The room was really nicely done and romantic, the terrace had an incredible view at the lake and mountains around
The staff was absolutely uncoordinated and rude, I have not seen anything like this in a hotel for a long time. Incredible. You need to breath really deeply o overcome this and shield yourself with a patience. The breakfast was really poor and if you come at 9am do not expect the tables around you to be clean any more. BTW: you'll also be asked by a waiter to be patient because you are in the 4 star restaurant and they need some time to serve you... :-) My Got!

Fabulous reception staff - we were unfortunately left stranded at a nearby train station on the day of arrival but a quick call to the hotel reception saw them sending a taxi within 15 minutes. Given we were sort of in the middle of nowhere this was much appreciated. Staff have been ever so helpful throughout our stay - helping us with reservation at the hotel restaurant, sorting out a pre packed breakfast on our departure day etc - nothing was too much trouble. The location is smack bang in the middle of the Marktplatz - the ferry is less than a minute away and the iconic photograph spot is just a 5 minutes walk.
The mattress on the bed in my room (104) appeared to be somewhat lopsided.. I’m unsure as why that’s the case but I felt like I was sleeping tilted on one side.

Incredible location and a beautiful room. The balcony from the room had such amazing views. The room was fitted out well and very comfortable and large. Good mix of old world charm and modern conveniences. The restaurant for lunch was good as well
Breakfast wasn't up to scratch for a hotel of this quality and price. Staff were good, but lacked any real warmth or friendliness (for example, we were almost refused entry to breakfast because time was tight even though we got there 40 minutes before it was meant to close, and when we came to check in at 2pm the first thing the man said to us was "check in opens at 3" rather than welcoming us, taking our bags, and suggesting we go check out the town for an hour before coming back to check in)

There's no better place to stay in Hallstatt other than Seehotel. We booked the room with lake view and a balcony that I could just live there. It felt like I was on a fairy tale. Very comfortable bed (not too soft), the bathroom, amenities and bathtub were also great. The room also had mini bar, nespresso machine and tea bags. The Breakfast has many and very good options. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant and the food was good (but nothing especial).
The breakfast was very crowded and staff kind of lost with such agitation (it seemed to me that people that were not guest at the hotel also had the option to have breakfest there); Hot bevarages were prepared by the hotel staff and it took me some time to get a capuccino since the staff was not well prepared for the amount of people; The hotel common area is also open to non guests, hence the bathroom next to the restaurante was dirty the one time I used it; It did not feel very safe that non guests could enter the common areas with no restriction, specially considering the reception allows the guest to leave their luggages there but there has some especif times with no one in the front desk.

Hotel is located just off main square with a lovely view of the square. Excellent restaurant for evening meals overlooking the lake. Friendly staff. Within walking distance of parking on edge of town (15 min). Good because free shuttle only goes every 30 minutes.
Breakfast was good but not well laid out for how crowded it was (difficult to navigate with number of people and only open two hours). Biggest issue was noise. Ironically locals complain about over tourism but the accordion music and drunk locals singing in German unto 1 am on the square at the top of their lungs was not conducive to sleeping—and you need the windows open to sleep in the warmer months. Recommend seeing if you can get a room facing away from the square (despite the great view!) unless it’s winter.

Location at the center, quiet, jar of water offered, it has everything you need - toiletries & accessories for a boutique hotel ( except that you bring your own toothpaste as the dental kit comes with a very small tube (which i don’t expect the hotel to provide toothpaste all throughout my stay, there is a robe & slippers and most importantly a very clean bath tub for a hot salt bath (salt crystals provided by hotel - lush!) There is also a restaurant in the hotel which serves until 9/10pm with very friendly staff and stunning service, plus overlooking the lake.
I can smell a bit of dust from the carpets from the living room outside my room and the room is hot, there is a fan provided but it would be better if heating is lowered a little so customers are more comfortable and satisfied.

It was a magical town and having our balcony and view made it even more magical. The room was exactly what I was hoping for; beautifully appointed, small extra amenities, too many to list. Your wait staff for dinner down by the water were exceptional; very welcoming, kind, and very engaging. We observed their professionalism even though they were extremely busy. The breakfast was perfect and the waitstaff working was the same man that worked the large party the night before. He was so pleasant and he was managing every thing himself a little after 8 am.
The receptionist upon arrival could not have been any colder; no welcoming greeting, no smile, was curt and dismissive. She made us think it was going to be a bad experience altogether BUT the rest of the desk staff and wait staff were excellent and removed that thought immediately.

The views at the property were unbeatable!! We were able to walk out on our back patio and see the lake and all of the gorgeous views of the Alps (the reason you visit Hallstatt)! Our room was comfortable and the staff were super accommodating and allowed us to leave our luggage to adhere to the strict checkin/checkout time. Definitely a prime location in Hallstatt!
We had an issue with our shower and it looked like a pipe or water issue in the ceiling. We weren’t able to utilize the overhead shower unfortunately, but thankfully they had a handheld option. Nothing that impacted our stay greatly.

We loved staying at this hotel. It has the perfect location. It is very stylish, yet gives a rustic feeling. The room was large and the view divine! Lunch at the restaurant was excellent. Our waiter, Daniel, offered wine advice and his attention was professional and appreciated. The front desk staff were very informative and friendly. Breakfast was also exceptional. If you have the good fortune to be able to reserve a room at this hotel, it is the very best place to stay in Hallstatt.
Small detail - lighting in the room could have been a bit brighter - at least next to the bed for reading.

The town is beautiful, but parking to get into the town is crazy! The woman at the front desk was very nice and helpful. The room was on the 4th floor and the elevator only goes to the 3rd floor, so we had to walk our luggage up one level--not a problem for us, but would be for those with mobility issues. The room was adorable and the view out of the window was priceless! The view from the deck on the lake is stunning!
The staff at the outdoor and indoor restaurant were not the nicest. The outside deck was closed because of severe weather, so everyone was relocated to the inside restaurant. They seemed to be very overwhelmed and you could hear and see their frustration.
