The property was less than a 10 minute walk to the centre of Ypres, the room we stayed in was above the garage with access via steep spiral stairs, this was not a problem for us but maybe an issue for less able people. The room was fully fitted out and would be best described as self catering as all the facilities were there with the room being serviced every day. Breakfast was downstairs in the main house with a superb selection for continental and English, Magda our wonderful hosts cooked bacon and eggs in a way that our son really enjoyed. Parking outside the B & B 6pm - 9am otherwise you can use a local car park.

nothing everything was perfect for our stay.

A great find only 10 minutes from the centre of Ypres. We enjoyed the fact it was separate to the main property and totally self contained with a well equipped small kitchen. It was clean with comfortable beds and instant hot water. The room we had was situated on the roof terrace and was great for enjoying a beer whilst appreciating the well cared for Garden. The host spoke good English and produced a wonderful array of food for breakfast. Yoghurts, lots of different fruits, cheeses, hams, breads, jams, pastries and also a cooked option. We had breakfast with another couple around a big kitchen table, it was a lovely homely atmosphere. Thank you very much, so glad we found this gem of a B&B and will definitely be recommending to our friends.

😀 for us as a family this stay worked very well. We couldn't find any faults with this property

Warm and welcoming host. We had room number 5 on the first floor, which had access to the roof terrace. Room decor was a little outdated, but this added to the charm and was in keeping with the period of the property. Bed was very comfortable but was not a double as stated on Booking.com but was 2 singles made into a double. Bathroom was not en-suite, and consisted of a separate toilet and shower room, although these were next to the room and solely for our use. Both rooms were on the landing next to the bedroom with a curtain for additional privacy. Shower room was large and even included a bathrobe. Facecloths also provided, which were appreciated & lovely toiletries. A kettle was provided with a good selection of teas & some cappuccion sachets. These were also on the landing. Fridge in the room was great & there was complimentary water & sweets! Information guide in the room was very helpful, including details of the last post ceremony held at 8pm each evening (get there early for a good view!) Breakfast was HUGE and we were even offered bacon and eggs!!

Bathroom not being en-suite. Towels a little threadbare. No coffee sachets

Very convenient for the centre of Ypres, comfortable room and there was a lovely selection of breakfast items including delicious bacon and eggs. The host/owner very kindly helped us when our car broke down in the main square which was then towed away to clear the square for the Saturday market. All ended well but we were thankful for the hosts help and her English speaking neighbour for their kind assistance 🙏

Very friendly host, welcoming g and informative. Allowed us to park bikes in garage but does charge €10 which we were happy to pay for secruity. Good breakfast with lots of choice. Nice well maintained garden if you want to chill in garden. Nice and quiet environment. Great location for city and walkable to menin gate. Would recommend and happy to stay again when next in Ypres.

Certain areas look tired and could do with a visible refresh. Our sink was cracked. However doesn’t take away the pleasure of staying here. Happy to recommend.

The property was easy to find and there was free parking just across the street. Location is excellent, just 5 min walk to centre of town. Room was compact, very clean, had tea and coffee facilities and a nice but small en-suite. Huge choice for buffet style continental breakfast in the kitchen on a table shared with other guests.

There was building work going on across the street which woke us at 6.30am and was quite intrusive. Nothing that Magda can do about this but worth checking if it’s still ongoing or request a room at the back.

The breakfast was amazing! So much choice!! Lovely gardens

The bedroom felt a little cluttered. It would have been better with 2 modern chairs at the small table in front of the mirror, which could be used for writing or as a dressing table. Remove the large wheeled wardrobe and replace with some hangers on hooks on walls. This would suffice for most travellers. Too many lillies (very overpowering) and a lot of cemetery pictures. Gave the whole building the air of an undertakers!

The property was beautifully kept, both the room we stayed in and the gardens that were available for all the guests to enjoy. The gardens were colourful and well maintained, obviously displaying the owners horticultural skills. The room was immaculate and had everything we could have possibly required. The breakfast was amazing!! A lot of choice and plenty for everyone. The guesthouse itself was clean, tidy and beautifully presented and only a short walk away from the centre of Ypres. We only had one night there but it was fantastic. The host was a lovely, friendly lady and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend a stay at this delightful guesthouse!!

Nothing. It was beautiful.

Room, breakfast ...in fact everything was exceptional. Location is also perfect, a very short distance away from the hustle and bustle of the centre of Ypres but an easy five to ten minute walk away. An added bonus, secure parking in Magda's garage for the motorcycle. The B&B is less than a minute (300 mtrs) from the Ramparts walk which is a nice route to take to the Menin Gate (Menenpoort). The service, each evening at 8pm, is something you should strive to attend.

Nothing.

Excellent location within the city ramparts and easy to navigate by car when locating the property. Just 10/15 min. walk to the centre and Menin Gate. Magda and her neighbour who helps with breakfast were very friendly and helpful. This is a true small B&B with breakfast in her kitchen and dining room. Unbelievable breakfast is provided from bacon/eggs to many pastries, cereals and breads and an array of meats and cheese and fruit and jams. Whilst we were just a couple the room did have a third bed but should warn that it is in a separate building up a metal staircase that may not be easy if you have any disability. There was good air con as well and good size bathroom and shower and all rooms overlook a well kept small garden. The area was very quiet and clean and the whole town was remarkably clean. Parking is available on the street and is free from 6pm to 9am and Magda will provide a blue disk that allows 2 hours free parking and you can park for free just outside the city ramparts nearby

The sink in the room was cracked
