We stayed one week in a Waterside appartement. the Appartement was fantastic, bed was very comfortable, very clean and Water-Gallon in the room was replaced as soon as empty. this makes it not only very convinient but also sustainable (avoiding extra plastic bottles which I think is very important in our days). The whole Team was very friendly and helpful (offered snorkel tours are not cheap but worth the price). The transfer from and to the airport was very well organized despite the fact that we arrived with an earlier flight, we didn't have to wait. Bikes were available at the resort, that was great. We really can recommend this resort if you are looking for a relaxing holliday and want to make nice snorkel tours. We would definitely stay there again!

next to the resort, a new resort is being built, thus a big construction area (but no noise during our stay).

We enjoyed the beautiful property, and the staff were all very friendly and always willing to help. Alex and Angel we dealt with frequently, and they were great.

I think that the noise complaints were too much. We were with 5 kids ranging in ages from 7-12, and we would explore the island during the day, and come back to swim at night, amd although we appreciate that we were allowed to stay in the pool, we were always told that our children were too loud even though we didn't feel as though they were. I understand that there are elderly residents who live there, but maybe that should be something that is communicated ahead of time.

The whole resort was amazing. The room's amenities were great with a water cooler, fully equipped kitchenette, fridge, and small toaster oven. Bathroom had plenty of towels and washclothes and shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Our hot water was out when we arrived and the staff fixed it while we were out on our excursions the next day. Comfy bed and living area with a pool towel provided which was a nice big size and house keeping came every other day. All the staff was amazing, accommodating, and nice. The pool and the dock on site for excursions are the selling point for this resort. The pool was plenty big with multiple places for shade or sun in the water and out of the water. The swim up bar had lots of drinks to pick from and food could be ordered to your room or the pool. Honestly its a dream.

The mosquitos were pretty bad at sunrise and sunset. We saw them spraying every day and I know its out of their control for mosquitos but they had these burning incents that worked really well at the pool bar but would only light them when asked. I wish they would just have them lit during sunset along the bar to keep the mosquitos away at sunset before having to ask for that to keep them away while eating or drinking.

They did not provide breakfast at the resort, however each unit is equipped with a small kitchen and we made rice and beans, egg and fresh fruit with Marie Sharp hot sauce every day and it was wonderful. The resort is very well taken care of, the employees are very pleasant, genuine, and helpful. It is part of a group of resorts, there is a larger resort (Coco Beach) just two resorts away with an easy walk from the beach. At Coco Beach they have a giant swimming pool with a slide and cliff jumping feature that is pretty awesome that we took advantage of as we were told it is ok to use their pool. The pool at Belizean Shores is also very nice, but the whole resort is smaller, therefore the pool is smaller. It is well maintained, the hot tub had a few issues while we were there but the staff quickly responded and the hot tub was repaired and it was nice to have the pool/hot tub with a swim up bar. There is also a tennis court/basketball court, ping pong, and bikes available for daily rent at Belizean Shores. And, the dock has an excellent dive/snorkeling adventure shop attached with one of the best outfits in the San Pedro area with kayaks available for daily use to take out into the bay and snorkel. As well, because Belizean Shores is about 3 miles north of San Pedro, it is closer to Secret Beach, and away from the hustle bustle of S.P. while also easily accessible by bike or golf cart.

The beds are a little stiff.

The first thing that stands out is the quality of the staff. From the entire front desk team, who are always welcoming, smiling and willing to help. To Alex at the swim up bar who is fun, always willing to make whatever you want and even give good suggestions. Staff is wonderful. The rooms are facing the water, and have amazing views. The room we had with a loft was great size, with a well stocked kitchen for making snacks and even meals if you wanted to. Beds are super comfortable. Overall, a great place to visit and launch your snorkeling and other excursions from.

The property is on sand (which is great), but having a broom or hand broom in the room would have been nice. Really need to have a golf cart (they rent them) to get anywhere. Would have been nice to be able to use the facilities at the sister property next door.

Loved the location! It is about midway between downtown San Pedro and Secret beach (20 minutes by golf cart). The pool was amazing! The staff was incredibly helpful and kind. Close to several restaurants if you don't want to drive anywhere.

The bed moved a lot, so I felt it every time my husband rolled over in the night. White curtains on the bedroom windows, so we definitely were up bright and early! It's about a 20 minute drive to San Pedro, which we didn't mind. We liked being a little bit away from the hustle and bustle, but for others that might be a negative.

Was very pleasantly surprised with almost everything about this place. The pool was grand and not crowded when we used it which made it even grander. There’s a cute coffee shop and great restaurant Tipsy Lobster) right across the street that was icing on the cake. Also, there’s a scuba/snorkel tour group available on their dock.

Two very minor issues ( just to prove I’m legit). The water pressure in the kitchen sink could have been stronger. Because the location is around a cut in the reef, the ocean in front gets a bit more churn and sea grass.

The place was amazing. The facilities were amazing. The staff were amazing. The pool was incredible. They had plenty of things to do there. We were never bored.

I was kind of far out of town. So it was a long golf cart ride into town. But that made it closer to secret beach and to the truck stop. Which were our favorite places to go. But it was still far from everything else.

Loved the room and location of resort. Room had full kitchen and living area, plus outside sitting. Room was clean and comfortable, staff was extremely friendly and always quick to respond. Resort was outside city but close to dining. Ride back to city or Secret Beach was easy. Excursion were right from the dock.

First time to Ambergris Caye and lots of seaweed, not the resorts fault. Wish the beach swimming area was better. Beach tanning and pool were great, but not Beach swimming

We couldn’t be more thankful and appreciative with our stay at Belizean Shores. The staff were more than willing with any request and made themselves known often so you never had to go searching. Kevin, the pool bar man was especially friendly and helpful as he made us the BEST cocktails with a smile and a good story or two! Check in was easy and at reception you can event rent all sports equipment for the facilities (tennis racquets, balls, ping pong bats & balls, basketballs, footballs). Boardgames and books were also available to rent for free from reception. You can ask rent paddle boards and kayaks from their facility on the dock (also free with your stay). The grounds were VERY well kept and maintained throughout the day. The apartment style rooms were large, SO CLEAN and cosy. There was AC in every room, the most comfortable beds, ground coffee with coffee machine, toiletries and several towels were also available in the room and housekeeping came every 2 days. We couldn’t of asked for a better resort and would certainly recommend the resort as a great place to hide away from the busier parts of the island (south).
