April 2023

I spent a long time searching for a hotel in Brussels and read many reviews. I chose the hotel based on its location and good reviews, and it exceeded my expectations. I had a night flight and arrived early in the morning, tired from the journey. I went to the hotel to drop off my luggage and grab something to eat. However, I was pleasantly surprised at the reception when they said they would check if my room was already available and cleaned, and would let me check in early. And I got lucky! They checked me in before the official check-in time, for which I am very grateful to the hotel staff. What I also like there: - The beautiful and cozy building both inside and outside, the clean rooms, and the great location. - Public transport stops were within walking distance in all directions - metro, tram, and bus. - The bed was large and comfortable, and the room was cleaned every day. - The breakfast was delicious and fresh. Thank you for the excellent service. I am ready to stay here again.

Everything is ok for me.

I had a lovely room. I landed on Charleroi airport and took Flibco bus to Midi Zuid Station for approximately 55minutes. The hotel is not far away from Midi Zuid station. On the first day to reach the hotel i took Uber from Midi Zuid Station and paid below the 20EURO. Then I came to know there is a metro station at Midi Zuid station as well from where I could take a metro to a stop nearby the hotel, however i didnt tried it out as I had kids with me. The staff was nice, especially the receptionists. Room was clean and they cleaned it daily. Most of the visiting stuff is also not so far away from the City Centre for example the royal palace, grand place and all. Very easy to figure out with navigation or if you ask people passing by they will explain you the routes. 15 20 minutes distance sometimes sounds a lot but trust me when you are exploring these minutes look nothing and you enjoy! Thank you Hotel Du Congres!

Fabulous hotel, so clean, very pretty terrace gardens. Extremely nice staff, all of them. Loved the location, it's a 10 minute walk to the area of Grand Place. 20 minutes to all the main shopping. There is an excellent Thai Restaurant called Better Than Hungry only 50m away as well as a small square with bars and restaurants. Carrefour Express a 5 minute walk. Everything you need is close by, its worth wandering the streets around the hotel to find bars and restaurants.

They refused to take my payment for breakfast when I mentioned the buffet was cleared away too early. Good value breakfast considering what you would pay on the street for a decent coffee and pastry.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. It was easy to find from the nearest metro station and all of the staff very friendly. My room (a single) was very spacious (including the bathroom).

The room and building was a little too loud. I know it is an old building, but I could hear the guest above and beside me. If you are staying on the right handside of building, I would have expected the external door to have had an additional lock for extra peace of mind. Breakfast was great, but I did find it a little dear.

The staff was helpful and friendly, I arrived before the check-in and they held my backpack for me. They also did this after I checked-out as I couldn't carry my backpack with me. The room was small but had everything I needed (including a decaf instant coffee which was a massive win, as a decaf drinker!), and the bedsheet were soooo soft. The hotel was also in a great location, at walking distance from the city center (roughly 20 minutes). Finally, breakfast was also good and there were a lot of options!

The room was on the top floor (or in an attic) so when I first got there it was extremely hot and it wasn't equipped with an AC. It did have a fan which, luckily, did help cool down the room also after opening the window. The breakfast did have a lot of options but maybe not as many for vegans.

The hotel has a lift, 24 hour reception and breakfast starts at 6.00! that is very positive for travelers! It is situated on the hill in the center of Bruxels. Very soft bed, kettle with coffee and tea. The breakfast is rich, with different fruits, traditional yogurts (various), perfect bread, croissants and so on... Eggs you can boil as you want or take prepared, pancakes, sausages and potato pie..... Waiters bring coffee and whatever else you need. No need to get up and go get it during the meal. Tables are well set. The best option money-quality!

everything was nice!

Location was good. About 20 min walk to city centre. Parking just outside (on road), it felt safe and easy to pay for it. Breakfast was good, not a lot but enough to fill our needs. Staff was very polite, helpful and friendly. Room was comfortable and clean, not a lot of amenities (for those who like it). The room was very hot during the night even though the heaters were off. We left the windows opened on de second night and it was much better.

Nothing to complaint about. Everything was good and meet our needs

I have been guest of this hotel in the past on a business trip to Brussels and I had been really satisfied, so I decided to choose it again at the first opportunity. As I was really tired after an early morning wake up to catch my flight I asked for a quiet room and I got one in the dependance. The room was up to my expectations, clean, spacious, properly equipped, with good wifi coverage and, of course, quiet, allowing me to sleep comfortably without being annoyed by traffic and other guests. The hotel is very well kept and everything is in working order. Very helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast was good, I could find everything I wanted and coffee was much better than standard hotel black coffee. The location is perfect for business and leisure trips, the hotel is not far from the Cathedral and downtown Brussels, metro is within walking distance and there are many restaurants and shops nearby. Taking into account the price that I paid for the two nights, I can recommend this hotel and I will take it into account for my future trips.

I have nothing to complain about.

Nice, simple room (the hotel has larger, fancier rooms as well) in a pretty, not too gentrified, not too posh area. Good bars / bistros / restaurants around the corner. It was possible to open the window which is always a plus. The room had a great view and was quiet at night.

Two things the hotel could change in my opinion: The curtains don't fully close and the room faces east, so it gets really bright early in the morning. Sunshine in your face unless you'd sleep with the pillow towards the other end of the bed. this could easily be amended. Also the mattress is relatively hard, but that's of course a matter of taste.

Nice location with walking distance to metro and train stations as well as center and old town. Clean, spacious room. Good breakfast with probably something for everyone. Friendly and helpful staff.

It was around 22°C outside in the day and a few degrees colder during the night. Despite this, our room was uncomfortably warm with very bad air, which felt frustrating - no A/C in the room. Walls were like paper so we heard a bit too much from the corridor, doors slamming and people talking etc. Despite this, our stay was all in all good, great value for the money.
