The Drift Inn is right behind the Sandbar which is right on the beach and the Palapas bar. The location is amazing. It's right in town yet the dorm room I stayed in was quiet. The dock to the south of the Palapas bar is a great place to watch the sunrise, swim from and even snorkel from. I saw eagle rays there several mornings and once even dolphins. The dorm beds each has their own light, an electrical outlet and have curtains around them which gives you excellent privacy. I was there 9 nights and most of the time the other guests were exceptionally considerate. Staff is friendly and incredibly helpful. They arrange tours every day, can arrange for golf carts, rent bikes and are a great source for local information. Coffee is ready every morning by 6:30-7 am. The kitchen is a great place to meet people and gather while eating the food you prepare yourself. There's a tiny pool at the drift in and the one at the Sandbar is a really nice place to sit and relax. You can walk to a lot of great places to eat, make your own or eat at the Sandbar. Their food is delicious and reasonably priced.

Somebody needs to eat the roosters next door. ;) Would be nice to have a sink in the room with the toilet in the dorm room to wash your hands.

I really like the bathroom and shower room. I also like the bedroom itself and thr fact that you can slide a door and hang out on the balcony.

Maybe the air conditioning should be available to turn on all night for hotel guest to be comfortable sleeping. Its availability for guest to turn it on stops around 8pm -- supposedly to conserve energy. The ceiling fan simply isn't powerful enough to cool body during some really humid nights. After that time, I had to slightly open the sliding door to the balcony so the wind can help cool the room. I only open it very slightly so cats won't potentially come in while I am sleeping.

The Drift Inn is a comfortable and cozy place. It has a great location - near to bars/restaurants and groceries, as well as a top notch doctor. Being centrally located in San Pedro, you could go north to Secret Beach, or south to Mahogany Bay Village in about the same time. The rooms are comfy and the AC works great! They have a neat little courtyard, dipping pool and a outdoor kitchen that can be used by the guests. A great stay!

Nothing really, it is more of a budget hotel, so don't expect the "foo-foo" amenities you'll find at 4- or 5-star hotels, but you are paying a fraction of the price - making a great value.

The location is great. It's close to the waterfront, restaurants, downtown and several Dive shops. It has a nice, secluded courtyard to hang out in. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms and common areas are kept clean and tidy. It's conveniently connected to the Sandbar Inn for dining and swimming. The Sandbar restaurant/bar has great food with lower prices than many other establishments in the area.

The common kitchen could use a remodeling and appliance upgrade.

An absolute gem of a hostel/inn. So many great aspects of this facility are noteworthy such as the location and accessibility of the property. The communication from staff was prompt and direct - and on point... better than anyone would get at a luxury hotel property. Speaking of staff - they are incredibly kind and helpful. I enjoyed being greeted as we passed each other. (This adds a little personal touch to the experience). The room (Jaguar) was spacious, roomy and comfortable. My family of 4 fit very comfortably; we didn't feel like we were crammed into a small room. The beds were all very comfortable. The linens were very soft and lite, and kept us very comfortable during the night. Bathroom was very spacious and allowed for 3 people to easily fit if all "appliances" i.e shower, toilet and sink were taken (I know, too much info - but such is life, especially when traveling with a family). Bath linens were aplenty. I liked the fact of shampoo and body wash - it was 2 less things for me to pack. An added bonus was the floor mats. I LOVED this little bit. The grounds were neat, clean and orderly. Felt very secure and safe - I can't stress this enough. Felt very safe. There is a safe in the room. Coffee maker. Sink and dorm fridge. The only to "be aware" of is the slope in the shower. It's a little steep and if you aren't expecting it, and you put a lot of weight and force on the initial step(foot), you might slip. Overall - a 5 star hostel which will be a repeat when we book for San Pedro again.

The location was great and the staff were friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed my time there. As a digital nomad, I was glad there was good wifi and a small table where I could work in my room, plus tables outside when I wanted a change.

My room was right next to the kitchen and outdoor gathering space, so I heard a lot of noise and always had to say “excuse me” to get past people to my door.

The staff and the cleanliness of the hotel were great! Our room was a good size, and had everything we needed. The air conditioning worked well. And the bikes we rented were in excellent condition.

It's not that I didn't like it, but I thought the room would be beachfront, or at least ocean view. But it wasn't. It faced the street. And the pool is small. It's more like the size of an American hotel hot tub. But it was cool and very clean.

The location is Great! You can walk out of Drift Inn through the Sandbar restaurant in front onto the beach. Toes in the sand was my goal, so I was pleasantly surprised at the location for walking. There are so many restaurants and docks for outdoor excursions right there at your doorstep. I particularly liked the all day snorkel trip that the Inn arranged for the guests. It was impressive and a good value for your money.

I stayed in the dorms and some guests were staying up very late, 1am talking loudly and eating in the room with their friends. The dorm room is inexpensive and some people can be inconsiderate. Also, I had to sweep a lot of the sand near my bed after housekeeping was there cleaning. I think the 🧹 sweeping can be more thorough for sand.

The location is nice if you want to be near the center. The staff members are friendly and helpful. The AC works great. Nice value for the money paid.

Beds could have been a little more comfortable. Newer towels that the ones give would have been nice also. However, these items are not big things to me.
