Great location seconds from the beach. Reception staff were very welcoming with good English and literally every member of staff I walked past inside the hotel was friendly and offered a warm greeting and a smile. The roof top pool is small but the outside sitting area up there was nice with a bar and the ability to order food there as well as in the restaurant. The room was clean and comfortable. Air con worked well and it was nice to have a fridge in the room.

My standard room was a little smaller than I expected but still met my needs and was comfortable. I seemed to have an unfortunate room allocation with it being right next to the lifts. Unfortunately this made it quite noisy as I heard the lift going up and down every single time someone pressed the button!I only stayed two nights … after the first night the hotel did offer to change my room for me.

The same manager from last year for the excellent breakfast service was there, and she's doing an amazing job. We were having breakfast on my wife's birthday, and the manager appeared with a cake just for us even though we never said it was her birthday. All the staff is courteous and helpful and the front desk clerks speak English. There are always people available for assistance. Multiple clerks at the front desk means no waiting. The location half a block from the beach is perfect. There are at least two doormen outside in their hotel uniforms to provide safety. The bed was the most comfortable I've ever slept in, other than my own.

I enjoyed every single thing

proximity to many facilities in the neighborhood. Walking distances to attractions, the Forte, sea in both facing Copacabana and to Ipanema. Páo de Acuçar (Sugarloaf) mountain vista taxi ride but not far from the drop off point. Could cycle it. Bicycle track along shore to main strip within distance. Ordering hire bike is two blocks away - best to hire bikes and test out quality - cash or card accepted. Shops for eatery varied and within distance surrounds, by spoke to costs. Bell desk supportive with a variety of choices suggested.

Downstairs a little boxy could open up lounge area- create a covered aspect across, limit the exposure of car park - brekkie at the front . Not easy to have personalized information to discuss international matters as a traveler. Access to current civil services updating for new staff. Offer health and well-being retreat/concepts offered - point of difference- bring a health guy in and do yoga on the beach 7am for client- did not see. The pool

Awesome breakfast, include that option in your booking! Staff have really good English which is hard to find in Brazil and can be hard communicating in places. Very helpful with getting around. The room was decent size and the bed huge and comfortable. One street back from the beach (30 seconds), perfect location for going to both sides to eat.

Pool area is average, but when your 30 seconds from the beach, what does that matter?
