Nice place. Good location. Excellent staff. Very very helpful and patient especially with someone like me who does not understand a word of Spanish. The staff at the reception - every one of them - went out of their way to guide me, my first time in Brazil and Rio. I wish I remembered their names, so that I could mention it here. Thank you everyone. I had moved to Ibis from another place that I had booked through Booking.com because that first place - where I spent my first night in Rio - was very inadequate and did not meet my expectations at all. The move to Ibis - even though I had to pay twice over for my stay in Rio - was well worth it. Ibis was what I had in mind in Rio.

Nothing at all. But if I am compelled to mention anything at all, I will say that some of the waiters at the restaurant where they serve breakfast etc. could be a shade better behaved. Perhaps they were over-worked. Or could not answer me because of language barriers. But they left me feeling let down.

the staff. the staff. the staff. terrific . very helpful. the location is pretty good with a 10 minute walk to the underground. if staying in this hotel there are taxi outside but make sure they use the meters. but a sort walk and you will find all the minor things to see. but the major ones you need public transport. a bit of home wprk will be well worth it.

The staff was super friendly and helpful. The check-in and out was quick. Despite the hotel being simple the room was sparkly clean and quiet.

Even tough the location is near to everything, the nearest metro station was Carioca, the pathway to the station was not that safe during the night. But everything is reachable by Uber or taxi. The prices ended up being very cheap considering the location of the hotel (since it is near to everything).

It is an older type of hotel that provides standard comfort. The room was clean, cleaning every day.

I was missing a filter device for drinking water. In many hotels, it is available in common areas so that guests can pour filtered water into a bottle whenever they need it.

Located in the heart of downtown Rio, easy access to subway and other public transportation. Close to specialty shops and stone's throw from Lapa. Cheap taxi ride to neighborhoods like Catete, Gloria, Botafogo. A few underworld characters once the sun goes down but with a taxi stand outside the entryway to the hotel, you can easily avoid any incidents. I stayed on the 9th floor and it was quiet. Bed was great, cleaning service solid, water temp and pressure excellent. Spacious room. The staff were friendly and attentive.

As you exit the elevator at the lobby level, the restaurant aromas can be a bit overwhelming sometimes, other than that, nothing to complain about.

This is my 6th time staying. Great bang for the buck, especially if you're conducting business in the downtown area. The staff is what shines at Ibis Rio Centro: they communicate well, are responsive to your needs, and always available, including front desk and ancillary staff.

I find relatively minor things (normal wear and tear that is unavoidable) are negative, perhaps more so on the lower floors, the upper ones are nicer indeed.

Clean bedroom and clean bathroom. The location is walkable to the tourist attractions. Appreciation for the lovely staffs, we love that we can keep our luggage after checkout and the staffs are really nice! Thank you!

Breakfast was a great add on. Mucho beuno. Eggs could have been better, no whites and a bit dry. Room was small but efficient and clean. Lunch and dinner were very reasonably priced and food was good.

Amenities in general were lacking. Drinks available only at small fridge at front desk. Location was secure in itself but outside proximity was dark and forbidding 🚫 😐.

Didn’t let me have dinner at 9:20 pm, it was said that at 9:30 was the last moment to have dinner There was plenty of food on the buffet and still didn’t let me pay for having dinner

Great rooms, super friendly room service and impeccable cleanliness. Very good service and very tasty food, whether for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The coffee machine didn't work on one of the days, but they fixed it quickly.
