We had a wonderful stay! The property is beautiful, and the owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious and a great way to start the day. The location in Santa Teresa is fantastic, with many great bars and restaurants nearby.

The only minor downsides were that the bathroom seemed a bit outdated, there was no hot water in the shower, and the pool pump was quite loud in the mornings. Also, the room was a bit dusty. However, these small issues didn't significantly impact our overall experience.

Bindu and her husband are AMAZING hosts and made me feel right at home. When they learned of my interests, they were sure to give me their personal recommendations of places to visit and go while in Rio! The location is walking distance to everything but quiet enough to get a great night's sleep. As a solo woman traveling, I felt extremely safe walking at night, and there was a guard posted on one of the nearby streets as well. My bed was comfortable, room was spacious, and breakfast was tasty with the natural.juice being different each day :-). I would HIGHLY recommend staying here (Sta Theresa) over the busier areas in Rio. As I stayed in Copacabana and Casa Beleza the only thing to note is that sometimes Ubers don't care to take you because it's a lot of driving uphill and some drivers don't know how to follow the GPS to the house (my last driver got lost is how I know). But this only happened to me once, and I wouldn't change staying here at all as Bindu also has a taxi service she offers guests!

Everything was great! I would just keep a landmark handy for Uber if you don't rely on the called taxi service which is higher priced.

Casa Beleza enchanted us with its beauty! We had the most marvelous stay here. The host family and the staff are very welcoming, attentive, nice. Gatherings with the other guests started some memorable nights in Rio for those who wanted to conntect. Breakfast is excellent. Couldn’t recommend more.

Walking distance to Santa Teresa. Lovely breakfast offered each morning on the patio. Nice pool to cool off in after a day exploring Rio. Our room was very large with a rooftop deck with great views. Owners offered a few tours. We opted for a hike to the Christ statue. Also a private favela tour.

We liked everything about the property!

The hotel definitely exceeded our expectations. The staff was very polite and helpful both in terms of our stay at the hotel and in providing tips about Rio. This is one of those rare cases where you have high expectations for a hotel and then it turns out to be better than you thought it would be :)

Run by a lovely hospitable couple who speak excellent English this is an exceptional guest house in a lovely quiet part of Rio. We stayed in bungalow no 2 which was so comfortable and clean with a great rain shower and upstairs area, gardens are beautiful and well maintained. There are plenty of bars and restaurants within easy walking distance and area felt safe to wander around in. Bindu organised a couple of tours for us , we particularly enjoyed going out with Claudio to see the historic parts of Rio. Such an amazing city and this was the perfect place to stay.

This is a beautiful house in Santa Teresa with a great swimming pool. Bindu and Antoine are superb hosts and they gave us great insight of things to do in Santa Teresa and in Rio. The breakfast was varied and delicious. We had a fantastic and quiet room away from the main house and with a beautiful view to downtown. It felt like staying in a treehouse where monkeys, birds and butterflies came to visit us. This is the perfect place to stay in Santa Teresa with easy access to our favourite bars and restaurants.

This is a beautiful boutique hotel full of character in the most atmospheric neighbourhood in Rio. Our villa was secluded and stylish. Breakfast on the lawn was lovely and the owners were so helpful and welcoming. It's just a short and safe stroll to the fun bars and restaurants of Santa Teresa.

Beatiful setting in a charming part of Rio. Friendly host and delicious breakfast served in the garden, surrounded by birdsong and tropical plants. The location is great in Santa Teresa, very safe and near to some nice bars with live music.

The property is beautiful. The host is wonderful, super friendly and offered many great suggestions. They offered a lovely breakfast with a wide variety of food, including assorted fruits, crepes, breads, eggs, fresh juice, coffee & tea.

The moist tropical climate has made the bed covers and curtains quite musty. They need to be washed.
