Very friendly owners, I was able to check in early and leave my bags on the last day, as I went snowboarding one more time. The breakfast was great. The coffee from the machine was tasty (not often the case in my experience) and I liked that they offered the local newspaper to read which made a more local experience for me. The location is very nice and quiet, and the views from the balcony were suberb. Would come back for sure.

The single room I had was decorated rather economical. Everything was fine, just a little less charm than I had expected, from having stayed in other places in Tyrol. Overall very good value for money.

Sonnenhof was easy to get to via bus from the Innsbruck train station. The room was lovely. Spacious enough, very nice balcony with chairs and a beautiful scenic view of the mountains. The man at the front desk spoke English, and was very kind and helpful regarding questions about the area. There were travel guides in multiple languages in the foyer as well. When we asked about feasibility of us doing the breakfast onsite given that we have allergy restrictions (gluten free), he said they could accommodate and the following morning remembered to bring out bread/other gluten free items for us. There were also plenty of other items we could eat at the buffet and it was delicious. Would stay here again!

Location is perfect. I spent so much time thinking if we should stay in the city centre or in Igls. So happy I spent our first 3 days in Igls. Breathtaking view - cannot exaggerate that enough. Snow-capped mountain almost 360 degrees. It's a shame our room is facing the only mountain without the snow 😅 but I understand that as it was a late booking. I imagine all the other rooms were already booked, if you are booking early make sure to request for the room not facing the front of the hotel if you want to see the majestic snow-capped mountains on your balcony. Hotel walking distance from spar (though closed on our whole stay in Igls - bad planning from my part). Would have been very convenient as there's a kitchenette in our room with complete basic amenities for cooking. Other reviews were correct, hotel dated but cannot fault the cleanliness. In other dated accommodations I felt I cannot use anything as feels dirty but not with this hotel. 5 min walk (or less) to bus J or 590 which takes you to city centre <->Patscherkofel. Bus rides take you to a free sightseeing tour, very excited whenever riding the bus. Coffee machine in the room which is a big plus for me.

Wished I had more time to just sit down in the balcony with my wine which I bought from the city centre. Too much places to visit too little time.

The room was excellent! A proper one bedroom apartment. A kitchen with little cooktop and appliances, and a seperate lounge/dining room. Lots of windows to enjoy the magnificent mountains, and a wrap around balcony. Location was excellent. Nice and quiet in a nice little village, yet a close walk to the bus which takes about 10 minutes to the centre of Innsbruck and back. Catch the 'J' bus there and back. You can also walk to the tram, but I didnt catch that, but its a really nice little walk. On recommendation I had dinner at the Austrian restaurant. It was really good and the waiter was very kind and happy. What a lovely little town. I love Igls!

Only thing was the bathroom sliding door was really hard to slide, but thats just a small maintenance issue.

Good size apartment in characterful building with excellent views of the mountains on two sides. Good wifi, kitchenette. Located close to bus route between central Innsbruck and ski-lift. Igls is a pretty village, not geared for mass-tourism therefore limited facilities. Good walking routes for non-skiers, and Innsbruck is 10 mins by bus/tram. Apartment is off the main road, so very quiet and relaxing. Owner very welcoming and accommodating.

What a wonderful place to stay! Location was well off the main road, so nice and quiet, but an easy walk to the bus to Innsbruck. The room was pleasantly furnished with a spacious balcony and gorgeous farmland and Mountain View’s. The host was very pleasant and helpful. I just wish I could have stayed longer!

Room 21 was fabulous! We had a great view of Patscherkofel mountain. Because of the great deck and cover the room and deck was comfortable and cool for an evening drink and view of the mountains. We received a nice bonus for free bus ride and touring of adjacent mountains, we went to Axamer-Lizel and rode the funicular to the top. The kitchen allowed us to brew coffee and cook meals to fit our unique diet, but we still had to try the excellent breakfast one day - it was great. Thomas took care of everything we asked for and provided us excellent recommendations for local restaurants.

I cannot think of anything that was less than excellent.

I liked it all! Nice staff, good breakfast, comfy beds. Nice location and a beautiful view of the mountains.

Only thing I did not enjoy was that our balcony was right above the enterence, where people were smoking. But it was a minor thing.

Very beautiful and well maintained property. Check in on time and very responsive reception. They informed us on what to see in Innsbruck.

The only downside of the apartment was the bathroom didn’t have a lock. Otherwise everything was very clean and had all facilities. All equipment was functional

-Good location: the place is easy to get to even with public transit. The bus stop to and from Innsbruck is just a 5-7 mins walk away. It is also located in a very quiet part of the town, with no one across from them. There are walking paths right from the door. -There is a room equipped to warm up your ski boots after a long day of skiing, and beside it an area to keep your skis. -The room with a kitchenette is a very nice size, with a nice view, and a big balcony. -The host was very responsive.

-They say it's a pet-friendly hotel, but the fee for a dog is very high! We paid 12 euros per day! -If you want to go cross country skiing in Seefeld, the host can upload the ski pass right unto your welcome card (that you get if you stay more than 2 nights) to make things easier for payment .We only found that out after the fact though. -If you're intending to cook (the reason why i booked the room with the kitchenette) , bring your own sharp knife. They had two available but they were both bread knives.
