Breakfast was great, better than I expected for a budget hotel. Location was around 7 min walk to Botafogo subway station which was our main mode of transportation during Carnaval. Room was very clean and beds comfortable. The AC was working perfectly.

The room was always getting wet after each shower because the water would leak - this was annoying. The room for 3 people is quite small, hard to keep everyone's stuff in place. The elevators were not letting us go to other floors that we were not staying at. This was a struggle because we were a group of 13 people spread all around the hotel and we couldn't reach our friends rooms without asking them to pick us up in the lounge.

Well located, fair price. The breakfast was simple but good enough.

The payment process was difficult. They did not offer the possibility of pre-payment with any debit or credit card from countries other than Brazil. So I had to spend some time discussing this over WhatsApp with their employees and they weren’t able to really help. I had to manage to ask for a Brazilian friend to do the pre-payment on my behalf.

Great for budget, though we probably paid a bit more due to the high season. Bathroom was a bit dirty when we arrived but cleaning staff was amazing and helped us out.

The location was one of the reasons we decided to stay at the IBIS Botafogo. It is near the subway and easy to travel to tourist attractions. The area feels safe and there are a lot of bars and shops around.

I fully understand the concept of the hotel and being budget friendly but if you have long legs keep in mind that the room where the toilet is located is very small and that might result in having to keep the toilet door while using it.

The hotel is well located in Rio de Janeiro, in a neighbourhood close to the city centre and the city's south area. The staff was professional on my arrival. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel is close to the metro station, a shopping centre and a few bars and restaurants.

I stayed alone in a double bedroom and I found it quite small. It was okay for me, but it could have been challenging if travelling accompanied.

The staff were professional and efficient. The room was mostly clean. The corridor and some of the rooms have a nice view of the Christ.

Some of the lights in the room were broken and rusty. The windows were a bit dirty.

Great location, great value for money. The staff was friendly, beds comfy, shower good, silent room. It's not luxury but for a budget hotel it's pretty great. Many bars and restaurants all around, subway station nearby. Felt safe. The staff even helped me recover the headphones I forgot there. Great service.

Great location, about 15 minutes from SDU airport and very central to get to know the main points of the city. Infrastructure was overall new and modern. The reception has some utilities and food for sale, which is convenient.

Very nice budget hotel overall, the breakfast was good, the shower was great. The bed was good too. The staff was very kind and the woman at the reception spoke spanish (we are from Argentina).

The room was smaller than expected, but it wasn't terrible.

Good for the price. The room was very simple but for few days was more than enough. Easy to reach Metro or other places. The area is not the safest area in Rio but it is what it is, you're in Rio! haha Always taking an Uber is the best solution. Staff was fine.
