The Hotel transfer Van from airport was clean ,tidy and the driver’s uniform was excellent,the driver was friendly and smiling. The entrance and lobby designs are excellent,with friendly staff and welcoming Ice tea The lift was all glass, you feel it roomy with Excellent view of the hotel, and beneath was a fish pool The room was spacious,clean tidy with good bedroom sheets Excellent bathroom every thing was available Didn’t like that the lighting was not good,the room is big and there was no enough light Also there was a nosy desk clerk every time he sees us going out he asks where are you going, every time we came in he says so much things you are buying and in the last day on check out he put his hand on one of my bags and says oh the bags are stuffed

I am so glad I stayed at Somadevi Residence in Siem Reap. The location is wonderful because you can walk out the door and you are so close to restaurants, coffee shops, and markets. I could easily walk to Angkor Market (a big supermarket) to get supplies, water, food, snacks, etc, or a local restaurant. There are also tuk tuks waiting outside the restaurant that can take you to many places in town for just a few dollars. The breakfast was so great--lots of fruit, homemade noodle soup, made to order eggs and delicious coffee. I also appreciated all the great service from Mr. Charles who picked me up from the airport and gave great tips for my stay and made sure I was doing well. The pool is nice as well. They give you bottled water in your room and toiletries. There is also a gym on the premises. The location was the best part! Tip: When traveling to Cambodia, make sure your money is in perfect condition. They will not exchange it otherwise (this is everywhere).

The staff were all fantastic, polite, helpful and very friendly. The room was spacious and really appreciated the quieter side looking out at the coconut trees rather than the street. We stayed for 8 days so the quieter room was greatly appreciated. The room was cleaned daily and very well done. The included breakfast was fresh, many options and delicious every day. The fresh coffee was so welcome each day. The spa services were exceptional (used twice). The pool was refreshing, clean and really enjoyable. It is possible to get beverages and meals also at the pool as well as the cafe or the restaurant on site. The hotel is quite near local restaurants for local cuisine as well as higher end restaurants if you choose. It’s an easy tuk tuk ride to Pub Street or anywhere really. Easy to walk locally. Very flat. We would like to thank all the staff for their attention.

The only thing a little disappointing were the pillows. A bit rock hard but otherwise nothing negative to report.

The facilities are great with spacious clean room and a nice swimming pool. it is only 10min walking distance from the pub street and night market. Very good breakfast and the reception staff extremely friendly and kind. I also loved the fact that this is a hotel owned by Cambodians (unlike most of the hotels in the area who belong to foreign investors) and therefore you can support local businesses by staying here. It has been an excellent experience and we would definitely come back if we visit Siem Reap again.

i don’t really have anything to say as I liked everything

The arrival at the hotel was very pleasant. There was a driver waiting for us at the airport, when we arrived at the hotel we were offered a drink and bags were brought to our room. Check in was smooth, although we did feel the staff might have been a bit pushy on proving tours in the region. (When we finally decided to go with a private guide it turned out one of the highlights of our 3 week trip!) The design of the hotel is beautiful, nice swimming pool, and polite staff. We received an upgrade after arriving at the property. Breakfast is great, sufficient healthy options.

The room, although very big, did feel a bit outdated and was noisy. Room door was facing the street and a lot of road noise came in at night.

From the moment we were picked up from the airport via the hotels free shuttle, we were greeted with nothing but positivity and friendliness. Mr Chales was hugely accommodating in ensuring that our stay got off to the best possible start and throughout. All other staff were also very accomodating and friendly, an example is where they allowed us to stay after our checkout, with full use of the pool and gym. Pool and gym were very clean, and well equipped, as were the room that we stayed in. Definitely try the banana bread at breakfast.

Unfortunately due to the TV's being updated, we had no remote and thus no access to the TV. Some elements of the breakfast were disappointing, for example stale Cereal.

Good location, in a quiet street, just a few minutes walk from “Pub Street” and plenty of restaurants (there are also tuk-tuk outside in case one doesn’t want to walk. Angkor Wat and the other ancient buildings are reachable in just a few minutes by car, so that’s perfect. Staff was very helpful and ready to accommodate all our requests, including a change of room. One of them even came with us to the airport to send us off. Room were comfortable and breakfast was good. We didn’t use the facilities but they seemed very nice.

The service at the hotel restaurant was slow but food was good.

Lovely room, good breakfast selection and very attentive staff - even including a few words in our mother tongue. Nice and clean pool area - perfect for refreshment after setting the whole day. Breakfast in courtyard! Organizing trips and drivers at reception very convenient. Street food and local ice cream (made in Cambodia market) right in front of hotel.

pool bar was not attended and for “happy hour“ one had to go to reception to order - a simple button to ring for service would be the solution.

Huge rooms and spacious bathroom with both shower stall and a bathtub. Fine swimming pool in central courtyard. Superbly courteous staff, willing to fulfill any guest wish. Central park, royal palace, and buddhist temple are within short walking distance.

Mosquitoes everywhere, those buggers just love to hang out around room doors. Ceramic tiles on the edge of shower stall basin (shown in my photo) have sharp edges. I sliced my big toe against them. Otherwise, no complaints, which is nice!

Solid hotel, pleasant, spacious, well appointed - although a little dated - rooms. Breakfast was good and staff could not be more friendly

Be aware there are two Somadevi hotels joined together it is entirely unclear which is which is which and which you are booking. The booking.com driver didnt even know and took me to the wrong one
