This is a perfectly fine hotel. My room was clean, but could use a lik of paint as a figure of speech. I had a window view where I could see the street and building accross, as it is not an ocean view hotel. You could hear everything outside. So if you are not one for traffic noises and so then this is not for you. Me however, I actually live next to a stadium, train and road, so I could not care less. I sleep through everything. The airco could be better but did the trick for me. It cools but does not make your room cold while I had set it to 18. What I liked less is there is no hose in the shower so you can not clean it yourself. Makes me wonder how the cleaning person does it. Other than that the shower, toilet, fridge electra all worked properly. The hotel is indeed about a 100 meter from the beach as advertised. You are in a safe street near supermarkets, stores, souvenir shops and banks. The only ATM machines that actually gave me money were the ones on the beach. The breakfast was pretty good. Only warm dishes were eggs and sausages. A lot of pastry, bread types, cake, fruit etc. All food was fresh every morning and the restaurant looked fine and clean. No powder Orange Juice:). Overall a pretty decent hotel in a really good spot on the main street exactely between the Copacabana and Ipanema beaches. So if you dont need kaviar, a sea view and dont mind the outside sound, you are set for a decent price. Also I am not sure how much better you would be off in a more expensive hotel at the beach as on both Copacabana and Ipanema there is no hotel directely at the beach. The auto road and walking road and bicycle road are in between anyway. So for distance to the beach and sound I would say go for or certainly try Copa Sul Hotel. Contact with the hotel through Booking.com was without response. They do however respond fast when you contact them directely.

The location of this hotel is excellent, a block away from the Fairmont. Just steps from Copacabana beach and a quick uber ride from major destinations. Ipanema is a longer walk but posto 7 is a short 10-15 min walk. The room facilities are amazing and they offer usb charging a big desk, and spacious restroom. The value for the money is exceptional, and I have no regrets. Do not pay attention to the bad reviews.

The beds were uncomfortable in the sense that they were too firm, but they got the job done. I will definitely stay at this hotel again.

Location was close to the beach, with lots of shops around, and in a safe area. Breakfast was generous, with lots of choices. The room was OK.

The air conditioning unit had pretty large spaces around it that allowed the outside hot air to flow into the room continuously. The safety box functioned intermittently, and staff had to come and fix it twice. The room was a little pricy for what it offered.

Location and breakfast were great, staff was friendly and helpful, safe area near the beach and several stores, short walk to Ipanema beach. Very clean.

Bathroom/shower seemed old, but was very clean. My friend who was staying at a hotel next door was not allowed upstairs to my room.

Good value hotel, very close to Copacabana beach and walking distance to metro. Room was basic but comfortable. Restaurant the same. Staff very helpful and English speaking.

Could do with a refurb/modernisation, but nothing really not to like.

Staff was outstanding, gentle and friendly. Breakfast included various fresh items, such as fruit and delicious juices.

The hotel sets check in time at 14h, which is a bit unconvenient for travelers with children. Check in time at 12:30h noon, as in many other hotels I know, could be much more convenient.

The staff members are quite pleasant and great to chat with, very clean place, well located. They gave us a very nice room located at one of their top floors and really helped us with everything. My friend fell sick and one of the ladies at the reception that spoke English really helped us with that too.

It’s not a complaint but if you want a nice view on the beaches, this is not a hotel that will give you that. But you still get a nice view of the mountains.

Staff was welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was fantastic with multiple choices. Public transportation was accessible. Copacabana Beach is just across about two blocks. The towels were changed daily! After 8:00 pm the area becomes a bit sleazy..

Price a bit high for what It is Very small double bed (not a king or queen size) Breakfast does not have a lot of things, only have salty things for example no pancakes etc ....

Very spacious rooms, great breakfast, the location is also perfect between copacabana and ipanema. We were lucky our room was ready very early so the staff was very nice to allow us an early check in. We enjoyed our stay

We had an issue in the hotel (no water in the morning) but it was solved when we came back - for the rest the hotel is perfect.
