Very modern spotless clean rooms with a fancy modern design. The bathrooms are really comfy with big showers and everything you need. Staff is professional and friendly. The location couldn't be better, right next to the old city center and the tram and bus stops (including the one for the bus to the airport). The choice for breakfast is pretty big and you can take as much a you want. This is not the cheapest hotel in town, but you get what you pay for and I found it to be a nice and comfortable stay. The rooms are also isolated very well so you won't hear much of the outside city noises, such a the tram passing by. All in all a very good choice, I would stay here again.

The free coffee at breakfast from the machine wasn't the best 😅 The one you can order was only slightly better. From a hotel like this you expect better coffee, it's a quick win. The staff should reset any alarms that have been set on the TV's in the room. Once one of the TV's went on in the middle of the night. The TV's also turn on every time you put your key card in the slot. This is a littlebit annoying. My advise: unplug the TV's if you won't be using them.

The location was perfect being 2 minutes from the Old Town, and most, if not all, of the main attractions (museums/churches/river/old town/galleries) were within walking distance. The Hotel was very comfortable, with a very good breakfast selection. The staff (Zahra, Amila, Bakir, Emil) were excellent - very friendly and helpful, above and beyond! We asked them to call taxis on 3 occasions and the longest wait was 6 minutes!! I would not consider any alternative when I return to Sarajevo. Thank you all for a great stay. Future travellers - don't miss Kibe Mahala and Signovino restaurants - more expensive than many smaller ones, an a taxi ride away (5-8KM (less than £3)), but well worth it!!!

In my experience, and to my requirements, there was nothing I would wish to change.

Hotel Sana is the kind of place you could easily imagine calling home. I stayed for just two nights but genuinely wished I could have stayed longer. The hotel is impeccably maintained, with a sleek, modern interior design and thoughtful lighting that creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. The rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean, and incredibly comfortable—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The breakfast is a highlight you won’t want to miss, offering a wide variety of fresh and delicious options to suit all tastes. Located in the heart of Sarajevo’s enchanting old town, Hotel Sana is perfectly positioned for exploring the city’s rich history and vibrant culture. For the price, this hotel offers unbeatable value, combining comfort, convenience, and style. I can’t recommend it highly enough!

No cons, only pros. ;)

Our stay at Hotel Sana was nothing short of exceptional. The property is in a superb location, allowing us to easily explore Sarajevo’s historical sites and vibrant atmosphere. The hotel itself is well-maintained, beautifully designed, and spotlessly clean, creating a welcoming and relaxing environment. The customer service is truly outstanding – every staff member was professional, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. A particular highlight was when we inadvertently left our house keys and wallet in the safe; the hotel team took it upon themselves to personally deliver these items to us at the airport, showcasing a level of service and care that is truly remarkable.

While our stay was exceptional overall, the one minor point of concern was the hotel’s entrance, which is a bit narrow. Families with young children may need to be particularly mindful, as it leads directly onto the road. This is a small consideration in what was an otherwise flawless experience.

We stayed at Hotel Sana in July 2024 and had a pleasant experience. The staff were very friendly and professional, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We also used their transfer service to get to and from the hotel, which was convenient and reasonably priced. The room was small but comfortable, with good Wi-Fi to stay connected. Breakfast each morning in the dining room was adequate, and we enjoyed the nice rooftop terrace for some relaxing moments. The hotel’s location is excellent—just a short walk to the central square and markets. Overall, a great stay, and we would recommend it!

Very friendly and helpful staff who answered several questions, booked taxis for us and organised for us to have a packed lunch on the day we had to leave earlier than breakfast, to take on our journey to Mostar. The location is right on the edge of the old town and the room was comfortable and well appointed. Breakfast was varied and very nice, would definitely recommend this an option to include with the room. BUT, above all.... we left a lot of cash under our mattress and forgot about it until we'd arrived in Mostar, a real rookie error! We called Hotel Sana and they arranged for the next driver of a bus from Sarajevo to Mostar to deliver the money to a specified location in Mostar to us. Incredible service that just wouldn't happen in the UK. Within three hours of us calling, all of the money was returned to us. We cannot recommend the hotel or its staff highly enough. Thank you!

small fridge in room they call it the mini bar, it has water bottle, red bull and chocolates and small wine bottles, my kids eat the chocolate and I had the red bull, we didnt know that we will be charged for this on check out also they tried to charge me for the wine bottles but i told them we are muslims, the nice receptionist acknowledged this and corrected the bill.

The location isn't perfect because it's on a busy street, BUT it is the busy street that is the boundary to the Old Town - so the location is really superb. The hotel is set back from the street. Noise is not a problem, it's just you have to cross the street or walk along it to get to the hotel. The hotel is small and well kept. We booked the family room for the two of us (a double sized room) and that was great. The staff were super nice and helpful. The included breakfast was a full choice - eggs, meat, cheese, fruit, cereal, breads, etc. Alas, they don't have decaf.

The pillows could have been feather pillows. The towels could have been fluffy. The water pressure in the shower could have been stronger (it was perfectly adequate).

Great hotel in perfect location. We were 2 minutes walk from the Meet Bosnia tourist agency that has loads of different tours. All points of interest in the old town were in easy walking distance. The hotel staff were lovely, very helpful. Big thank you to Emil who took us to and from the airport. The breakfast was amazing, great selection of cooked and continental with some local delicacies as well. Overall very good value for money. I will definitely stay again. Keep up the good work Hotel Sana :)

Excellent location, close to the old town area and an easy walk to the river. Very nice staff, really helpful and welcoming. Room was quite small but clean and well appointed.

Parking is quite challenging! But that’s a symptom of the location. Recommend asking reception for locations of alternative places to park in advance as if the small area out front of the hotel is full you can’t pull up on the street due to trams. Breakfast was good but hot food was cold as no burners under it. And coffee was terrible!
