I spent a long time searching for a hotel in Brussels and read many reviews. I chose the hotel based on its location and good reviews, and it exceeded my expectations. I had a night flight and arrived early in the morning, tired from the journey. I went to the hotel to drop off my luggage and grab something to eat. However, I was pleasantly surprised at the reception when they said they would check if my room was already available and cleaned, and would let me check in early. And I got lucky! They checked me in before the official check-in time, for which I am very grateful to the hotel staff. What I also like there: - The beautiful and cozy building both inside and outside, the clean rooms, and the great location. - Public transport stops were within walking distance in all directions - metro, tram, and bus. - The bed was large and comfortable, and the room was cleaned every day. - The breakfast was delicious and fresh. Thank you for the excellent service. I am ready to stay here again.

Everything is ok for me.

Location was good. About 20 min walk to city centre. Parking just outside (on road), it felt safe and easy to pay for it. Breakfast was good, not a lot but enough to fill our needs. Staff was very polite, helpful and friendly. Room was comfortable and clean, not a lot of amenities (for those who like it). The room was very hot during the night even though the heaters were off. We left the windows opened on de second night and it was much better.

I have been guest of this hotel in the past on a business trip to Brussels and I had been really satisfied, so I decided to choose it again at the first opportunity. As I was really tired after an early morning wake up to catch my flight I asked for a quiet room and I got one in the dependance. The room was up to my expectations, clean, spacious, properly equipped, with good wifi coverage and, of course, quiet, allowing me to sleep comfortably without being annoyed by traffic and other guests. The hotel is very well kept and everything is in working order. Very helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast was good, I could find everything I wanted and coffee was much better than standard hotel black coffee. The location is perfect for business and leisure trips, the hotel is not far from the Cathedral and downtown Brussels, metro is within walking distance and there are many restaurants and shops nearby. Taking into account the price that I paid for the two nights, I can recommend this hotel and I will take it into account for my future trips.

beautiful old building, lots of choice for breakfast, room was big and despite the roof window it had light and it was easy to open it in the morning to air the room and also to pull the screen across for darkness. bathroom had a bathtub , everything was clean and shiny. a kettle with tea, coffee, creamer is provided.

insulation of the rooms is not great, if there are noisy people you hear them. one of the concierges kept me waiting too long, after I asked a question he took a phone call and kept me waiting 10 minutes for an answer that he then gave me in 10 seconds! instead the people who serve breakfast are very nice, and all the other concierges.

The room was spacious. The central location, with a metro station nearby and a tram stop further away, was a huge plus for this stay. I was surprised that I didn't encounter any noise complaints. The staff at the reception were very friendly and responded to all of my inquiries, ex. heating my food and keeping my luggage after I checked out.

The bathroom was a little smaller than expected, but not a big issue. It would've been nice if the room had a proper wardrobe, a coffee/tea machine, and a fridge. Thankfully, I was able to store my food in the fridge at the reception and had the possibility of heating it up in the kitchen.

The location is excellent. The room was very small but well-organized in a very minimalist design still very functional. The breakfast was very good with very fresh and tasty food and juice. The coffee was very good too.

Without AC and a minibar in the room, at least an empty one for keeping cold water, I think 200 Eur/night (some nights), is far too much. It is true that perhaps I stayed there in the only 4 hot days of the year but it was unbearable hot! It was impossible to sleep. However, on summer days a room facing the street at this hotel, cannot be considered with more than two stars therefore the price should have been adapted.

Location is simply perfect. Close to metro lines, to downtown, to administrative buildings, malls, shopping streets, EU buildings, Gare du Nord, yet in a calm and totally safe area, surrounded by small restaurants. Not cheap at all but by local measure it seems to be of a reasonable price.

I really missed an electric kettle in the room and a small fridge would have been a huge plus. The only negative thing was that the walls are not really soundproof so sometimes you can hear your neighbor.

When we were checking out, they allowed us to keep the baggage while we were hanging out until our bus departure

❌️ Breakfasts are okay, nothing fancy. It definitely lacked in variety (eggs, small sausages, pancakes, croissants, veggies, milk with oatmeals), though the croissants were very tasty. Not a big deal for me and my GF though, it was good enough :)

I’m surprised by some of the bad reviews. I will make this my new go-to hotel in Brussels. Staff was friendly. Our room was lovely- high ceilings and period details. The location is excellent- a real local neighborhood but walking distance from the touristy center and train station. Breakfast looked good although we didn’t use it. The one thing is that there is a lot of variety among the rooms. Some have retained authentic 19th century decor and ceilings- others are bland modern renovations. If you like peace and quiet, the ones in the courtyard dependance might suit you. Oh and it definitely has an elevator.

Breakfast plentiful although not with healthy products properly. Clean and spacious rooms if you do not take those basics. Great location very close to the center that you can walk. Well connected by public transport.

The room is too warm, with heating that is not modern and that makes noise. The passage between the rooms and the breakfast room must necessarily be done through an outdoor passage that, especially in winter, is not pleasant. The basic rooms are too small I took a superior quality room.
