I have to admit that everything during my stay at this hotel was just perfect. From the breakfast, the smiles of the staff and the conversations about the historical heritage and social differences between my country and Bosnia, to the perfect location of the hotel! I would highly recommend Pansion Stari grad for a leisure or business trip! The grocery shop is just a few steps away from the pension and is located in the historical centre of the city. The tram stop is also only 50 metres from the Pansion. I borrowed a travel guide in English, which you can find in the lobby.

Hotel was easy to find - I'd been a bit worried trying to see it on Streetview. There is a car park in this location and the entrance is through the car park. Reception staff were amazingly helpful and friendly. Lots of information should you need to book trips. There was a lounge area by reception and they were happy to prepare coffee if you wanted. The building is old and put together - for first floor you walk up some stairs through a conservatory, and back into the building again (if access is a concern for you). The room was a good size, warm (in winter), and had a nice view of the mountainside and cable car. It was quiet and didn't hear or see anyone else during my stay. I paid in cash for the room (I believe it states this in info anyway) so you will need to change some money or bring euros. The bathroom was well equipped and modern, and excellent water pressure, but the steam didn't leave the room quickly despite an extractor, so it was damp for the couple of days I stayed. It was also a cold bathroom, but this was good for me to store drinks and some food on the windowsill in there to keep cool. Wifi was fine the whole stay, and the TV was well equipped with both Bosnian and English language channels. Bed was comfortable - seemed to be two singles together but I travelled alone so no problem. The reception desk is not 24h so you would need to arrange access if your flight is exceptionally early or late. Amazingly close to the old square so plenty of food options, bakery, and supermarkets close by. Lots of bus connections at the bottom of the street, but personally found taxis easier for airport.

No bad things that bothered me! I stayed at a cold time and the bathroom wasn't well designed for winter, but I cant imagine a problem at another time of year :)

Beautiful traditional style hotel in the heart of the old city. Food, tram stop, mosques and shopping all on the door step. Melhia the manager was fantastic and Emin on front desk were brilliant. They all gave us hints and tips on places to visit and things to do and recommended food places. The rooms are modern and breakfast was good.

Nothing, everything was awesome. My son and I were very well looked after and we have no complaints.

Great location very close to Baščaršija; many restaurants & shops nearby. Friendly staff. Room was simple but comfortable & good value. Bakery down the street "Pekara Edin" is a great spot to grab a burek for breakfast! The parking lot next door can be busy & yes there are many mosques nearby so you hear call to prayer--I sleep with earplugs & had no problems. Would definitely stay here again.

An extra hook (for towels) on the bathroom wall would be nice. I think the room may be remodeled so no fridge in my room, if you were expecting one. Neither of these are big problems though, the hotel is very good.

The hotel is literally 3 min away from the old city and the tram station. Lots of choices of restaurants, coffee shops nearby. The hotel is clean. Great for the price Worth. Meliha, the hotel manager is very nice and professional, she is attentive to the comfortable stay of the guests. If you are a solo Traveller or a couple, this is absolutely the place to stay with low budget but clean and close to everything hotel.

Brilliant room with dual aspect, one overlooking the city and mountains. Wonderfully well located near the main square (although it is not ideally situated for those with trouble walking as there are uneven pavements and steep steps). Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, even reserving tables in popular places for us.

The bathroom was slightly small.

I enjoyed my stay here. Wonderful staff, both the girl and young man at reception were super helpful and friendly. And good location too. Prior to this, my friend and I stayed at a 5 star hotel in the city centre, and this was our preferred location out of the two. I extended my stay.

It's not a very large hotel, so no grande facilities, but it's clean, cosy and the location is perfect, right in the old town.

I can strongly recommend the hotel. Service above the expectations, e.g., help with luggage, pre-warmed room, on-demand fresh tasty breakfast, help with mobile SIM card, help with currency exchange, free city map. Exceptional location and hotel staff. Great price. Waiting for visiting this hotel one more time!

The best location I could imagine, so close to the most beautiful part of the city. I must admit the personnel is very nice, one can have a good chat as the place isn't overcrowded. The breakfast was good and the interiors aren't generic, they say something about the culture of the country. I strongly recommend this place!

Wonderful helpful staff; location: view of minarets and mountains; great value for money.

Minor things— no towel racks, only one small wastebasket, a roll of paper towels instead of paper napkins/serviettes at breakfast. In general, while everything was comfortable and the price was a bargain , it's definitely not a luxury hotel..
