

We stayed in a beautiful, spacious 2-bedroom apartment in the heart of a fairytale village, and it was an unforgettable experience. The highlight was definitely the balcony with its breathtaking view—we couldn't get enough of it! The apartment is tucked away from the main road, so we could enjoy the serene surroundings without any busy street noise. Waking up to a view of the mountains from one room and the soothing sound of the waterfall from the other was magical. Both bedrooms were large and very comfortable, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The staff were exceptional and went above and beyond to help with our bags, giving us great advice on where to go and how to get around Hallstatt. The kitchenette was a nice touch and came stocked with coffee and tea, which was very convenient. Overall, this apartment was worth the splurge for the views and comfort, and I'd recommend it for anyone looking for a peaceful and scenic stay in Hallstatt.

While Hallstatt is a popular destination and the apartment was on the expensive side compared to other places we stayed during our trip, it was absolutely worth it for one night. My only suggestion would be to include a simple breakfast, especially considering the price, as breakfast at the café could run as high as 25 euros. There are, however, plenty of nearby options for breakfast if you prefer to explore.

Clean, great location, good facilities and clean. The host was hospitable, accommodating, helpful and went out of his way to help us. He carried our luggage upstairs, let us use the dining room while we waited for our afternoon train, and even make us tea and coffee while we waited. And he made recommendations for meals even though he had a dining room.

Stairs are steep which is common in these places but there are hand rails, and the host takes your luggage. The beds are a bit firm for me but our friend found them very comfortable. So it’s horse for courses.

The Staff were amazing, we arrived very late to Hallstatt and they made sure to be there to welcome us and assist us with anything we might need even if it was long after check in hours. The Staff were always available for us, even via WhatsUp. The whole stay felt like being home, only in front of beautiful lake and surrounded by mountains. We difinetly recccoment this place for anyone who is looking for a Cosy and quiet place to stay. Thank you for your efforts, we appreciate you. Peace and Love 🤍

Nothing, everything was amazing, felt very authentic!

The location was great, a few minutes from the boats (with which you have to go to the train station) and just a few minutes from the main attractions, shops, restaurants, beautiful nature. The hotel rooms and internal space are cozy, traditional and welcoming. Super helpful and friendly staff.

1)Shared bathroom. However, it was ok for a short stay and there are several bathrooms on each floor. 2) the stairs but almost every hotel in Halstatt is like that, because they are old buildings. The staff are super friendly and helped me with my suitcase.
