I've reviewed an earlier stay at this hotel, but I decided to stay another few days there so I'll review it again. La Water Villa is a pleasant charming hotel located south of Siem Reap city centre, a few minutes walk from many of the main places of interest of central Siem Reap. The high street is located nearby, and anything else is a Tuk-Tuk away! I booked a deluxe room with balcony; The room was functional, clean, spacious, with a big bed, it's own en-suite bathroom, wardrobe and air-con. The staff were very helpful and courteous, and on arrival, the gentleman on reception took my bag to my room upstairs. Breakfast was available, and included with good options. This is a big plus as many European hotels now do not provide a "B&B" model. However the breakfast restaurant was closed one day a week if I recall. The attached restaurant is a Japanese restaurant. I didn't eat there, but with the excellent breakfast, the dinner options would be a good bet. The hotel offers many tours, as do many in Siem Reap. I booked with the hotel to do the Angkor temples tour, a dinner show, and bus tickets. Patric, the manager was extremely helpful in arranging all this for me, making my stay very seamless at the hotel. The hotel also offers transport to/from the new Siem Reap airport (around 45km away from Siem Reap). The hotel was so responsive, I booked my car only two hours before I arrive, and the drive and car were there waiting for me when I arrived. They also arranged bike rental. For Angkor temples and sights, the hotel arranged a very good local Tuk-Tuk Driver, Mr Hong, who drove me around Angkor and wider Siem Reap during my stay, and ensured I had a lot of time on tours. I would recommend both the hotel and my driver to anyone staying in Siem Reap. There are many accommodation options in Siem Reap, to suit all budgets. For me, based on service, location and stay, La Water Villa is good choice to stay in Siem Reap.

Nothing to say here, except to point out, the hotel has no lift, so anyone with physical restrictions may have some difficulty with upstairs rooms. There are downstairs rooms, and the staff assist with luggage however.

Good location in Siem Reap within walking distance of the main restaurant/bar area and markets. Located on a quiet street, around 20 meters off a main road we didn't have any noise disturbance despite being on the front of the hotel. The staff were incredibly professional, upon arrival we had a great check-in experience with information about the hotel, the local area and local tours available. Breakfast was included in our booking and was brilliant, a choice of French toast, fruit and yoghurt, eggs or eggs and bacon all served with warm bread, butter and jam with a choice of tea or coffee and a huge vessel of iced tea. It was served in the Japanese restaurant next door. Our room was pretty spacious, clean, the air-conditioning worked great and the Wi-fi was excellent too. The staff at the desk helped us book "the big tour" with a guide, helped us hire bicycles, (that were delivered to the hotel and collected once we'd finished), and helped us arrange a sunrise visit to Angkor Wat, we didn't pay a great premium for any of these either. We felt it was worth doing at the hotel to ensure we had a good experience.

Some minor concerns, although not the fault of the hotel directly, I feel it's important to note. We took the "big" tour option with a guide where there is a stop for lunch and we were taken to a restaurant that, although had great food, was really, really expensive. I can only assume the guide makes commission off this and having worked in the industry I know it's common, but it was still a frustrating extra cost on top of the tour itself. There also wasn't anywhere to refill our drinking water, although fresh bottles were available. We're trying to reduce our plastic usage. Again, these are minor gripes and we can't recommend this hotel enough.

I could pick from a few options for breakfast the evening before and the following morning we would enjoy our choice. The food was plenty, very tasty and well presented. The bed was very comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and the spaces were kept immaculately clean. The location was excellent- close to the river walk, markets, great food, pub street etc.

No complaints. We expected more in the way of toiletries, received tiny soaps and tooth brushes with tiny toothpaste. Fortunately we had our own so this was not an issue. The TV in our room was not working. We didnt miss it.

I booked La Water Villa for a stay in Siem Reap whilst wishing to visit Angkor Wat, using it as a base. La Water Villa is located in a quiet part of Siem Reap, but conveniently located close to the centre, which an be walked to in 5 minutes. I booked a deluxe room, with balcony, large bed, aircon, ensuite, and desk/chair. Very comfortable. The manager, Patric, was very courteous and helpful in arranging tours for Angkor Wat, providing a very reliable tug-tuk driver to take me around. He also booked a local dinner Khymer show for me, and the hotel booked onward bus tickets. All staff at La Water Villa were extremely helpful and courteous, assisting with enquiries, baggeage, laundry etc. Breakfast was included in this hotel, with good options, and very good food. All in I would recommend La Water Villa: Siem Reap is full of hotels, for all budgets, due to the saving of Angkor Wat. For me, this hotel provided me with an excellent stay for my visit to Angkor Wat, with excellent customer service. Very recommended based on my experiences.

Can't think of anything

very well located on a side road just off the main road. very friendly staff who were very helpfull. they had a small table and chairs at the reception, where you culd sit down and have drink! they were also helpful in organisingthe tours and guiding us around the city

they didnt have a lift and we were on the second floor, which meant that we had to carry our luggage all the way to the top to ur room on the second floor.although while checking in the receptionist without any hesitation carried one of our bigger boxes all by himself!

The wifi is quite good, the room is clean, and the amenities are pretty decent.

My room was located on the 2nd floor (in Cambodia, they count from the ground floor, 1st, then 2nd floor). Upon check-in, the receptionist helped me to take the luggage (only 1 luggage fortunately), but when check-out, I needed to carry it down myself, no lift :). And the AC was right "shoot" on the bed!, thus it was quite cold :). TV wasn't working! :). I needed to plug the cable 1st, but it still wasn't working, but it is fine. Overall, it's not bad. I enjoyed my stay even only for one night. Thank you :)

Location was good. It was cheaper to book Grab tuk tuk to get around. After check out, there was a bathroom to use for showering before taking the night bus. They let us keep the bath towels for that shower, and return the towels after it

Owner was sometimes responsive via messaging and sometimes not so. I would like to be assured that the airport transfer arranged by the hotel was going to be there to pick us up on arrival at airport

Located in a small quiet street, not far from the city 'centre' (a few minutes walk to Pub Street). . Friendly couple at the Reception with good English. Welcome drink and cold! towel upon arrival. Room not small, very clean, 4 poster comfortable bed, larger window and nice bedside hanging lights. Good beds with nice light duvet. OK, clean bathroom with good shower. Quiet A/C, minibar, electric kettle, coffee/tea, water. Excellent WiFi.

Large screen TV with 2 (two) Cambodian channels and terrible picture quality! Practically No TV (in 2024).

Date Checked-in: 13 Feb 2024 Date Checked-out: 16 Feb 2024 Recommended; value for money Friendly staff and helpful management. Room was clean. Though room size was small (for a double room), it had all the facilities, including fridge. Tea/coffee sachets and two (small) bottles of water provided daily. Overall service was good.

The approach road is dirty. Our room (203) AC was not cooling enough. This problem remained throughout despite the property acting promptly on the complaint. No switch (for light) near the bed.

Lovely hot shower. Soft bed & pillows. Working fridge & air conditioner. Quiet. Balcony to sit or hang washing. Staff...beautiful people & professional. Cleaners do a wonderful job. Clean room. Easy stroll to the tourist area & river. Reasonable price. I spent nearly 5 weeks at Le Water while working with a Khmer NGO. I was very happy with the service at Le Water.
