Clean, well-kept room and bathroom.

A staff member called the room and woke me up in the morning. She wanted me to come to the front desk to provide documentation that the night staff should have gathered when I checked-in the night before. I told her that I wanted to sleep. I said I would provide the documentation when I was ready to come to the front desk. She insisted, and forced me to go to the front desk to bring the documentation. We argued and I couldn't go back to sleep. I was quite upset because I arrived in the middle of the night, was very tired from a very long flight, and thought she was unreasonable. All other staff were great!

Location is very convenient. Very good breakfast.

When checking in the hotel clerk wanted me to pay in euros, instead of local currency. The rate proposed by the hotel’s payment terminal machine was not good. He advised it was my card that was proposing the rate which is incorrect. I paid in local currency which was then later converted at a better rate by the card issuer. It took a couple of attempts with the payment terminal to get the local currency. He also advised that I could go to a nearby ATM, which at nighttime is not good. Hotels need to stop this practice of trying to profit on foreigners.

Location is perfect to tour Rio! Metro station is close; however the fare for two is more or less like using uberX from this centrally located hotel direct to the attractions, like Sugarloaf or Chris the Redeemer or the famous beaches. Bear in mind though cheap uberX service is provided by vehicles which are very worn out. We were given a room facing Christ the Redeemer (see photo). Reception and restaurant staff are all great. Breakfast is okay (see photo for juices). Same everyday for our 4 night stay. They had security people all day guarding the entrance and outside. There is a Tuesday market in Margo and we ran into that and got lots of fruits - great! Felt safe going out day and night.

Checked in at night with the reception staff not speaking English is a pain in the neck. Cash foreign exchange rate is extremely unfavourable there; so use your credit card. I do not expect the window covering to be made just enough to cover the window; that makes the room look cheap.

Great location, 5 mins walk to the Largo do Machado Metro stop. Busy location, plenty of people, shops, places to eat, felt very safe there. The hotel was wonderfully old-fashioned, by which I mean the staff were friendly, knowledgable and plentiful., they answered our questions, booked a day trip for us. The breakfast buffet was really good, too. We spent three days there, very happily, would book again in a flash.

Great find in the Catete area of Rio de Janeiro, close to the Flamengo Beach area and loads of local restaurants and bars just a couple minute walk away. It was a good choice for a quieter stay on one of the back streets in the area and not too busy with traffic, and Uber available within a couple of minutes. Really comfortable double bed, really great breakfast, hotel is popular with local Brazilian business travelers. They have a really great rooftop area with a pool and sitting area that looks straight towards the sunset on the 11th floor with uninterrupted views right up to Christ the Redeemer as an added bonus. I'll stay here again if passing through Rio!

needing to leave!

Located less than 5min walk near the Largo do Machado Metro stop. The Metro is quick, easy to use, air con and cheap. Metro and Uber are definitely the way to get around. Hotel is ideally located to reach all main attractions with little effort. Lots of great places to eat out near by. The sun deck, pool and spa are great with a great view of the Christ the Redeemer statue. Easy walk to the beach nearby and fantastic walks along the coast.

The Hotel and staff are great. The only exceptions would be the beds are quite hard, so if you like a soft bed these wont be. Alarm clock didnt work and although mentioned wasnt replaced but hotel does walk calls so minor issue. The main disappointment I had was an evening meal which I had the spaghetti bolognaise. The bolognaise came in a separate bowl, was more more like a soup and didnt taste good.

Breakfast is outstanding. Pool area was very nice, pool bar, food available. unfortunately we there during carnival and it was booked solid. Rio was over run with visitors. Parades everywhere. It is a great location if you are wanting to visit during carnival however we were not aware until we arrived. Rooms are very comfortable. Food in the restaurant is excellent. All staff were very polite & helpful.

Can’t think of anything.

Small but clean room. Had TV, mini fridge with drinks and even some snacks. The hotel had a free breakfast buffet and also offered lunch and dinner for a very reasonable price. I did not have an outlet converter, and the hotel provided one free of charge. Very polite, friendly, and helpful staff.

The area outside of the hotel was not used in the photos, and for tourists can look a little intimidating, but despite the sounding street, we enjoyed the areas within walking distance safely until sundown.

Location is amazing. Very central to everything and only 10 mins from the beach. Staff very friendly and helpful, especially the doormen and receptionist. Room was nice, bed comfy but sadly we could hear the noise from the rooms on each side and in the hallway when people were wheeling luggage. The pool was a nice touch, however the mini pool was never clean. Breakfast had a good variety and again the staff were very polite and accommodating. We also had a fantastic view of Christ the Redeemer!

The pool needed a little more attention and the doors leading to the corridor could be soundproofed a little better

Breakfast very good! Staff very pleasant! On the eve of March 7 though, there was brown-out that lasted for about 50-55 minutes! No one/nothing was done to inform us of what happened! I asked one of the staff members the following day and no one seemed to be aware of what happened the night before. Guests should not be kept in the dark; otherwise, our experience with this hotel was a very pleasant one!😀

They should provide a skid -proof mat. Bathroom floor was so slippery so I used a towel for safety measures!
