The French/Khmer villa feel was charming. The staff where amazing and the food was great. I loved that the hotel have a work experience program that offers employment to young people entering the workforce. This hotel is my new favourite place in Siem Reap. Tuk tuks at the door, all staff were smiling and a cold beer at the end of the day. Living the dream🤓

I didn't like some of the customers. They treated the staff poorly which made me feel uncomfortable. This hotel has a budget friendly option so maybe your window doesn't open fully or your door has a small gap but that's what adds charm to the place. They do have more expensive rooms near the poolside and a sister hotel if you need to stay in something flash. But for. $20ish a night it's great.

Peaceful atmosphere. Room large and clean. Pool was excellent.

The location is perfect - right in the center of town hidden down a charming alley surrounded by other hotels, restaurants, bars (really enjoyed Embargo craft beer bar nearby), night market, riverside, moto/bike rental, etc. Pool was nice, room was fine, basic buffet breakfast was included which was a great and happy surprise! Staff are friendly and helpful. Outstanding value for the rate!

Facilities weren't exactly as noted on the hotel listing. For example, no safe in room and the were no glass pane windows, instead they had classic wood shutters with mosquito screens (which is totally fine, although the room description indicated 'soundproofed' which it can't hardly be, lol). Small issue, no big deal.

I love everything about Villa Wat Damnak. It's safe, secure, clean, the staff are accommodating, the breakfast is so good, and they accept cash, online banking (QR) and credit as a form of payment. Villa Wat Damnak has the ambition to help students and underprivileged to secure a job. Hence, you will see in the villa that most of their staff are either working students, fresh graduates, or coming from different parts of the country. I feel at home and I will definitely come back. Aside from that, it is very close to Pub Street. It is just walking distance to the Riverside. I love the place so much. I'm 100% sure I'm going back here ☺️

If there's one thing that should be improved is the mosquito management in the area. I have seen one or two mosquitoes in my room. If they can put mosquito spray in the hotel room, that would be nice.

1. Each and every one of the staffs are super kind and helpful. They were there to help us all the time. 2. The location is a bit away and yet still close to the main street, so you can stay quiet and reach wherever you would like to go. 3. Room conditions is well maintained. It is simple and basic but we do not need anything more than that. Great value for the money. 4. My daughter did not like the first day breakfast as she always want to eat some rice. I told them about this and they prepared fried rice from the next morning. 5. The tuktuk driver, Narong who are working with this hotel is a young good man and we had great days with him, exploring Angkor wat. 6. They allowed us to take shower after check out and leave in the evening. 7. When we left with tuktuk, one of the receptionist lady came out and waved us until we go away. I did not know it as I never expected such hospitality but my daughter later told me.

what i like in this property are the staff, they are very accommodating specially Sophann the receptionist she is very helpfull for our needs, kind and jolly.. secondly the location its just a walking distance to market and pub street.

hopefully soon they will put water bidet and some rugs on the floor but overall its a worth of money to stay.

The staff at Villa Wat Damnak are what separates it from other hotels. They are just fantastic. Incredibly friendly and could not be more helpful. Particularily Chamrath, he met us on arrival and with excellent english was able to quickly sort out our 5 day stay in Siem Reap. He was an invaluable resource during our time there.

Great location, staff are super lovely and helpful. Place is well maintained and the villas had good character, lovely place to stay.

It would have been nice to have upstairs/rooftop balcony cleaned up and accessible and the pool layout was different to what we expected from pictures. But perhaps was because we visited in low season.

Hotel is phenomenal. Staff is super friendly, you feel so welcomed. Price is great and you have everything: pool, breakfast (some eggs, bread, fruits, fried rice and coffee/tea), location is perfect, you can get everywhere from there. Amazing experience, very cozy place.

Bathroom was a challenge, nothing terrible to be honest, just quite bohemian.

I was so lucky. Because the owner moved me to the five star Boutique(Sakaban Suite). The room very beautiful, clean, Big size bed, very comfortable and near to center of the city (Pub Street). Thanks you
